Typical bait and switch. We book 1st class flights to and from Seattle. I received an email from Travelocity that made it sound like American Airlines made the change to business class. The only option I had was to accept the change or cancel the flights. Now let's see if I keep my flight! Never again use a 3rd party again!
Travelocity is a scam.Ticket prices continued to vary throughout the checkout process. After consenting to increased prices on two occasions, the total shifted once more. Upon logging off, I received two fraud notifications from my bank, JPMorgan Chase, regarding unauthorized charges from Travelocity for ticket upgrades, despite not having finalized the purchase.
The site fools you. We did a package resort and flight. The hotel showed in cozumel and the flight to cozumel but when it was all booked and searched for the hotel address we would have had to take a ferry to the mainland!! Ridiculous. Not only that the transport to the hotel was not included!! Now we have to find a shuttle then a ferry and then a taxi!! Crazy. Travelocity agents can't speak English and make it sound like they don't know anything about their own packages. Maybe if you super proof read everything, double check addresses you can use them, but beware of making any changes and check if transport is available.
The journey was smooth!!Will visit again for bookings!!
Booked a flight Vancouver to Ottawa with Air Canada on Travelocity. I did a chat with Travelocity to see if I could change my ticket dates. They said no. I contacted Air Canada just to verify and received same answer. A few minutes later I get an email telling me I cancelled my flight. Travelocity blamed AC. AC Management confirmed with me that Travelocity cancelled it, they could see IP address in India that did it and they could do nothing for me. It was non refundable ticket. I had to rebook and more than double the price. The fight with Travelocity was endless but once they knew I was going to file a chargeback with my bank they refunded me the money stating it was still AC's fault. I asked them who was going to cover my difference in price? They were acting as my agent. They should cover me and deal with it however as I did not cancel my flight myself. They claim to have no knowledge of IP address to trace etc etc. I said I find that hard to believe that your techs cannot access that information. I am still battling and filing about the difference I had to pay. They were upset that I cancelled my Car rental with them. I asked them how do you know I did it if you cannot see IP address? Of course they were caught off guard and cannot answer that. Its pretty clear that when I chatted online with agent to ask about changing my flight they cancelled it. I downloaded entire chat. Not once did I say cancel nor did they ask me if I wanted to cancel. Travelocity needs to own up to their error. More and more horror stories of this company. They need to be shut down. Someone needs to take out class actions for some of this stuff. Great for searching for different flights but from now on I will book directly with airline once I choose my path.
I booked a flight and made a mistake on my birth month immediately called them and they refused to fix. They rather cancel my booking than change a number. Had to cancel and rebook with another website. Do not use Travelocity
This was the WORST hotel experience that I have ever had in my life. The location itself was extremely beat down and there were windows broken and doors off hinges. There are people on the property walking around as if they’re on drugs and it felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe! My room was on the 2nd floor but I couldn’t even get out of my car to go into the building as I felt that I wouldn't have been alive today. I’m called the front desk from my car to tell him that I’m going to cancel the rest of my stay and won’t stay for that night. The guy at the front desk was nice and said he would call the manager to see if they could refund me. I dropped the key off and he said that the manager doesn’t come back until the next day which sucked but I drove several hours until I found a decent place to stay. Imagine flying all day from Florida to Kansas City to get to this place. I’m so disappointed because the online version was much different.
Brussels Food Tour with Full Meal - Do Eat Better Experience: 11:15 AM, Brussels Food Tour with Full Meal - Do Eat Better Experience in Multilingual Our Guide Laurent was wonderful! This is truly an experience that can make a visit to Brussels an extremely positive experience. Laurent was on time and accommodated our needs and interests. My husband and I learned an awful lot and we had an exceptionally good time. I can't say enough good things.
This is the WORST company. I would give it negative 500 starts if I could. Customer service is bad. They hang up on you. Stay away from this company. Travelocity and Expedia are same owners / companies. When they get bad reputation in one company, they just stat another. DO NOT ever use Travelocity or Expedia.
I had a disappointing experience booking a hotel through Travelocity. I reserved a room advertised as “free cancellation” and “pay at property.” But to my surprise, my card was charged immediately — and when I tried to cancel, the process was a nightmare. Customer service was extremely unhelpful. I was passed from one agent to another, and no one seemed to take responsibility or provide a clear solution. Eventually, I gave up and lost money on a reservation I didn’t use. This experience completely ruined my trust in Travelocity. I won’t be using this platform again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values clear communication or reliable customer support.
I would gave zero star if that was option , From Paris to San Diego stoping in LAX , for 50 mints flight I had to wait 15 hours , asking to change my flight , told me I had to pay $400 , wow , never ever I am going to use their service.
