It was a challenge using the gift card I received. The massage therapist was very hyper and it was not relaxing at all. My appointment was at 5:45pm after an hour of trying to figure out the payment and her hyper activity I finally left at 8:30pm. I have a child at home that I told I would be home in approximately an hour and half on a school night. this was a much needed massage that I got no benefit from. Super bummed I wasted $85.00 on this.

egift card not exchangable

Unfortunately, I didn't notice that if an e gift card was purchased it could be canceled/updated. In error, I purchased a card for $100 instead of $25and was disappointed to discover I wasn't able to cancel the card, credit the money to my account and then get a card for the correct amount.

I had to call twice to figure out how to use my original gift card. On my first call, the Customer Service Adviser (CSA) wasn't helpful and I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold for over 10 mins and the CSA never connected me. I called back and the 2nd CSA recommended to use my original gift card to buy one on the Spafinder website. Simple solution and worked right away even though it took 45 mins on the phone to get it done.

I have been using this company for at least 8 years without a problem. I ordered a spa gift card for my Mom’s birthday. Spafinder was to email my Mom’s gift card the day before her birthday. She never received it. She didn’t receive it until after I called to see what happened. This was unacceptable because this was my Mom’s first birthday without my Dad, in 64 years! He passed away a few months ago. She really needed this spa day. They had no explanation why it happened. Very disappointed.

The Spafinder service worked well

The Spafinder service worked well, however the Maryland Live! Spa overcharged for the services provided, despite the fees advertised on the website. A price adjustment was made a day later. The gel manicure color chipped within 48 hours. Unsatisfied overall with the service.

Gift giving was annoying

Gift giving was annoying. Had to call to resend gift certificate bc it wasn’t received. Turned out it went to spam both times. Hard to surprise anyone when you have to tell them to check their spam folder.

Terrible experience with a terrible website.

I bought a gift card for someone and the website said it would be delivered electronically immediately, it wasn’t. The numbers on the website were meaningless for general questions. I was told wait time on the phone was less than a minute every min for 25+ min. Later, after researching other phone numbers to call and after a couple transfers, I got someone on the phone who was not helpful at all. She was rude and combative when I was trying to get my question answered on why the electronic gift-card wasn’t delivered. They should be ashamed of themselves on multiple levels. Big mistake using this website, never again. ********Updated to respond to the hollow reply by Spafinder on 11/6/19 below********* Thanks for the meaningless information, the number you provide is the same number that I called and got nowhere, it was only after several minutes of research that I got a number that got through to someone. Additionally, the email address you provide in your robotic response below isn't listed on your website either, you may want to look into having a channel for people with general questions to be able to speak to someone. Lastly, I see no attempt to address the rude person that you have answering phones over there. I can only assume that type of behavior is acceptable within your organization. Might want to list that on your website too? I hope people read this so they can see what a joke this website/service is. My advice would be to go directly to the source and get a gift-card from an actual SPA or the Spa's website. Don't waste your time with these clowns.

Ordered a gift card online & never received a confirmation email. I submitted a customer service request since the charge showed on my card - no response for 3 days. Followed up again and they issued a ticket (after 3 days!). A day later they replied that the issue had been resolved without contacting me at all. Had to contact the recipient and she ultimately found the gift card in her spam folder, but totally took away from the spirit of gift giving making somebody dive into spam, and customer service was non-existent.

Never felt the desire to write a bad…

Never felt the desire to write a bad post about a business. If you don't like it, don't buy again or don't go back. There is an exception here and I'm writing this bad review about Spa Finder Inc. I signed up for an e- gift card to be sent and delivered by email within a few hours as stated on their web site. I received a "rejection" for my order because of an incorrect expiration date on my credit card. I called Customer Service and gave them the correct exp date. Rejected again. Reordered with correct exp date....rejected again. Ok, use a different credit card...rejected again. Call Customer Service for a reason. Ready for this......"it's the system that decides to process the credit card and allow you to purchase" THE SYSTEM?? NOT A HUMAN???? Ok, still ticked off but really wanted this gift card for a dear friend. So let Leigh (my husband) try and order the gift card with his email and different credit card. REJECTED!! Mind you, we keep zero balances on our cards. SPAFINDERS YOU SUCK! I don't understand why you have a customer service if they can't service a request. I think your service is a scam!. The C.S. Reps aren't very nice or knowledgeable. They have no answers other than blaming "the system". Take no responsibility for helping a customer who is trying to give you money for a simple gift certificate!! I had to cancel a birthday luncheon twice because the order would not be fulfilled. I was embarrassed by this as it was a milestone birthday gift. I will never use this service again and will gladly tell anyone and everyone how poor service is at this company.

Not many spas to choose from and many are low-end

I received a gift card for $100. I live in a very nice area of LA and saw only low-class or cheesy spas were contracted with SpaFinder. Most were several miles from my home and seemed "low-end" if you know what I mean. Some did not have reviews and/or had a home address which is creepy to me. I looked at the reviews on amazon and boy o boy you'll read some weird stuff about how unreliable spafinder spas are. Many spas try to bait and switch their services when they find out you have a gift card to spafinder. Seems like a scam to me-- that's my personal opinion.

I purchased a gift card online for a friends birthday. The confirmation wasn’t sent until I called customer service. Even then it was sent to junk. The email with the gift card was also sent to the recipients junk. I had to ask if she received it and it was only then when she was able to dig it out of her junk folder. I submitted an online customer service ticket. Never heard back. And then you email me asking for a rating? LOL
