Door een vluchtvertraging in China kon mijn kameraad 2 dagen later aanwezig zijn in Lanzarote. Ik had al een wagen van bij Cicar. Dus ik met zijn vrouw naar de luchthaven, want alles was al betaald. Totaal geen begrip daar en zeker geen hulp. Zelfs een arrogant lachje. Ze kreeg hem niet mee omdat haar man hem geboekt heeft. Terwijl ze wel als chauffeur opstaat. Na 2 dagen kreeg zelfs haar man hem niet meer omdat je de auto binnen 24 uur moet ophalen. Nooit meer Topcar... Wij noemen het flopcar. Nu nog hopen dat ze het geld terugkrijgen.
Avons récupéré les informations et dû payer une assurance supplémentaire tout risque de 68 € pour 15 jours et avons du aller récupérer les clés à un autre endroit sans grande explication. Le GPS ne fonctionnait pas de retour en agence refus de changer de voiture car pas d'autres voitures avec un GPS. Vidange a 1200km. Pneus dégonflés...

Lo aconsejo totalmente. Habíamos reservado un descapotable pequeño, y nos dieron por el mismo precio un precioso TRoc, nuevecito.
El trato también muy agradable, así que repetiremos.
I booked a car on xpedia ( this company tried their best) but topcar is the worst company ever

My wife has no creditcard of herself
So I did the booking
I gave her my passport picture the booking confirmation and my creditcard that I used to book this car
She is not allowed to collect this car
It is paid in full until 3/8 20 days from now
They said the car will be available 24 h after collection date
How is this possible if you show up ?
I can believe this is you don’t show up
Other carcompany I don’t have this problem
Hatte einen Wagen mit Vollkasko ohne Selbstbeteiligung u Kindersitz gebucht. Bei der Ankunft, wollte man extra Geld für den Kindersitz u nochmal für die Versicherung.
Acabamos de llegar y al recoger el coche de la categoría que teníamos, un chico nos a dicho que nos daba otro más pequeño.Con 3 niños pequeños imposible meter todo..hasta que ha llegado Andrea y en nada nos ha solucionado el problema..nos ha cambiado el coche por uno más grande y todo perfecto!!gente como Andrea deberían tener todas las compañías tan resolutivas..un saludo María
We made a reservation for an automatic polo on the 14.04.2025 at the Costa Adeje office. When we first got there the woman working was very abrupt and rude. After filling in all our details on the form she told us there was no automatic which wasn’t a great start. Then began to tell us that they’d be extra charges if we use a debit card and also a €900 deposit. We then asked where on the website it says the deposit would be as much as this and she couldn’t point this out. She then back tracked and said it would only be €14 for insurance. At this point we ended up walking out and catching the bus to Porta del Cruz which was 2 hours long each way and fair to say this ruined our day. We had no choice as we had tickets booked for Loro Parque. Should have read reviews before reserving the car, I’m not surprised this company is rated so low on trust pilot. AVOID
Depositum blev ved billejens afslutning tilbagebetalt til vores kreditkort til en lavere valutakurs. Ved afhentningen betalte vi 1.200 EUR til kurs 761 DKK, ved aflevering blev det tilbagebetalt til kurs 731 DKK, altså blev vi snydt 360 DKK, svarende til ca. 48 EUR.
Firstly, I don't like giving 1 star reviews, but this company thoroughly ruined our day in Fuerteventura.
So the message, DON'T HIRE A CAR WITH TOPCAR AT THE CRUISE PORT AT THE WEEKEND. WE AGREED TO PAYMONEY 155 Euro and received no service. Yet, all their emails said everything was prepared and encouraged the pre-filling of all the information for a quick handover.
I arrived at 10am at the office, as agreed. There was no one there. Called the number displayed at the office. Pre-recorded message they're open Monday-Friday 8-8. Then I chose the breakdown option. No response. 2nd attempt a nice lady answered, apologised and promised a callback after 10 minutes. Even verified my phone number. Just she never did come back. Later I found an apology via email saying their port office was not open at the weekend.
If you book with them don't be disappointed if you don't get service. If you book probably better just Monday-Friday and better at the airport.
Finally, they didn't destroy our day. We had a lovely day anyway. Just fancied seeing the dunes of Corralejo again, lunch in El Sombrero and a wander through the old town. Instead we stayed in Puerto Rosario. If they had told us beforehand I would have been able to book with another company.
Es la primera compañía que me ha sustraído una colonia de mi coche y me parece bochornoso como me están tratando. Sin duda alguna no vuelvo a trabajar con ellos
As like most people before hiring a car I read all the reviews I could find to assure me they were a good company. As you’ll see there’s mixed reviews but I can only give you my experience which I have to say was fantastic.
Picking up the car, no queue we went straight to the desk and got our papers in about 10 minutes. I have car hire excess cover on my travel insurance so didn’t need the additional cover, the salesperson didn’t push for the sale and didn’t try to scare me in to buying it directly either, which I’ve had in other companies! Went down to the car park to get the car, was given the car and pointed to it straight away.
The car was in good condition, bar a few minor scratches and marks which was already documented. Got a VW Taigo which was nice car. Had 22k km but you couldn’t really tell around the car or the drive.
Handed the car park, just gave them the keys and within 20 minutes my bank notified me of a full refund on my deposit. As a cherry on top the exchange rate went in my favour and I got £30 more!
Overall very seamless, very nice to deal with. Would defo hire with them again.
One week rental on a C1 category from Fuerteventura airport. After a few days, we ended up with a flat tire on a major road that was not paved. Tire was beyond the use marks and we had paid the extra 55€ for extra coverage (and no 900€ deposit).
Yet, when we called road assistance : no assistance would be provided without paying the deposit online, we had to wait 4 hours for the tow truck and ended up being charged 854€ !!! And of course once it is paid you cannot reach them anymore and nobody answers your mails.
