After renewal a new EV tariff became available which would have been more suitable. Despite an email to myself saying on exit fees in taking this when I asked to transfer to this I was denied the move.

After renewal a new EV tariff became available which would have been more suitable. Despite an email to myself saying on exit fees in taking this when I asked to transfer to this I was denied the move.
At switching over from another company they took over £720 when the agreed amount via go compare was £369. Finally got that sorted and was hopeful for a better experience going forward. No such luck. Put in meter readings and they said it was wrong date so couldn't be used for bill and the bill was an estimate, so I waited till got an email saying time for your meter readings and took the readings and entered them on website. I also sent photos of the readings via email and they have now generated my new bill but Still with estimated readings. Not a happy customer.
It’s been so, so easy to deal with SO Energy. They take automatic regular monthly readings through our smart meter. Also, having solar panels, we build up credit during the warmer months to help pay more in the colder months. Our previous supplier UW was a con & I had to get the ombudsman to sort them out!

The major problem is that I had to search for a contact telephone number it doesn’t seem to appear on any of your communications,that said once I managed to have a one on one conversation your representative was clear and concise and professional so for that thank you.
It was quite simple to renew my tariff, details on different ones explained well! and which suited my needs the best ….. simple & easy
We didn't have a good start with SO Energy about 3 years ago but I think the service as improved. I particularly like the fact that they offer me some options when my tarif is about to end. Also, if my consumption is lower than forecasted, SO Energy contacts me to reduce my monthly payment. So far I am happy and will continue with them.
So energy is reliable professional and helpful they also do great rates for gas and electric 👍👍👍

so is a rubbish company, their communication between each section collections, and customer service is none existent- one might make an arrangement with you , but collections wont know about it so they send constant threatening emails to you . i took them once already to the ombudsman when i tried to set up regular payments ( although their gas prices are scandalously high also ) i started paying them regularly and it was scuppa'd by their collections and speaking to a rude collections agent who actually sabotaged the regular payments at the level i was paying them, which resulted in costs going even higher , and owing a lot more money than i needed to, None of their agents can really help you , they are just switchboard and computer jockeys i wn the ombudsman case the frst time round and i have already put in two more complaints cbout their handling of my payments and both will go back to the ombudsman becuase i already know so will do nothing to support my complaint DO NOT USE THEM AND CAN SOMEONE TAKE THM TO COURT PLEASE AND GET THEM OUT OF THE BUSINESS
