It was just a lovely cruise

It was just a lovely cruise. There was everything we wanted and being very much older, plenty of time to relax if needed. The staff are amazing, respectful and welcoming. The Baltic cities are wonderful sights and the talks by Dave Wright were inspirational and riveting. We went to every one. Loved every minute

Britannia 10th anniverary cruise

Have recently returned from PO Britannia 10 anniversary cruise of the British Isles which we had been really looking forward to as it was visiting places we haven't been to before, although disappointed they cancelled our trip to Edinburgh. The cruise got off to a bad start for us it took nearly two hours from dropping our luggage off to actually get on to the ship (usually takes 20-30 mins) so was not happy it was exhausting and would have put of off if it was our first cruise. Luckily it all improved from then on and we had a fantastic and relaxing cruise. Food excellent and staff very friendly in particular Akrita and Stanley from the Meridan restaurant and Jenson our cabin steward. Britannia certainly pulled the stops out with the entertainment this cruise it was spectacular on deck and in theatre, you had to queue early to get a seat in theatre even though they did 3 shows a night it was full half an hour before show started. We did three shore excursions with PO and all where very good with knowledgeable guides on the coaches and the shuttle bus in other places was well organised. Sort the boarding out and back too 5 stars next time.

Consistently poor customer service and…

Consistently poor customer service and inflexible systems We’ve cruised with P&O before and had issues previously that still haven’t been addressed, and now we're already having problems before our next trip has even started. On a past cruise, we booked a spa package in advance—but unlike direct bookings, you aren’t allowed to choose your massage times until you’re on board. It meant no control over your schedule and limited availability by the time you got there. Completely inflexible and unfair, and giving priority to those who don't book a package. The staff weren’t interested in helping at all. It’s a poor setup and badly thought through. Now, for our upcoming trip, we booked as a party of 20 over a year ago. We told them clearly: 18 are travelling by coach, 2 will drive down the day before. We asked for our boarding times to be aligned and were told this was fine. But after check-in, we’re now 2 hours apart. I’m one of the two arriving early, so I’ll be standing around while the rest arrive later. Rang customer service—waited over an hour—only to be asked about my marketing preferences. Useless. It’s clear that P&O care more about internal processes than customer experience. They need to do much better.

Just came back from another cruise on…Ventura

Just came back from another cruise on P&O to Amsterdam. Found this cruise the worst ! So overcrowded, no place to sit, people were sitting / lying on top deck as nowhere to sit, people 'bagging' sunbeds and saving them for others. Staff didn't walk around looking for drink orders this cruise with their ipads, had to go to bar, not a problem, but then my chair was 'nicked' Ate some 'bad' food on last day, not good !! Tried to enquire about another cruise but 'Sylvia' so rude ! Walked away, didn't book ! Amsterdam beautiful, been on P&O before, they were good, so not totally put off and will book another cruise one day.

Wow wow wow

Just returned from our first and truly sensational 14 night cruise onboard the P&O Britannia to the Northern Cities. From the moment we arrived at the port, the welcome stood out and carried on until the moment we disembarked. The staff do an incredible job and are so helpful and accommodating. Considering there are so many holidaymakers on board, the staff make it look easy. Food top notch, and drinks decent prices, and some great wine packages available. Booked next one to Iceland in 2027 so time to get saving up. Thank you P&O

P&O Brittania Baltic Cruise

My family and I returned yesterday from our Scandinavian Northern Europe Baltic Cruise 4-18 July 2025, enjoying 3 separate cabin's. Two Inside's and one Balcony, all Midships deck 9. Overall it was an incredible experience with an amazing itinerary. The Port of call's bar Kiel, were all so memorable. The crew work tremendously hard and we really appreciate their splendid efforts. We'd sailed on Brittania previously and knew what to expect in terms of standards etc. We've also booked on board for yet another Brittania Cruise, as we enjoyed ourselves so much again. The entertainment overall was good. But the Atrium entertainment in particular could really do with more of it. There were a lot of times when it was just too silent (flat atmosphere for long periods), with lots of people sat about on the various deck levels crying out for 'something'. The piano players in their half hour stints play very well on the wonderful piano. But Norbert in particular, as talented as he is; could do with providing something a little more 'foot tapping' or at least play some recognisable tunes. Bland old style tickling of the ivories (piano noise I call it) does not inspire bar purchases. Consistently our group remarked, we wished the Atrium entertainment could be improved and last somewhat longer. Minor criticism of yet again, an amazing cruise experience. The positive's far outweigh any negatives. But worthy of mention is the irritating whistle type noise that could be heard constantly outside on our Port side Balcony (someone else has mentioned it on this platform). Not heard it before on a previous cruise on the same deck Midships. Also a lot of the ship's cabin toilets wouldn't flush for a couple of hours on one occasion early on in the cruise. But once fixed they didn't fail again. Perhaps it was idiots flushing things that shouldn't be flushed. But no explanation was formally given apart from...."They're working again" announced with some relief over the tannoy system at dinner. All in all well done P&O, Brittania and most of all the crew for making our cruise a memorable one. There's always good and bad regarding any subject or experience. But the good here far far outweigh any negative aspects. So much so, we can't wait for our next cruise on Brittania. Something we are very much looking forward to. Ps. Venson, our Cabin Steward deserves a special mention. A really nice man who looked after us and our cabin exceptionally well. Thank you Venson you're a star! A credit to both P&O and Brittania.

Good cruise but ship overcrowded

Our Baltic cruise on Britannia was good. Really enjoyed all the ports we visited. Our cabin was great as was the housekeeping. Like other reviewers our main issue was with over crowding. There was not enough space for everyone to enjoy a drink after dinner, and queues for dinner were long for Freedom dining. We ended up paying for fine dining just so that we could eat at a reasonable time. The buffet restaurant was too small for the number of guests. Finding a table was nigh on impossible even for a late lunch (after 2pm). Theatre events were full even when we arrived 15 minutes early. We will go for smaller ships in future.

Excellent Iceland Cruise

Excellent food quality and selection, and entertainment too. P & O Cruises have outstanding service. Our luxury balcony cabin was very comfortable with a queen size bed and the best pillows. Plenty to do onboard ship. They took us to places with breathtaking scenery. Would use P & O Cruises again and strongly recommend them.

Uncaring P&O Cruises

After booking and paying for a cruise a year in advance through an cruise agent. We (my friend, I and partners) arrived at the cruise terminal at Southampton only to find that we were to late to board the ship. After leaving with plenty of time, we had the journey from hell most of our time spent in horrible traffic, with queues, roadworks and delays. Panic sets in and we call the number on the boarding card, as it says to do so if you are going to be late, only to be told, that due to a high volume of calls right now, please try later and the line go's dead. Then to spend over an hour on a bookings line number, to be left in a queue, never to be answered. Once at the dock gates, the very pleasant guy on the gate said you might be lucky the ship is running late and called through on his radio, only to be told that we can't board. We asked if we could try in the terminal but when we got there we were turned away by the handlers. So we sat for over an hour staring at the ship while calling our agents and P&O. Then finally the ship set sail at 5 oclock, over one hour after we arrived on the dock. Our fault you cry! Which I can understand but what I don't agree with is the fact that the company P&O cruises did not care they just did nothing, totally nothing apart from keep our money, which they had, well over a year in advance, plus extra to upgrade our rooms and extra for the select fare. To add insult to injury the day after we were due to come back we received an email to say how did we do! Where was the email to find out why or What happened to us when we had not arrived. We have cruised with P&O meny times in the past but now will not cruise with them again. It was a nightmare experience buyer beware!!
