Extra Direct Debit after Final Bill
Switching away from them has left a bad taste. Sent me a final bill which was all okay and they have refunded money by 26th June 5pm deadline they gave, for what it said on this. On same day as final bill even though in credit, too another £65 off my account, putting me overdrawn, emailed them same day 13th June, querying this as outwith opening hours. Website says they aim to respond within 1 hour of next opening time or max 5 working days. Well now 9 working days and no response. Attempted their chat a few days ago but after 90 minutes waiting in queue it kicked me out saying i had left chat, attempted to rejoin and it said chat was full. Tried to phone but they hung up on me. Filled in their online contact form but no response so far. Energy account still shows the oustanding balance after todays deadline for anything being refunded. I know my rights, that if they don't refund this by tomorrow, which is 10 working days after final bill, they owe me £40 compensation as per Citizens Advice and it's £40 for every 10 working days after this.
