If I could give zero stars, trust me, I would this car company is probably one of the worst companies in America comes to service. They have no etiquette when it comes to business and taking care of customers they lie and try to blame customers for their deficiency, I rented the car to show up at the place just for the card not to be available in the associate. Try to blame me because I was late even though I was at the location before closed I called customer service to come to find out that she had lied to 24 hours to pick up your car not supposed to find a car and I’ll just tell you sorry you’re on a clock. That’s what this associate did then proceeded to call customer service And get an explanation why I did not have a car come to find out they did not have cars at that location for the entire day and the associate lied to me at the station they escalated my case to supposedly a regional manager to help me out and I never received a single call from any manager or any person Place companies like this eventually go out of business because they forget the customers are really what they fix their competency in terms of dealing with the public. I’ve only had one other customer service interaction that was worse than this, and that was with American Airlines where they lie to their customers to cover their ass like national car rental buyer beware looking through your history. It looks like they do not give a shit about their customers.

I placed an online booking through our corporate account on Thursday, 10th July. To my disappointment, I didn’t receive any communication until Saturday morning—only to be told that the vehicle I booked wasn’t available. This last-minute notice was frustrating enough, but what followed was completely unacceptable. The staff member who contacted me, claiming to be the manager, was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the call. She spoke over me repeatedly, wouldn’t allow me to explain my situation, and her tone was downright abusive. As a regular customer who has rented from various Enterprise branches for years, I was shocked by this behaviour. If this is the standard of customer service from someone in a managerial position, it raises serious questions about the training and leadership at this branch. A manager should be setting the tone for professionalism—not contributing to a toxic experience. Needless to say, I will be avoiding this branch in future. I highly recommend others do the same until clear improvements are made in customer service and communication.

Arnaque véhicule loué à Édimbourg pour…

Arnaque ,véhicule loué à Édimbourg pour 5 jours. Aucun souci pendant le séjour ni restitution (clés déposée dans une boîte aux lettres). Et , 15 jours après notre retour, on nous réclame 500£ pour une 1/2 coque de clé manquante. Clé qui nous a été remise en main propre dans cet état, 1/2 coque manquante et scotchée, mais que nous n’avions pas malheureusement pas signalé. Cela ne gênait pas le fonctionnement du véhicule et le loueur ne pouvait pas l’ignorer car la clé avait était “temporairement” réparée par ses soins avant nous l’être confiée. Désormais, ils nous signalent que le véhicule a été immobilisé pendant 5 jours à cause de cette 1/2 coque manquante et appliquent des frais de dossier et de réparation exorbitants. C’est notre bonne foi contre celle du loueur. Nous sommes loin, difficile de s’expliquer et la restitution s’est faite dans une boîte aux lettres. Nous sommes piégés par un système qui défend le loueur mais pas le locataire, avec des mises en demeure inadmissible pour une 1/2 coque de clé en plastique comme si nous étions des délinquants. Aucune possibilité de discuter sauf peut être maintenant en portant plainte pour abus avec notre assistance juridique. Donc il est indispensable de noter tout défaut même minime lors de la réception d’un véhicule. Les assurances des CB ne prennent pas en charge les dommages aux clés. Donc aucun recours possible. Encore un exemple des arnaques rencontrées avec des agences de location de véhicules.

Beware National Roadside Assistance. Pay for the roadside when you rent

The branch employees themselves, outstanding. National's Roadside assistance is awful. The big slogan is your safety is our priority yet they made me put a donut on the rental jacking up my back and having me drive through East Saint Louis on Hwy 70 going 40 mph with the hazard lights on. No one in E St Louis cares if you have an issue. Better get out of the way. Probably the most harrowing experience of my life. One of the 5 people I spoke to in Roadside even hung up on me because I told him I was not pulling over on that hwy and calling the police.

Undriveable vehicle

Needed a truck to tow a trailer with horses. I phoned national and asked if they had a ford ranger or similar they had a Toyota hilux which would have been fine. I booked it for a week. What was delivered was a 10 year old Mitsubishi l200 that looked like it had been in a banger race. I accepted it as I had to get a horse to a vet the next morning. When driving it the engine speed kept varying with no relation to road speed, I used it to do my vet trip but as the engine problems were getting worse did not use it again. I also noticed the day after that one of the tyres was illegal , completely bald on outer rim for way more than 1/3 of the width. I emailed them informing them of the problems and telling them that they could pick it up as it was not driveable. They said that they would get it back to garage and let me know of outcome. When they finally did pick it up there was a huge oil slick over my driveway. I emailed them again informing them of oil leak and they said they would get back to me. I left it a week for them to inspect vehicle, then asked for a partial refund to cover the days that I was unable to use it. They have not replied. £780 for a weeks rental was expensive but £780 for a car that I was only able to use once and had to pay to get drive cleaned is abysmal.

Don't book

The gentleman on the booking desk is so miserable and hates his job should leave or just sack him. I booked a BMW X3 and got a tiny Mercedes, which is ok to go shopping around town, NOT for a road trip, the seats are so uncomfortable hard and non breathable, this is the first time that I have been down graded SO I will not be using National car rental again such bad service.

