Not certain why the one star reviews

Not certain why the one star reviews; my experience has been nothing but pleasant, phone call are always answered, never have I been billed erroneously, my provider seems caring and competent, all decisions are mine to accept or reject, and medication is presented as a component of my care, not an absolute necessity, per se. Today I would rate this as my best experience, and I've been through multiple providers and medications trying to find a workable solution. I'm sticking with LifeStance as I, for once, feel as though they are providing a way forward for me.

No one Answers Phones, Incompetent, and Uncaring

The only psychiatrist I could find is only a Nurse Practitioner and she JUST graduated 2 months prior to my first visit. She's been rather dismissive, and isn't very knowledgable. Additionally, I tried to update my insurance FIVE times and held on line up to 60 mins each call with NOBODY answering. Additionally, I wrote 2 messages thru the portal (providing ins info) and those were ignored. The few times I've spoken with CSRs in the past, they were disengaged and sounded like I'd woken them from a nap, haven't known answers to my questions, and twice hung up on me. Meanwhile I keep receiving their $240 bill that hasn't gone thru insurance and will likely end up in Collections if they don't get their s*** together. I have excellent credit so if that happens, my attorney will indeed get ahold of them. Lifestance has been a nightmare and have only added to my anxiety, not helped it. It's ludicrous that they portray themselves as a service to help people. All I want to do is update my ins info and PAY my bill. If this is the future of mental healthcare, I'm extremely concerned. When I have time, I will reply to Lifestance's message below.

Horrible customer service, no one cares

Horrible customer service, apathy, instability. 30 minute hold times, then you get disconnected and agent doesn't even have the decensy to call you back. Doctors disappear overnight and they leave patients scrambling to find a new Dr. while their prescriptions run out. Awful people who don't care.

No reviews for their providers?!

No reviews for their providers. I asked why and was told they can tell me about the Dr/Nurse. That means nothing when looking for a therapist. I want to know what other patients have experienced good and bad. I was told I can google them! I felt like I was dealing with a salesperson, selling a service! Will NOT use them.

Dr did not show nor did they cancel - awful experience!

I waited several months to see Dr. Dillinger and Life stance confirmed the appointment with me at least three times. I waited in the virtual waiting room for the doctor 20 minutes where the message said “one person ahead of you “. Indicating the Dr was running late. When I tried calling in concerned I’d be late getting back to work - it took an excessive amount of time to reach a human and I was informed that the Dr. called out sick. They acknowledged that at no time did anybody attempt to reach me. The manager June told me it would be several weeks before I could schedule with that Dr. again, and as I had to get back to work after losing an hour of my day and income - she assured me that she would research similar clinicians and get back to me. That never happened. Another employee reached out to reschedule me another day but did not have the information June assured me. I left not one but two messages for June to call me back and she made no effort. Their phone systems are a mess, and customer service beyond disappointing. I can’t speak to the practitioners skills but I hope they see this business is not a good reflection on them or mental health whatsoever. The most recent person I spoke to on Friday was exceptionally rude and defensive. It is disheartening to think they work in a medical practice. I would provide zero stars if I could. And keep in mind if it is YOU that didn’t show or cancel in advance you would be billed.

Billing Department Issues

The therapist I have been working with is great, but unfortunately their billing department is not. They have started billing me for sessions without filing the claim with my insurance. Calling them does nothing since they never answer their phones.

Make sure you get a few drs to evaluate you, so they don't lie, just to take all your money and destroy your life!

Well, I was misdiagnosed as bipolar, im adhd, and instead of treating me with resp6, and believing me, they put me on antipsych meds, they ruined my life!! My family thinks that I should of been kept longer, cause they don't believe the neurologist who said I was adhd,. So they put me on zyprexa, and it is absolute poison, and now my family thinks I'm criminally insane, even though I never did a single thing wrong,. The so called drs discard what my neurologist said, and they put me on antipsych meds, I am still feeling the ill effects of the poison that these fake ass fraudulent drs prescribed,. And now I'm working on finding a dr to help with my chronic pain, cause it's causing me to not sleep, I can't do anything I used to, cause I'm in agonizing pain,. But the so called drs at this fraudulent health care facility don't care, they just push the meds Pfizer pays them to push!! I hope to get a lawyer and sue the pants off these pathetic liers!!!

WOW!!

My experience with LifeStance is repeated ad nauseum in the one-star reviews on this site. I have been charged on my credit card (ad nauseum) for co-pays that they have been informed I did not owe. They were informed immediately after the first one appeared on my statement. They consistently refuse to communicate other than through their portal, which yields no results. The therapist and psychiatrist that I was dealing with were wonderful and I would advise them not to allow their reputations to be associated with LifeStance.
