Just had my smart meters fitted. The Engineer arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently and was friendly. On completion he explain everything to me.
No need to bother about changing suppliers for the next two years and it seemed a very good rate.
Great supplier.They are the best energy company I have used to date.They send me a statement every month without fail.They tell me well in advance when my fixed tariff is up and give me a choice of a new one.I find their price to be very good in comparison to other companies and have no complaints about their customer service.
Switching away from them has left a bad taste. Sent me a final bill which was all okay and they have refunded money by 26th June 5pm deadline they gave, for what it said on this. On same day as final bill even though in credit, too another £65 off my account, putting me overdrawn, emailed them same day 13th June, querying this as outwith opening hours. Website says they aim to respond within 1 hour of next opening time or max 5 working days. Well now 9 working days and no response. Attempted their chat a few days ago but after 90 minutes waiting in queue it kicked me out saying i had left chat, attempted to rejoin and it said chat was full. Tried to phone but they hung up on me. Filled in their online contact form but no response so far. Energy account still shows the oustanding balance after todays deadline for anything being refunded. I know my rights, that if they don't refund this by tomorrow, which is 10 working days after final bill, they owe me £40 compensation as per Citizens Advice and it's £40 for every 10 working days after this.

Sorted out very efficiently am pleased to be sorted for another year. Agent was very polite and knowledgeable. Only downside is the number they are using to ring comes up on my phone as suspected spam. I have cut you of 3times.
A recent improvement in customer service thank's in part to the help of the Ombudsman in resolving a number of issues.
It took a reasonable time to get through to an agent who was helpful, dealing with my question.

Tariffs are ever so confusing, I compared So Energy with other providers, rates are similar so I renewed. However, when I proceeded with the actual quote, So Energy took into consideration the credit on my account and that figure reduced my monthly cost by £20. I also looked at my most recent statement which shows high gas usage in June, does not make sense!
I received an email suggesting I should fix. When I clicked on the link it just took me to my account. There I could not find any details of the proposed tariffs. After several goes over several days I found the tariffs but I could see no way to accept. I decided to phone. As part of my security I wad asked for the amount of my direct debit. As I pay the amount outstanding at month end I do not have a regular figure. At last I ffound a human. He told me that under your new system you cannot fix online and also that the fix offer is for customers using both your gas and electricity. None of this is on your website, which is a nightmare to use. I was within an ace of switching from SoEnergy not to you. I have just tried to scroll this message up to check my spelling etc but thst seems to be impossible. Do you not ever use your own system to check they work? The title below has just appeared and I cannot get rid of it. Ithas 27 characters but is rejected because at least 4 are required!

I’m very disappointed with SO Energy. You are demanding an exit fee I was never informed about, which is completely unfair. Your customer service is very bad — no proper help, only stress. I am under medical treatment, and your actions are seriously affecting my mental peace and damaging my credit.
