Door een vluchtvertraging in China kon mijn kameraad 2 dagen later aanwezig zijn in Lanzarote. Ik had al een wagen van bij Cicar. Dus ik met zijn vrouw naar de luchthaven, want alles was al betaald. Totaal geen begrip daar en zeker geen hulp. Zelfs een arrogant lachje. Ze kreeg hem niet mee omdat haar man hem geboekt heeft. Terwijl ze wel als chauffeur opstaat. Na 2 dagen kreeg zelfs haar man hem niet meer omdat je de auto binnen 24 uur moet ophalen. Nooit meer Topcar... Wij noemen het flopcar. Nu nog hopen dat ze het geld terugkrijgen.

Avons récupéré les informations et dû payer une assurance supplémentaire tout risque de 68 € pour 15 jours et avons du aller récupérer les clés à un autre endroit sans grande explication. Le GPS ne fonctionnait pas de retour en agence refus de changer de voiture car pas d'autres voitures avec un GPS. Vidange a 1200km. Pneus dégonflés...

Fantástica experiencia!!! Lo aconsejo totalmente. Habíamos reservado un descapotable pequeño, y nos dieron por el mismo precio un precioso TRoc, nuevecito. El trato también muy agradable, así que repetiremos.

I booked a car on xpedia ( this company tried their best) but topcar is the worst company ever Don’t book with them My wife has no creditcard of herself So I did the booking I gave her my passport picture the booking confirmation and my creditcard that I used to book this car She is not allowed to collect this car It is paid in full until 3/8 20 days from now They said the car will be available 24 h after collection date How is this possible if you show up ? I can believe this is you don’t show up Other carcompany I don’t have this problem

Der check-in Vorgang ist eine einzige…

Der check-in Vorgang ist eine einzige Katastrophe. Wir haben über 1,5 Stunden gewartet und hatten nur 10 Leute vor uns (nach uns waren es mehr als 40 Leute!!!). Die brauchen pro Eincheckvorgang über 20 Minuten - wofür???? Und dann wollen die mir noch eine Versicherung andrehen, die ich nicht wollte. Angeblich braucht man dann die 1000€ Kaution nicht zu bezahlen - die auch noch tatsächlich abgebucht werden!!! Mal sehen, wann ich das Geld wiederrbekomme.

Not a Top Experience

I had an awful experience with Top Car and would not recommend them to anyone. From start to finish, the whole process was frustrating and stressful. The signposting to the car collection area was completely unclear – I had to go to the car and then back into the airport terminal, wasting time and causing unnecessary hassle. The car itself was in a terrible state – covered in scratches, dings, and damage. I was genuinely concerned that they’d try to pin it on me, so I ended up having to take around 50 photos just to protect myself. This level of damage should not be acceptable on a rental car. But by far the worst part was the staff. Every person I encountered was extremely unhelpful, unfriendly, and just downright miserable. No smiles, no attempt to assist, just grunts and cold indifference. It felt like I was a nuisance rather than a customer. The only exception was the guy who checked the car at the end – he was fine – but by then the damage had already been done. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Save yourself the stress and go with a different company.

Unseriös. Gangstermethoden, nicht dort mieten!

Wir haben ein Auto in La Palma am Flughafen für 4 Monate gemietet. das erste Auto war ok, es musste leider nach 3 Monate gewechselt werden. Das 2. Auto dagegen war ungepflegt, weder innen noch außen sauber gemacht und hatte an die 20 Ditscher. Nach 19 Tagen fing die Kupplung an zu rutschen, wir waren gerade im Norden haben es aber noch nach Hause geschafft. An nächstenTag musste das Auto getauscht werden, man zog mir die 700 Kaution ab und weigert sich, sie mir zu erstatten. Spezialisten hätten festgestellt, ich hätte das verschuldet. Meine heimische Werkstatt sagt, das sei hochgradig unseriös und sei gar nicht so feststellbar: Irgendwelche Vormieter können hin und wieder die Kupplung erhitzt haben, und die Andruckfedern hätten ev dann nicht mehr ganz den nötigen Druck, was zu einer schnellen weiteren Abnutzung führe. Aber die die Kupplung funktiniere dann meistens noch solange bis die Belege aufgebraucht seien. Es seien auch in der Fachliteratur zahlreiche solche Fälle dokumentiert

AVOID AVOID! They also delete any negative comments and BLOCK You. My father hired a car and the clutch burnt after 3 days, they then sent him a €2,400 bill and told him if he didn’t half they would take legal action (they also took out the top insurance) Scam company, avoid at all costs, they will rip you off and scare you into paying by threatening legal action

Stay away from Top Car

We hired a VW Convertible from Top Car for five days, taking out the top insurance which we believed covered us for every aspect. WRONG. After three days the vehicle would not go into gear, i am no mechanic but it was as though the clutch had overheated. We waited an hour to have the vehicle towed and replaced. After we arrived back in the UK, we received an email stating that the clutch issue had been caused by the driver and demanding 1400 Euros be paid within 48hrs or the price would go up to 2800 Euros. I explained that we had only had the vehicle for three days and when we collected it there was in excess of 62,000 kilometers on the clock, so surely this had been wear and tear on vehicle that is continually on hire to hundreds of customers. I asked for evidence to show it was us who had caused the damage when we had only driven 120 kilometers in the time we had hired it. We were sent a photograph of a burnt out clutch along with a photograph of a receipt written in Spanish for 2800 Euros and the threat of legal proceedings against us. I have since written reviews on Top Car sight to warn others and i have now been blocked. People should be aware of how this company operate, they are dishonest and have no scruples, so avoid at all costs.

RIP off on collection

We booked our car hire only through this company as Autoreusen did not offer an automatic. Firstly the admin when. We went to pick up the car was giving the hard sell on its additional insurance. Then came the bombshell when she asked for a deposit of 900 euros to be earmarked against are credit card. Can you imagine the shock after just arriving for your holiday to be told to take extra insurance or pay the enormous deposit. No way was a deposit of that size mentioned anywhere in the terms and conditions despite the company knowing what car we had booked weeks in advance. Our first port of call is always Autoreusen as they neither hard sell the additional insurance nor never ask for a deposit of any kind.. Quite frankly we will never hire a car from them again, only shinning light was the free upgrade given to us but if had known the demand for that size of deposit in advance we would have cancelled on principal alone, regardless of the risk of no additional insurance which we fully understand. Do not hire from TopCar if you do not wish to be pushed into things against your will nor any nasty surprises with regards to deposits demanded at the last minute. Fully recommend Autoreusen for a no nonsense approach to car hire with not one nasty suotuse at the counter. Be warned !

Im Dez/Jan auf Gran Canaria. Wir haben genau dass Auto bekommen, wie bestellt. Freundliches Personal. Sehr unproblematische Abwicklung, sowohl beim holen als auch beim abgeben. Nach 2 Tagen war die gezahlte Kaution wieder auf unserem Konto
