It was just a lovely cruise

It was just a lovely cruise. There was everything we wanted and being very much older, plenty of time to relax if needed. The staff are amazing, respectful and welcoming. The Baltic cities are wonderful sights and the talks by Dave Wright were inspirational and riveting. We went to every one. Loved every minute

Britannia 10th anniverary cruise

Have recently returned from PO Britannia 10 anniversary cruise of the British Isles which we had been really looking forward to as it was visiting places we haven't been to before, although disappointed they cancelled our trip to Edinburgh. The cruise got off to a bad start for us it took nearly two hours from dropping our luggage off to actually get on to the ship (usually takes 20-30 mins) so was not happy it was exhausting and would have put of off if it was our first cruise. Luckily it all improved from then on and we had a fantastic and relaxing cruise. Food excellent and staff very friendly in particular Akrita and Stanley from the Meridan restaurant and Jenson our cabin steward. Britannia certainly pulled the stops out with the entertainment this cruise it was spectacular on deck and in theatre, you had to queue early to get a seat in theatre even though they did 3 shows a night it was full half an hour before show started. We did three shore excursions with PO and all where very good with knowledgeable guides on the coaches and the shuttle bus in other places was well organised. Sort the boarding out and back too 5 stars next time.

Just back from 14 day in the Baltic…

Just back from 14 day in the Baltic sea. Excellent destinations apart from Kiel - don't know why this port town is included as there is very little to see and do, whereas Tallin, Helsinki, Visby, Stockholm and Copenhagen were just awesome and inspiring. Can't fault the staff, nor the food. Was annoyed that as Britannia has the best ballroom venue is the Crystal room, they were limited to 45 mins each session, even when the venue was not being used after. The entertainment team very clearly did not rate this activity as high as they valued such base activities as Karaoke and game shows, alienating a large portion of the passengers. Speakers and guest acts were amazing, Mr Tickerton's Clockwork Circus, Vocal Extreme and Rachel Haunt as Cher and Divination were absolutely brilliant. There was very little sunbed hogging, or reserving seats and chairs which was refreshing. Smoking was limited to deck 7 mid starboard and aft, but when these were both shut was relocated to port side deck 16 sunset bar. This was a far better place for smokers who would have to use the lifts to go down from 16 to 7 every time. Why cant deck 16 port side sunset bar be kept as a smoking area as it once was? Departure day was manic but that was down to people wishing to disembark by them selves but then waiting till peak time to carry 3 or 4 cases down in the lifts blocking others at 8am onwards. Those with mobility issues were also subject to other rude passengers jumping in the lifts ahead of them. Why can't one of these lifts fore, mid and aft be staffed by P&O to ensure they were given priority? A final point was that there was a continuous high pitched sound from the ships engine on both sides which meant any one on decks G-E were subject to this noise when trying to enjoy the balcony,

Baltic with Britannia

First time on Britannia, last year was with Arvia, which for me didn't compare. Loved Britannia's traditional approach, loved the dress code in the mdr. Staff were amazing everywhere. Food was lovely. Never had a problem finding somewhere to sit and relax. Enjoyed the evening quizzes in brodies. Sindhu bar was our go to in the evening. Cabins are smaller than some but adequate. Spotless housekeeping all necessitaties provided. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. The ports were amazing (not keen on Kiel) but that's just me. I half expected Dracula to come sweeping down in Tallienn, Helsinki, Stockholm and particularly Copenhagen are amazing cities. Never heard of Visby before now, but it's lovely. Thank you P And O, for me. You've got it right.

Just come back from our first cruise

Just come back from our first cruise, so glad we chose the Baltic, great destinations. The ship was lovely too, great food fun entertainment and very relaxing, we enjoyed joining in the choir and the creative waves activities. And what made it so special for us was how they looked after my coeliac husband and his gluten free diet so well.

Just back from two weeks on board Britannia….

Just back from two weeks on board Britannia. Travelled with my husband, 20 year old daughter and 17 year old son. Only regret is thinking we could share one cabin - as it was our first cruise I didn’t know any better and it was offered as an option when I put our group numbers into the website. Our balcony cabin had two single beds and two ‘Pullman’ beds that came down from the ceiling that essentially gave us bunk beds. My 17 year old son is 6’3”!!! We were all on top of each other (literally) all the time and would not recommend sharing a cabin for 4 unless you have small children. Other than that, our experience was amazing - did the Northern Europe ans Scandinavia trip. Loved Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Visby. Kiel wasn’t great 🫤. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and had glorious sun throughout (4-18July). Speciality dining was great in the Beach House and Glass House and Sindhu. Breakfast at the Oriental was great with good service. We tried to avoid the buffet as it was always so busy, but kids were happy to pop in while we were round the pool on sea days. Amazing staff from welcome at the port - bag drop off is great - on board staff everywhere were lovely and so many of them. Getting off was heartbreaking but made easier by the excellent organisation moving our bags from our room to the port side for us. I would cruise again - not straight away as I like to change things up - but will definitely have another go one day!! Thanks P&O

First cruise

We have just returned from our first cruise. We were on Azura, cruising around the Greek Island, Italy and Scicily. We chose this ship as we felt it wasn’t too big a ship and it went to destinations we wanted to go to. We loved waking up everyday in a new destination. We got up and explored places before it got too hot and then returned to the pool area. We chose freedom dining as it meant we weren’t restricted to when we ate and using the app meant we could roughly time our bookings for when we wanted them. We were able to get a table for two at every meal. The evening entertainment was okay, some places were better than others but there was always something to suit everyone. From booking the cruise, to checking in at the airport, arriving in Malta to disembarking - everything was so easy and stress free. We now can’t wait to book another cruise.