Travelocity gets 0 stars from me. I recently booked a set of flights for many family. The website did not say the flights were in US dollars (nor does the website say it is a USA company). The receipt (from them) did not say it was in US dollars. I did purchase cancelation insurnace. Imagine my surprise when my credit card showed up in US funds (about 1/3 more than Canadian prices). I feel Travelocity did not advertise properly. Why show US funds outside of the USA? What is more, I can not access my cancelation insurance. It doesn't qualify (even though they have 5 months to resell the tickets). Travelocity offers 24 hours cancellation but that does not give enough time to see a payment on your credit card. I will never use Travelocity again. I warn others to avoid all third-party booking websites. I will only be looking directly with an airline now.
I tried to book a last minute hotel through travelocity. I put in the date March 22, 2025 for that night and looked through hotels. Booked a Fairfield for 168 dollars. I started traveling to hotel and looked at confirmation. Date for hotel was April 21 a month away. I tried to call but only automation so chatted with someone and explained the mistake that had happen. Hotel canceled 20 minutes after booking it. They stated they would talk to hotel and get back to me about refund. Next day, the apologize and say hotel refuses to refund because it was non refundable. I called hotel and they say travelocity is the one getting money and refusing to refund and that it was booked through expedia not travelocity which may explain the date switching as well. I am now out 168 dollars and reporting them to BBB.
This company is a scam to their customers as well as the airlines themselves. I had a direct round trip flights booked well in advance. A few weeks later, I got an email stating that the flight leaving the country was going to change from a non stop flight to one with a layover. No big deal. It happens sometimes. A few days after. I git another communication stating that my return flight was also going to be changed from nonstop to a layover. I called Travelocity and asked why they changed it. They said that it was the airline the ones who made the change. I asked if there was anyway to change the flight from its departure point to a different city. I provided all the details. The new flight info would even be much more less expensive than their proposed departue. They agreed to make the changes. I got a confirmation email stating that the flights have been changed. All good. Now to today. My flight is in less than 48h and got an email notification at 2:00am that the flight had been changed back to the original departure city. I am in a completely different state. I called the airline (Delta/Aeromexico). They say that becaus was booked through a 3rd party, all changes need to be done by travelocity/expedia. I called expedia at 7:00 am. It is currently 1:27pm and i have been on the phone all morning. They just told me that the only option that they have is to cancel the full flight, give me a refund of $290.00 and rebook the flight from the new city (which they had previously approved and confirmed) which would come to over $1000 more expensive. Now i have to scramble and get a bus/ rent a car to go to a different city because they refuse to honor their agreement. Worst experience ever. Never again.
They will sell you cancellation insurance and not honor it when you go to cancel. They say they will try and contact the hotel, yet don't call. I called the hotel and aske. Then they say that they are a third party and cannot cancel, but they will transfer it to another team that will contact you yet they never do. You try the whole process over again two weeks later and get the same exact excuses. This isn't the fault of the reps in the chat or on the phone. Do not book through them.
If there was a minus one star, I would put it on here ! they are the worst ever they took our money, even though the ticket said refundable, and they will not refund a ticket nor will they give us a credit and encourage us to buy travel insurance and the insurance covers Nothing, unless it’s a catastrophic event . They are a total scam never never never use these people ever. They are horrible crooks and thieves. !
I booked with them. They never send the itinerary to review. When I got to the airport, I was denied due name wrong. If they send the itinerary I would correct the mistake. They robbed my entire money. Never again with them
This is the most abysmal company I have ever worked with. I tried changing my plane ticket to leave earlier. Their IVR system didn't work. When I would push 1 it wouldn't register. However, when I would call Delta, my bank or anyone else it registered just fine. I even went through all the potential trouble shooting tips I could find. Eventually I was forced to use social media. It took 8 hours. I am not joking 8 hours to get a flight. When it got time to actually book it, they switched customer service reps and I had to start all over. I really needed to change my flight so I started all over again online. After another 6 hours of continual "I apologize, please let me help you and I will check on that just wait 3-5 minutes." Someone finally gave me a different number that accepts collect calls. Guess what, I got right through this time. When I got to an actual person they put me on hold and promptly disconnected me. I called back, got a supervisor who took more than 45 minutes to find me a ticket and by this time, the price had increased over $400. Travelocity didn't want to reimburse me for all the mistakes lack of efficiency, customer service that dragged one single ordeal on for almost 24 hours. I will just pass and never use them again.
Absolutely horrible experience, I booked a car rental through Travelocity, we arrived at our destination called 3 different numbers to finally be told where to go, went and saw the person who was supposed to take us to pick up the car and as we wave him down he takes off. Call the rental office and the same number that I called 4 minutes earlier mysteriously goes straight to Vm. After 30 minutes they call back from a different number and say it's our fault somehow & that he will be back after his break. I let them know to cancel as well as Travelocity, both companies kept the fees they charged us. Absolutely will never deal with Travelocity ever again
