Very professional and responsive when arranging and managing our rental property. Really quick to sort out repairs too when we first moved in.

As landlords we had a number of issues with Thornley Groves and our previous property manager. However, since Amanda O'Harte has taken over responsibility the service we have received from Thornley Groves has improved significantly. Amanda is a very personable and capable property manager who responds promptly to all our communications.She provides very good liaison between us and the tenants and has been extremely helpful in resolving a number of problems.
Overall we are happy with the with Thornley Groves. Our property manager Amanda helps the best she can when needed and is very pleasent to deal with.
Rabia has been extremely helpful and efficient during our rental process. Has went above and beyond to get us a property within a short timeframe.

Still not got my name off the tenancy. Moved out in October and still being used to have someone else’s name. I have not received a end of tenancy letter or my deposit back The company is not a good company My complaint was dismissed and told they would deal with it internally I’m not happy

Never will I ever rent from this incompetent awful company! There is not enough space to list every single issue I had with them so I will summarise... - Terrible customer service - Property management team do not respond - Urgent leaking bathroom issues ignored for weeks - Very very old and misleading photos used as marketing - Deposit will be held as long as possible and you will have to go through the TDS to get it back months later as they do not listen or care about the tenants whatsover only the landlords opinion! - They never answer the phone - They charge the lowest fees for landlords so expect the worst of the worst service and landlords who could not give a damn about the tenants or properties.
I own properties in Florida. Mark and Tom were great. Professional, experienced, diligent and friendly. We got above ask.
I have never found a company that has managed to continue in business this incompetent. I can only assume that the market they are operating in is so easy that they manage to survive. TG Estates agents did the following with the property they managed for me. I have broken it down into categories of issues: Financial - I never received a financial invoice statement from them unless I requested it. I often had to request several times. - On reviewing invoices I found both double charges for items and mystery costs that weren't associated with my account. I had to correct these for them with at least 50% of the invoices that I had to work so hard to get from them. If I didn't know they were such a professional company I would have thought they were attempting to pull the wool. - I never received the payment from the tenant on the same date. Sometimes it was close to when the tenant was, and other times almost 3 weeks after. Wild. Contract management - During the signing of the contract they lied to both me and the tenant. They told me that the tenant was going to pay 6 months upfront. When I received only the first month's payment from them it took 4 phone calls and over 10 emails and 2 working weeks to get a measly 'We are doing some research to find out what happened'. - When I spoke to the tenant they told me that the agent had made several promises on my behalf that I did not make. One of these was that part of the rent was to be returned at the end as a form of 'extra deposit'. Doing this would have breached UK law on rental deposit caps. - It took me 4 months to solve the issues that I stated above and when I did they refused to return the fee they charged for facilitating the contract they screwed up so royally. Only when I threatened legal action by reporting them through the ombudsman did they yield to my request. General management - Lost the spare set of keys to the house and then lied about it. - After I requested they change the locks at their expense for losing the keys they sent a locksmith to the house without replying to the request or informing either me or the tenant - When they finally managed to arrange the lock change they tried to charge me for it in the rent without me agreeing to the charge (because it was their fault). They contacted me several times threatening to have the locksmiths go to the house and take the locks out the door if I didn't pay. Luckily after I contacted a lawyer they stopped asking. - At best their reply time to emails was anywhere between 7 and 14 days. - The person managing my account in the space of under a year changed 5 times. The real saving grace for TG is that they tired me out during this whole process, batting one excuse to another coming from a different representative every second week, that I was too tired to pursue any proper action for them to be penalized with. Alas, I write this review. edit: the reply has to be a joke, right? Contact customer support so you can what? Reply to me in 4- 37 working days.

Had Lucy Hobson take over a pressing issue concerning my tenancy with Thornley Groves, in place of another colleague who was on leave. Was promptly dealt with, and is now a weight off my shoulders. Thanks Lucy!
Personally, I would never choose to use this agent - I am a guarantor for my daughter and they are only interested in making sure you pay your rent so they can be paid. When the landlord breaches the contract - they do nothing other than send emails. Landlords have legal responsibilities - but they do nothing to ensure they comply! Make sure YOU check the property before you move in - as they don't. In our case, they have been totally ineffective at resolving issues as after 5 months of the tenancy commencing/moving in - still no kitchen lights, a shower that does not work, items left by previous tenants, mould!! and water leaking through the roof when it rains (and much more) - and this is in an expensive central Manchester apartment! Finally - they use Goodlord referencing - avoid this if you can as they also have a legal expenses policy as part of this.

The viewing was good obviously Kelly was very nice and she was there before time to help us. The property was small but yes not up to our expectations. Kelly dermott was very good with her customer skills and she knew the moment we were inside that we were not happy so she assured us that we have other viewings also. Overall even if we did not like the property as it seemed like some tenants with pets were living, but the customer Service or the Hospitality giving by Kelly was brilliant. Thanks again Kelly❤️
The staff at thornley grove have been so supportive, especially Ashley smith who has been so open to all our questions and been quick to respond to us every time- highly recommend thornley grove!
