P&O Brittania Baltic Cruise

My family and I returned yesterday from our Scandinavian Northern Europe Baltic Cruise 4-18 July 2025, enjoying 3 separate cabin's. Two Inside's and one Balcony, all Midships deck 9. Overall it was an incredible experience with an amazing itinerary. The Port of call's bar Kiel, were all so memorable. The crew work tremendously hard and we really appreciate their splendid efforts. We'd sailed on Brittania previously and knew what to expect in terms of standards etc. We've also booked on board for yet another Brittania Cruise, as we enjoyed ourselves so much again. The entertainment overall was good. But the Atrium entertainment in particular could really do with more of it. There were a lot of times when it was just too silent (flat atmosphere for long periods), with lots of people sat about on the various deck levels crying out for 'something'. The piano players in their half hour stints play very well on the wonderful piano. But Norbert in particular, as talented as he is; could do with providing something a little more 'foot tapping' or at least play some recognisable tunes. Bland old style tickling of the ivories (piano noise I call it) does not inspire bar purchases. Consistently our group remarked, we wished the Atrium entertainment could be improved and last somewhat longer. Minor criticism of yet again, an amazing cruise experience. The positive's far outweigh any negatives. But worthy of mention is the irritating whistle type noise that could be heard constantly outside on our Port side Balcony (someone else has mentioned it on this platform). Not heard it before on a previous cruise on the same deck Midships. Also a lot of the ship's cabin toilets wouldn't flush for a couple of hours on one occasion early on in the cruise. But once fixed they didn't fail again. Perhaps it was idiots flushing things that shouldn't be flushed. But no explanation was formally given apart from...."They're working again" announced with some relief over the tannoy system at dinner. All in all well done P&O, Brittania and most of all the crew for making our cruise a memorable one. There's always good and bad regarding any subject or experience. But the good here far far outweigh any negative aspects. So much so, we can't wait for our next cruise on Brittania. Something we are very much looking forward to. Ps. Venson, our Cabin Steward deserves a special mention. A really nice man who looked after us and our cabin exceptionally well. Thank you Venson you're a star! A credit to both P&O and Brittania.
