Unreturned Deposit

Still waiting for a $500 deposit to be returned nearly a week after returning the vehicle. Routes claims it released my deposit and the delay is with the bank. This is false. Credits to Apple Pay accounts show up instantaneously.

booked the car online and when I got there they didn't give me a car.. people there don't know how to work,,and very rute..I called them two time and I still did not receive a refund.. I don't recommend.. you going to luz money if you rent car there .. very bad company

caution non remboursée

Nous avons loué une voiture lors de notre séjour à Montreal. Au début, tout s'est bien déroulé, nous avons bien récupéré la voiture et elle correspondait à nos attentes. Nous avons du payer une caution lors de la récupération de la voiture, mais cela nous a semblé normal malgré un débitement immédiat de cette dernière. A la fin de la location, nous avons rendu la voiture en temps et en heure et le personnel nous assuré que tout était en ordre. Nous attendions donc le remboursement de la caution. Cela fait maintenant plus de deux mois que nous sommes sans nouvelle de la caution. Malgré de multiples relances de notre part, des mails et des appels téléphoniques, le service client est incapable de nous donner une réponse claire sur une date de remboursement. Nous avons le sentiment d'avoir été arnaqués et cela nous a engendré des frais supplémentaires conséquents et injustifiés. Nous vous déconseillons vivement cette agence de location, tant que pour sa malhonnêteté que pour son expérience client désastreuse

Disappointed

Normally love this company. Tried contacting them. And when I spoke to an agent she wasn’t very helpful or kind. I asked to speak to a manager and she said there was none . Finally had to push hard to even get her to transfer, which she did since she wouldn’t ask for manager to help me. I love Routes normally. Wish I had better experience

Service was so very very very bad. Very disappointing.

Service was so bad. We were unable to refund the reservation fee even if you did not use the car. We personally came to the shop and when we told them it's our first time, they did not assist us properly instead they told us to open their website and make the booking online. And no one explain us that when we do it online You can not get back your reservation fee anymore. When they are processing the hold fee which is 500 dollars my card became insufficient because I used the money for the reservation. I have no enough money to use for the hold. My friends card cannot be used even if they have because I am the one who has license and the booking was in my name, and they require to use the same card. But that was the only card I brought. So I told them that I just have to cancell then because I am short. So I ask them if they could just refund the reservation fee. They said they do not do that in their shop, so they gave me a number to call. I called their CS and ask them if I could refund my reservation fee. When they answered the phone, they told me that I cannot refund it, it is in their policy. So I lost my money but never use the car I lost my less than 75 dollars. They didn't want to refund it. It was our first time to rent in ROUTES. I have no idea that it was in their policy, we never had time to read the policy because they just let us sign up in their office. Atleast there should only be one telling us that what ever we pay for the reservation couldn't be refunded anymore if we can not make it or use the car. No, one. They got my money, I got nothing. I cannot even give them one Star. "ZERO STAR" for them.

I rented a car from Routes in San Juan

I rented a car from Routes in San Juan, PR in January for one week returning the car February 3, 2025. To date I have not received my deposit. Every time I call them I’m told something different but always told they will either call me or email me. To date they haven’t done this either. Bottom line, Routes charges hidden fees and doesn’t return deposits! Buyer BEWARE!!! Read all reviews about this company, all of us are saying the same frustrations.

Beware of Misleading Distance…

Beware of Misleading Distance Conversion Practices I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company due to their deceptive practices regarding distance conversion. They deliberately misrepresented miles as kilometers, which resulted in significant financial damage to me amounting to 400 CAD. This dishonest practice forced me to take legal action against them. Their unethical behavior regarding distance calculations appears to be a deliberate attempt to overcharge customers. I strongly advise potential customers to thoroughly verify all measurements and calculations before agreeing to any terms with this company. The financial cost and stress of having to pursue a lawsuit could have been avoided if they had operated with basic honesty and transparency. I cannot recommend a business that employs such misleading tactics to increase their profits at the expense of their customers.

Excellent Service and Rental Vehicle

This is the second time I rented a car with Routes and I was fortunate enough to get Omar again to help me. I rented a yellow Jeep Wrangler with Omar. The price and vehicle was excellent. Omar was very sincere in wanting to help me. He was also extremely personable, professional and attentive. Thank you Omar and thank you Routes for a wonderful experience and car rental. Highly recommended!!

Worst Rental Car experience in 20 years!

This company is the worst rental company I have ever dealt with. Hidden insurance fees (even though I have this specific rider on my insurance policy). I was basically screwed when I got there and had no choice to rent from them. Tried to call to UNFORTUNATELY have to extend my rental. Twice I sat on the phone for extended periods. Finallyhad to drive 20 miles to talk to someone. Legit worst company EVER!

If they are going to expect a certain…

If they are going to expect a certain amount for insurance, then it should be clearly posted on their website. There are so many hidden fees with this rental company - costumers beware. Also, their only method cancelling a rental is over the phone. Expect to wait over an hour to speak someone who won’t be very helpful at all.

Second time I’ve used routes for a car…

Second time I’ve used routes for a car rental both times they’ve been great Great prices Kalki The front desk is the best and obviously a master at running her station, helping people get into their cars There was a small mechanical issue with the first vehicle they gave me, but I brought it back and they had me in and out there in a new car in about two minutes Kalki Who gave me the car We had no idea what was going on with the Absolutely not her fault really took care of me and helped me out. She deserves a big raise and a promotion definitely will be using them again thanks.

Denver International Airport. Great attention to detail by my rep

Great attention to detail by my rep, Kalki. She made sure all my car needs and questions were taken care of in a timely manner. The new shuttle tracker is a nice touch too. Kalki was friendly and knowledgeable. Great rental price.
