TurnKey Vacation Rentals

This company is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!!! My family and I recently evacuated from New Orleans due to hurricane Ida. We were originally told that utilities would not be restored for about one month, so I booked a rental home in Gulf Shores, AL so my family had a place to stay. Thankfully, utilities were restored in our area much sooner than expected. I tried calling Turnkey to request a cancellation and refund to which they told me I would need to get approval from Airbnb (who I booked through). I contacted Airbnb about it and they told me they understood the situation and would be fine issuing a refund as long as the host company (Turnkey) would approve it. I then went back-and-forth with Turnkey probably around eight times trying to get approval for the refund and cancellation. Not only did they lie about not receiving a request from Airbnb, but they continued to pass the buck and say that it was Airbnb‘s fault, which it was not. I also explained to them that my husband is active duty military and had received orders from his command to return to work. Even with this they didn’t care. I also contacted Turnkey several times to try and get a supervisor to call me back. Nobody ever did. This company lies and does not care one bit about people. I will NEVER rent any home that is managed by them EVER again!! Update: I just received a reply to my review. Of course, they seemed very apologetic for the issues that we were having, yet NO ONE has reached out to me to try to make things right. The only email that I received was one once again stating that they would not be willing to issue any kind of refund even given the circumstances of having to be evacuated and being active duty military. Once again, do not use this company to book any vacation rental whatsoever! They are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with and don’t care at all about people, only making money!

We had another wonderful year at this property, which is perfectly situated and well stocked for an enjoyable summer. The beach couldn’t be more convenient and the Mashpee area has great options for shopping and food. Turnkey was helpful and responsive. My one comment would be that the cell service here is pretty bad, and while the WiFi is great, Turnkey mainly communicates through non-iMessage text, which can make it hard to connect with bad WiFi. Moreover, text responses often come from numbers which, when you respond to them, block your response with spam filters. Turnkey should consider how to improve this communication system (maybe by converting their texting to Apple or offering some sort of WiFi texting option).

I recently spent 5 days in ocean city Maryland on Philadelphia st and 6th street location we had a 4:00 check in the cleaning crew which consisted of two people were still there and left at 7:30pm we noticed that the comforters were on the floor in all 5 rooms as they were changing sheets I consider that to be unprofessional and unsanitary we went to Walmart to buy mattress pads ,pillows and sheets because we felt uncomfortable with that seen we were offered a 360$ dollar refund for that inconvenience i don’t think that was sufficient for the inconvenience considering how much we had to spend the house was not that bad but the pictures we saw online were definitely old pictures there were cigars and ashes all over the porch which we cleaned ourselves I think next time we will be better off renting hotel rooms that is not the way to run a business I was very disappointed the way it was handled we are not animals so don’t treat us like one

Everything was just perfect! A+++. We are going back to the same place tomorrow for 2 more weeks.

The best part of this rental is the location. It’s really close to everything in a super quiet neighborhood. It’s the first time I stayed this close to the boards and I loved it! Everyone was really responsive with things too via text. Onto the negatives. I was pretty upset about how unclean it was upon arrival. Granted they did offer to come and clean it but some of the things just shouldn’t have been that way - coffee cups left on the from porch, gum stuck to chairs, gum wrappers,goldfish in drawers, and a bathroom in need of some severe updates. It was pretty strange that they only offered two rolls of toilet paper and two rolls of paper towels when we arrived, but did end up giving more. Additionally the app really needed to get updated - it took me a day and a half working with someone via text for them to give me the correct WiFi name and password. It just seemed like a lot of confusion there. Granted I would book with turnkey again but I wouldn’t book at this location. It needs some major love but their customer service is good and their prices are very reasonable.

