TurnKey Vacation Rentals

I accidentally booked a not pet friendly unit and Ashley was amazing with helping me locate a different house for our Christmas vacation that was pet friendly and near everything we were planning to do! She also was able to get me a deal compared to what I was spending on the house we had first booked!

Starting from the beginning, the money wasn't properly charged and was never taken out of my account. I had to call to have the issue fixed. When I asked for something for the trouble nothing was done, no discount on the price. The day before we arrived, there was no early check-in or late check-out available which was a real bummer. The bedrooms upstairs were very hot upon arrival and the A/C was not working up there so sleeping up there proved to be difficult. Overall, the cabin was very nice but TurnKey did absolutely nothing to accommodate me or help/incentivize future business. Might be looking elsewhere next year because of this. Thank you regardless.

If I could give them 0 stars I would horrible customer service and will not give any refunds not even a part of one even though the property is under evacuation and my son has covid they don’t mind that we come with covid and spread it to all their guests will never rent through them again

Raul was wonderful! We had a complex, long-term request, and he worked with the homeowner and got everything sorted. He stayed in contact and gave updates to reassure me that things were progressing. A valuable member of your team!!!!

Booking was great. The number of emails just got a little too much, when I didn't complete the process immediately! Otherwise, all my questions were answered very quickly. So far, so good.

We have not yet stayed at our chosen property, however our booking process with TurnKey Vacation was very easy both online and over the phone. We would use TurnKey again.

The room is nice, clean. The 2nd bathroom isn't flushing. The internet is not working. That's hard when trying to catch up on work after traveling..... a fan is not working in 2nd bedroom, but there's 2, so we are using that one. Everything else is very nice!

Edit: not perfect but they gave me a travel credit. Corporate were quick and kind and gave me credit. The employee I spoke with initially was curt and pretty unhelpful. Hoping to have a better experience with Turnkey in the future! There are fires in Lake Tahoe with in a very close distance to the location I was renting. The air quality is horrible and it's dangerous to be there. I wanted to cancel my trip over a week before going and they've refused to refund any of my money and we're extremely rude to me about it. They're a snakey company that is more than happy to screw you out of your money, even when the trip is for a proposal. Useless 3rd party that steals from their customers.

Second time staying here and it’s a 5 star stay again.

We had a very nice stay! The description of the unit was spot on you could see the beautiful ocean right from our window. We did not rent a car we used the bus which takes you about everywhere on the island. There was an ocean blue food truck next to the hotel and the food was great. I would definitely stay here again. Representatives were polite and professional. I cancelled my trip only because the details of the location were changed by the owner. I will use Turnkey again for future travel.

This is a HORRIBLE COMPANY with terrible customer service and horrible policies! I have travelled all over the world and used a variety of rental services and never have I ever had such a poor experience as I have had the first time trying to use this company. I’m Part of a bachelorette party who spent over $2,000 altogether for a rental property in South Lake Tahoe which is under mandatory evacuation right now due to forest fires, 10 days before our check-in date. This company has refused to refund us one penny for a rental property that we couldn’t even get to if we wanted to!!! We aren’t even being refunded the cleaning fee! It’s insane! DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH TURNKEY RENTALS!!!! Myself and the other bridesmaids and bride are out $500 each and without a bachelorette trip

Our Sept 11th wedding was cancelled by the venue due to the entire city of South Lake Tahoe being under mandatory evacuation orders. Every vendor has been understanding and rescheduled for next year without issue. Turnkey refuses to let me know whether my booking which begins on Sept 8th will be refunded, even though the roads are closed. At this time, we won’t even be able to get to the rental due to the Calder fire unless the roads reopen by the 8th. I don’t know who will be cleaning and prepping the home for our visit, since it is a misdemeanor violation to even been in that area. Turnkey is just going to “wait and see” what happens, apparently they have a “team on the ground” that they “aren’t getting any updates from,” to let me know whether we have to go to the home (assuming the evacuation is lifted), or if they will refund. I’m praying that they will refund if we aren’t able to go, they have not promised to do anything. I don’t imagine it will be a stellar vacation, but I, like most, on principal can’t let my thousands of dollars go to the host/company without getting something in return. So if we are forced to, my fiancé and I will use the home and do our best to enjoy, though everything I’ve read says the locals are disgusted by the people that are choosing to continue with their vacation plans. Maybe these people that are disgusted are fine with throwing thousands away. No one is benefiting from this disaster, except for the hosts/companies that refuse refunds and the customer never even uses the home. So we’ll go if made to. I’ve gotten the texts with all of the door codes and how to prepare for our arrival. I can say that dealing with the stress of having our wedding cancelled and rescheduled was not fun, but everyone except for Turnkey has been gracious and accommodating throughout. I will definitely be booking a hotel for my family come June 2022 rather than dealing with any of these short term rental services.

This place was so nice and perfect for our stay only issues is they could use some more pots and pans and the beach is not located as close as the listing states
