Lyca failed to send me the QR code that…

Lyca failed to send me the QR code that I need to set up the eSIM on my phone. Nevertheless they claim the "plan activation" was successful. It was not successful for me. I have not received a usable eSIM.

SIM SWAP I ordered an ESIM little did I know I have to have a physical SIM

UPDATE 7/18/2025: after writing the previous review Lyca Mobile customer service did contact me. They offered me a refund for eSIM and informed me that I would have to purchase a physical SIM. They told me what I needed to do for a full refund. I did exactly as they asked and once again I have not heard anything. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I decided to buy the esim card for like $12.86 which includes unlimited talk, text and data. I assumed the esim would work in my phone but it is not compatible. Shame on me for not checking first. This does not excuse Lyca customer service from blowing me off completely. I have called the number several times both times I finally got through I was hung up on. LIA the chat bot can't help me so it pushes me through to wait on agent who never answers. Oh and it states I can email them too only to be ignored once again. So I sit here day #4 with no solution. Not even an almost solution. I guess what I'm saying is their customer service sucks and they are making me feel like I'm not even a customer of theirs.

Refund Not Processed Over a Year! - Still Pending

Hi Lyca Team, Reference: 103177414 Email Communication ticket id: 106374396 It's been a year since my refund was approved, and I'm still waiting for it. I've consistently followed up with your team via numerous calls and emails. But NO LUCK!!! Firstly, I want to reiterate with absolute clarity that I have yet to receive the physical mobile SIM card that was intended for activation and subsequent use. This non-delivery has prevented me from utilizing the services I anticipated. Secondly, regarding the refund that should have been initiated, I am deeply concerned about the lack of transparency and progress. As I have explicitly mentioned previously, if your internal backend team is unable to locate any record of the refund details, the logical conclusion is that the refund process has not yet been initiated on your end. Furthermore, I have proactively engaged with my bank, Chase, on multiple occasions to ascertain whether any refund amount has been credited to my account. After thorough investigation of my transaction history, Chase Bank has unequivocally confirmed that no such refund has been received. This independent verification further supports my assertion that the refund has not been successfully processed. Therefore, I implore you to immediately escalate this matter to your backend team. I require a definitive confirmation as to whether the refund has been officially processed or not. If the refund has indeed been processed, I demand concrete and verifiable proof of this transaction. This evidence must include, but not be limited to, the transaction reference number, the exact date and time of processing, and the method used for the refund. Without the provision of such irrefutable documentation demonstrating the successful completion of the refund, I will not accept any assertion that the refund has been finalized. At this point, I am extremely perplexed and frustrated by the ambiguity surrounding the status of my refund. I urgently request a comprehensive explanation regarding the whereabouts of this amount. I expect a prompt and detailed response outlining the steps being taken to resolve most importantly, the immediate investigation and provision of proof regarding my refund. I need an immediate update regarding the amount of my refund??? More importantly, it's completely unacceptable to treat customers this way by making them to wait a year for a refund!

Don’t trust

Lyca offered free one month service. Instead of giving one month they have charged extra. More importantly the way they have charged. Haven’t come across this sort of customer service.

I have tried with 6 different credit…

I have tried with 6 different credit cards and 1 debit card from different banks, however the transtactions did not go through, I have spent my whole day trying to recharge my phone number. My bro has also tried to get his recharge and it is happening the same. So my last try I have decided to top up with Western Union because they have that service with Ding, However, Western Union is telling me that Lyca Mobile has issues in general with the payments and that is the main reason why the transactions are not going through and besides that Western Union will try every 15 minutes to top up my phone number.

I paid for a plan and did not select…

I paid for a plan and did not select the auto-renewal option; however, I was still charged. I reached out to customer service for assistance, but the representative was unresponsive. When I continued to ask for help, I received a message stating, "This is your first warning, as I have repeatedly asked for the last top-up date and the exact amount paid." However, I never received any prior messages requesting those details. Their behavior is very unprofessional!

I purchased a SIM card from LYCA Mobile…

I purchased a SIM card from LYCA Mobile in February for my dad, who came from overseas to visit me. The deal was for six months at $12.50 per month. However, after using the service for only three months, they charged me $51.45 for the next month, breaking the original deal. When I contacted them to cancel and request a refund, they refused, even though the service was not used for the full month. This has been a very frustrating experience, and I feel misled by their pricing. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.

someone stole my number within just one day, and I have spent an entire month attempting to recover it without success.and Lycamobile continues to request the same proof I’ve provided already ,It is disheartening to encounter further complications during this process. I am considering consulting with my attorney to explore potential actions that can be taken on my behalf.

Lycamobile cheated me out of c.$160

Lycamobile cheated me out of c.$160 - I paid for a six month plan which was never delivered. I paid using paypal and on a bank card each of which should have offered additional protections, but they were also both simply a waste of time. It seems cheating is endemic in society. My conclusion: Saving money by using lycamobile is a false economy if / when they cheat you.