A la suite d'une location de voiture à l'aéroport de Montpellier, j'ai été facturée deux fois pour la même location !!! Après avoir joint le service client plusieurs fois depuis un mois, et alors que l'erreur de facturation est reconnue, je ne suis toujours pas remboursée !! National Rent a Car = voleurs !!! Inadmissible !!!

A total scam and unhonest company

A total scam and unhonest company! Returning a car at Allicante airport today. When returning the car they claim that a protection mat was missig! I know it was never there to begin with! They also identified a microscopic scratch on the side og the door. Im sure was there before I got the car but they did not believe me. Total extra charge 1500 EUR !!!! Will never use this company again!

Be ALERT

Be ALERT - Nashville International Airport. My property was not lost rather STOLEN by a National employee whom asked if he could help put my luggage into the car. He pulled the cart to right side of the vehicle while I was on the left. I assumed everything was inside when I left from choosing the vehicle. When I could not locate my Blue TUMI crossbody that contained SONY headphones and other accessories; we returned to he airport within the hour. No one would help me bring that associate forward. Called the location directly several times though when I mentioned the word STOLEN the calls were disconnected.

Contrat de location 4Y4H23 MUTHS Georges

Voiture loué à Orly pour restition à Strasbourg . L'adresse de restitution du véhicule à Strasbourg ne figurait ni sur le document de réservation , ni sur le contrat de location que j'ai signé , ni sur le mail reçu à 9h19. Il y avait sur ces documents uniquement l'adresse de l'agence que ni le GPS de la voiture louée, ni waze n'ont trouvés !!! J'ai perdu ainsi 1/2 h à tourner en rond autour de la gare de Strasbourg. Et impossible de joindre l'agence au 0388236076 : renvoi de service en service! Mon Fils, à pied, a finalement trouvé "par hasard" l'endroit de restitution et a prévenu de mon arrivée imminente, le 5 juillet à 18h50, l'agente qui était au 5ème étage du parking où il fallait restituer le véhicule. Elle a promis de m'attendre. Le temps de faire demi-tour + feux + bouchons, je suis rentré au parking à 19h02. Arrivé au 5ème étage, l'agente était partie ! J'ai garé le véhicule à 19h05 sur l'emplacement même où se trouve le "mini bureau" des agents de votre agence. Il m'était impossible de voir votre mail de 18h40 indiquant enfin l'adresse exacte de restitution et où déposer la clé en cas d'arrivée après 19h00. J'étais à ce moment garé en face de la gare à chercher justement cet endroit et n'ai bien sûr pas pu voir ce mail avec l'adresse, ni l'endroit où déposer la clé. J'ai donc emmené la clé et suis revenu (45 km !) samedi 6 juillet à 8h50 attendre l'agent au parking pour la remise de la clé. Dès son arrivée, (9h00) il a procédé aux vérifications et m'a assuré de la restitution de la caution de 250 €. Quelle ne fut pas ma surprise de constater l'après-midi dans un mail, qu'on m'a facturé 2 journées et que j'aurais restitué le véhicule le 6 juillet à 11:35 ce qui est faux ! Je veux croire que c'est une erreur et que vous allez me rembourser le trop payé de 209.29 € pour une facturation d'une 2ème journée, la voiture étant bel et bien restituée le 5 juillet à 19h05 et les clés, par manque d'information à temps de votre part, le 06 juillet à 9h00, heure d'ouverture de votre agence et d'arrivée de votre agent. Je veux faire confiance en votre bonne foi pour rectifier la situation compte tenu du fait que le contrat de location que j'ai signé n'indique pas l'adresse de restitution du véhicule. Je vous en remercie et vous prie de recevoir mes cordiales salutations PS ne serait-ce pas légal de trouver l'adresse de restitution du véhicule sur le contrat de location, seul papier contractuel qui est signé ?

Comment arriver en retard? En ne communiquant pas l'adresse de restitution

Une mauvaise adresse de restitution a été donnée à Strasbourg, suite à cela 200 euros ont été facturés pour un retard de 2 min, alors que l'agent que nous avons pu voir 15 minutes avant le retour prévu de la voiture nous a dit qu'elle attendrait. Sauf qu'elle était prête à partir ...La voiture a été déposée, mais nous sommes revenus le lendemain pour les clés en main propre (ils avaient omis de dire qu'il y avait une boîte à clé). Des informations mensongères ont carrément été données (restitution le lendemain à 11h30), alors que les clés ont été rendues dès l'ouverture de l'agence. Il est vrai aussi que Madame avait rassemblé ses affaires et était prête à partir 10 minutes avant la fin de son service.

Arnaque bien organisée à CDG où même si la mention ne figure pas sur votre voutcher on ne vous remettra pas de véhicule sans justifier d'un billet d'avion. Aucun remboursement et le personnel pratique cette magouille chaque fois que possible. Aucun responsable n'est joignable bien sûr.

This has been an UNREASONABLY stressful…

This has been an UNREASONABLY stressful experience with National Rental cars. Response times for their escalation team are TERRIBLE I was left waiting for a solution for one of their locations not having any available cars even though I am an ELITE member, I was not treated like so today! I am completely disappointed and confused with the lack of communication and solutions National has provided me today.
