Kind heart

I have been going to therapy now a little over a year and a half. My therapist Gustavo Caceres is a wonderful, kind, and compassionate person. I am older and he is younger but he has helped me tremendously with my life and navigating through sudden change. For me it’s a win, win situation. I would recommend him as a therapist to anyone that needs a true New Yorker.

I was a client for under six months

I was a client for under six months. The sessions were helpful to me. No problem with the therapist that I was seeing. My concerns with this company comes from the managerial standpoint. The therapist was more than 2 stars. Again, the people in the office in my opinion run this business like a puppy mill. The impression that they have left with me is that quantity is better than quality from a professional standpoint. I think the there business is setup to make talking to someone inconvenient and cumbersome. I think that is the case when cancelling an appointment. I was on the line for close to 30 minutes and I just hung up. I was calling to ask for a break down for my bill and the first thing on their recording was how pay, are you calling to pay, and/or when will you pay so the bill does not go to collections. So!n having said that you should consider this company carefully. Anyone looking for therapist to discuss issues. my issues were being bullied in the workplace. I would not recommend this place of business for anyone with an extensive mental health background because as a nurse for over 34 years I don't think they are qualified. If I needed more counseling, I would use a different company. I have seen first hand how mental health treatment is important to people's lives and it should be looked at and taken very seriously and after reading some of the other reviews, I'm concerned if some are really getting what they need.m

We had to take our 12 year old dog to the emergency vet the morning of my appointment, He passed away within a few hours. He was part of our family and we’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old. I just paid my cancellation fee of $50. I called to cancel my appointment, but it was not within 48 hours, Zero compassion.

Got ADHD? Stay AWAY

The most incompetent provider of my 15 years of medication management. They gaslight you when they forget to send in your prescription and you have to remind them multiple times, was no called no showed by my psychiatrist. And NOW they have been refusing to send my patient records to a new provider for over 2 weeks now because I finally had enough with life stance and am spending a lot of money to start all over again with a new provider. They are petty, unprofessional, and run like a pill mill with no consideration to the patients.

If I could give this clinic 0 stars I…

If I could give this clinic 0 stars I would. (Vancouver on 51st) The psychologist my son saw was incompetent and mixed my son up with other clients she had, put my name wrong in the system, cancelled multiple times where we couldn’t get an appointment for over a month, couldn’t remember what test and diagnostic tools needed to be used. Ran over 20 minutes with previous client so we then were running late. The scheduling team and the doctor seemed to have a disconnect which made things hard and confusing all around. Billing is awful. Looking for help…DONT come here!!!

Terrible TERRIBLE patient help

Terrible TERRIBLE patient help! The portal is Very confusing and useless! Was told that it was $75 for a no show just to find out it is actually $200! I got a call that I have a $400 debt to pay from no shows but had a conversation before with my therapist that she was going to void them because I was still trying to get a hang of everything online was told to tell my therapist when I count make the app I did so and was still charged!!. Not worth your money or time! I’ve been waiting on the phone with the billing apartment for hours! This is pathetic and ridiculous! The therapist also seem like they don’t know what they’re doing, asking me super irrelevant questions about random stuff that didn’t matter!

Great service and highly recommended.

My experience with Lifestance over the course of the past 3 years has been very positive. My therapist has been so supportive and helpful to me. With her help I’m making changes in my life I wasn’t able to make on my own. Lifestance has been very easy to get appointments through their web portal and any issues have been resolved seamlessly. Lifestance has made it easier for me to get therapy, and I love that I get to do it from home.

I went to LifeStance in Auburn…

I went to LifeStance in Auburn specifically for testing to identify/explain my life-long problems with reading. I had to undergo a complete neuropsych evaluation because "we have to give the psychometrician something else to do for her day of work." I have had multiple neuropsych evals for executive functioning problems over the past 25 years, but they never included "educational" testing specifically for my reading problems. I paid $500 out of pocket for the educational testing because it wasn’t covered by insurance. The psychologist seemed not to understand how to interpret the tests. One test evaluated how quickly and accurately I could distinguish between Bs, Ds, and Ps. It took me forever because it’s something I struggle with. When I remarked that it was difficult and asked how it was used for diagnostic purposes, the psychologist told me it wasn't part of the reading testing and that it was used to determine if I was faking a problem. I went for testing to understand my reading problems and paid out of pocket. I’m not sure why anyone else would fake it but I certainly didn’t. What motivation could I possibly have to lie on the test? Why did he make me waste time on a test that was not useful to understanding my actual problem? During the follow-up appointment when we discussed the results, the psychologist said that the test he said was about faking it actually was used to evaluate reading difficulties and that I took more time than normal. I guess he googled the answer between testing day and writing the report? That among many things made me feel like he was wholly unqualified to do the evaluation. During my pre-testing interview and on the day of testing, the psychologist didn't listen to my concerns and wrote a useless report. Even the neuropsych tests were interpreted differently than the five previous tests. He’s definitely not more qualified than the university-based psychologists who conducted the previous evaluations. I can only conclude that his interpretation is wrong. Now I am out $500 and am no closer to understanding why I have never read at grade level. I called to get an appointment with another clinician to discuss the results of the testing hoping to get an interpretation from someone more qualified professional. I was told I would have to repeat all the testing and pay $500 again. It’s outrageous.

BEWARE

BEWARE! Do not put your credit card on file! They incorrectly billed me for my first service and took it from my debit card I have been calling in every week for update the first time they "re ran my benefits" and saw that yes it was incorrect and that they would get it taken care of they keep passing me on from department to department constantly "sending messages" they are a complete JOKE! The service providers are great (therapist & psychologist) but unfortunately I will not continue with this company just for the fact they cannot fix their error!!!!! BAD BUSINESS!

Amanda Miller is an awesome therapist

Amanda Miller is an awesome therapist. I was in a very dark place 9 months ago when I first starting seeing Amanda and I am doing much better now. She listens very well and talks about what is bothering me. She is not what I call a checklist therapist. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst, you know. That kind. She listens and has very sound advice and seems to always be concerned with how I’m doing. I was very against therapy when I started and had a lot of reservations on whether it actually worked. Not any more. I was at my wits end when I started, but now wish I had done this a long time ago rather then suffer and fake it till you make it. Thanks Amanda, you’ve been a huge help with my anxiety.

My experience with LifeStance Health…

My experience with LifeStance Health has been nothing short of a nightmare. I was bounced around between therapists, lied to, and ultimately left without the support I desperately needed during one of the most challenging times in my life. Lisa Padilla, LCSW: Lisa was my initial therapist and assured me she could handle my situation. However, her complete lack of professionalism and disregard for my circumstances were appalling. Her insensitive approach and gaslighting during a time when I was dealing with severe mental health issues and a dying family member were incredibly distressing. Aura Mena, Psychiatrist: As a psychiatrist, Aura Mena should have provided the medical support and guidance I needed. Instead, her care was inadequate and dismissive. She prescribed medication but offered no follow-up or comprehensive treatment plan. Her lack of empathy and support exacerbated my anxiety and depression, making my condition even worse. Janice McNamara, Psychologist: My experience with Janice was equally disappointing. Despite being informed of my urgent need for support and the ongoing issues with other therapists at LifeStance, she showed no sympathy or understanding of my situation. Her unwillingness to provide the necessary assistance was the final straw. Overall, my time with LifeStance Health has been a series of letdowns and frustrations. I felt abandoned and unsupported by a team that was supposed to help me. Their failure to provide competent and compassionate care has had a detrimental impact on my mental health. I strongly advise against seeking treatment from LifeStance Health, especially from Lisa Padilla, Aura Mena, and Janice McNamara.
