First time using Thornley Groves to view property they have on sale, found Kerry McDermott the viewing colleague to be prompt, knowledgable and very approachable. Although I am still deciding if I want a second viewing, if so would request Kelly to accompany.

Imogen is a kind and caring property manager who allows you to feel respected and heard as a tenant. She is thorough and gets back to you quickly.

Kelly showed us this property and, as always, she was friendly and knowledgeable. It is so refreshing, and important, for those of us who are investors, for the agent to be well informed and Kelly always is! Thanks for a superb viewing!

I have just moved in to a rented property in Altringham let by Thornley Groves, the agent Melissa Smith was great she quickly set up a viewing to suit my work schedule and helped me through the process of setting up the rental agreement. Keys were available and ready for collection yesterday and a tenancy pack has been sent which contains all the necessary certification Thanks again the location and flat are excellent

We have been working with Beth Stevenson in trying to rent a flat and she has been wonderful to work with. She is very responsive and informative and pleasant! I highly recommend her to anyone needing a real estate agent.

The apartment above mine & managed by Thornley Groves had a water leak resulting in water running down my walls, through ceiling lights, bathroom extractor fan, smoke alarm etc. Obviously I reported it to Thornley Groves & Building management company at the earliest moment. I spoke to two people at Thornley but was rudely fobbed off when I asked for help & the landlord’s details. In the meantime I had to arrange an emergency electrician, costing over £500 to rectify, I also got quotes for cleaning & decorating cost as requested by Building Management but still not a peep from Thornley Grove. 13 days later Akash finally makes contact, not to apologise or say everything will be dealt with but to dispute my claim and to be completely on the defensive, hence getting legal advice! As a landlord of numerous properties in the area, Thornley Groves would NEVER get my business!!

the absolute worst estate events ive ever had to deal with. even 1 are is far too high. this estate agents left me and my partner with hot water for 9 MONTHS. We had faulty electrics in the property so our electric would just trip on and off all the time, which also meant the heating couldn’t be on as this would trip the electrics more along with many other things in the property. sent so many emails & called them practically begging them to come and fix it which they sent maintenance who even admitted loads of works would need to be done, which would never get approved by the estate agents and or landlord. overall such rude employees here don’t want to ever help you at all and honestly don’t care about you at all. a property with this company caused so many mental health issues i now suffer with depressed, probably because i could have a hot shower or put my heating on for nearly a year!!! also when we did move in it was freshly painted to cover up the MOULD that covered the whole property from head to toe in our bathrooms, kitchen, bedroom, walk in wardrobe everywhere. despite reporting this to them very quickly they tried blaming us for it, even though we had no ventilation (bathrooms had no windows) and the vent that was installed was broke, probably due to the dodgy electrics! would stay well clear of this apartment. even tried charging me after i left despite me having to leave early due to the disgusting and unsafe environment one of there properties had.

NEVER USE THORNLEY GROVES I am yet to receive my deposit from them 4 MONTHS after the end of my tenancy. It is impossible to contact the staff as their phones do not work and they often ignore emails. I have had to go through a dispute process to reduce the extortionate deduction that they made for cleaning and now they are not even willingto pay the undisputed amount. This is without mentioning the torrid time I had in their property, constantly having to request repairs and making formal complaints.

I couldn’t recommend Thornley Groves enough. Especially Stephen, Colette and James. They have gone above and beyond with selling my flat. Having both bought and sold through them. They have made it a seamless experiences. Thanks again to the wonderful team at Thornley Groves.