Wonderful house that meet our needs and exceeded our expectations. The wonderful patio with a huge dining table was our favorite spot, we ate all meals outside and enjoyed the Santa Fe weather. The kitchen was supplied with many gadgets and utensils and has deceptively large storage space.The kitchen appliances were great with a new, top of the line dishwasher. The laundry room also was great with lots of supplies. The 2 en suite bedrooms were at opposite ends of the house which allowed privacy. 2 additional bedrooms shared a full bath. The beds were very comfortable.The living rooms in the house were great because they were open to each other but also felt cozy and comfortable. Great book shelf with many books for the art lover and the traveler. The local property management representative quickly brought us kitchen towels when we discovered there weren't any available.

The house is even better than the pictures and in a perfect location. Nicely furnished, huge kitchen and the hot tub is great We had a couple of concerns that Turnkey was able to resolve nicely. We will be back!

The unit had everything you could ever need while on vacation. Everything was very clean. Beds were very comfortable! Check-in and check-out is seamless. The short walk to the beach is beyond convenient. We will be staying again.

We had a great stay at a house in Frover Beach. It was clean, quiet and Turnkey was easy to work with. There were parks right around the corner, great restaurants within a short distance and it was in close proximity to the beach.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. We rented a house for 14 people, only enough beds for 13. Where they said there was a full bed there was a twin. After 24 hours an employee shows up with two pillows and a mattress pad for someone to sleep in the floor! For 24 hours I received text apologizing, but never a call or someone to show up to fix the problem. I had to pay for a hotel room for one family to stay in, would you want to sleep on the floor on a mattress pad? Secondly the home was disgusting when we arrived AND WE HAD TO CLEAN THE HOUSE! This home is not looked after well, proven by the large hornets nest in the roof line on the second story. WE WILL NEVER USE TURN KEY AGAIN! You can never reach anyone but the person answering the phone. Everything is done thru email-and most won’t be back until the weekend is over!

This is the best vacation rental we’ve rented. A very upscale house which is a great location and fantastic Mountain View. Exceptionally clean and well stocked. We plan to rent again next year. The only suggestion would be to add a TV to the second bedroom. We had a fabulous time with Brevard a very nice city centrally located in close proximity to many destinations. Five ⭐️ Star.

The house is nice however there were streaks on the stove, looks like someone sneezed on the mirror in the living room, there were only 2 towels in the master bedroom, in the room with the bunk bed there was only a wash cloth in the bathroom, towels were left in the dryer, there was no propane in the tanks, the bedrooms were incredibly hot in the evening

I would give 0 stars if I could. They do not care about the health and safety of their guests. We can't even drive into the town our rental was located in due to a wildfire, and they did not care and still charged us full price for the rental. I do not want any other person affected by this scam of a place. PLEASE DO NOT RENT THROUGH THEM!! I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Life happens and they do not care.

The condo gives a beautiful view of the ocean and is appointed pretty well. It needs to have the area rug in the living area cleaned. Some minor things that need attention are a person to check out what code opens the storage cage because the one given does not work and someone to check the lightbulbs that aren’t working in several of the rooms. Some cleaning supplies like Windex for the glass tables and cooktop cleaner would also help. The cooktop was not clean upon our arrival.

What a pleasure dealing with a very professional company. From my first encounter with Inez to the completion of the rental, I was impressed with the professionalism , knowledge and patience afforded me. Glad to see a company that still values its customer service.

The place we booked and paid $1200 for 3 nights was infested with roaches and was dirty and smelt like fish. This was nothing like what was presented in the pictures. This is suppose to be where my Honeymoon was going to be. We had just gotten married an hour or so prior to checking in. Then we had to leave in the Middle of the night and find elsewhere to stay due to the filth in the condo. It’s taken over a week for anyone to get back to us. The owners of the property wanted to send back a cleaning service and we declined. Then they wanted to send pest control over but they said they wouldn’t be there till after we checked out. They might be okay sleeping with roaches, but we weren’t. Especially on our honeymoon.

Turnkey provided helpful periodic updates and guest information prior to our stay. We experienced some minor issues with the entertainment system. They responded promptly and fixed the problem.

Overall the cabin was generally clean. The floors were a little sticky. The bed linens and towels were dirty and needed to be washed.
