Thank you so much for helping get my refills sent and for change my appt to a phone appointment I do not have a vehicle right now and it's been a challenging for me to get transportation lately! Thank you!
Thank you LifeStance for supporting my mental health journey. Thank you Dr. Harwood.
I absolutely love my therapist but this company’s cancellation fee is crazy. The first time I had to cancel we had an active tornado warning and customer services wanted to charge me but then I guess they finally realized I could reschedule without being charged. Then today I tested positive for Covid and customer service again wanted to charge me. After the first time I thought that I could just reschedule without the charge which she informed me that I would still get charged. I just went ahead a cancelled all my appointments and expressed how it’s not right if it’s out of my control (having Covid) to be charged a cancel fee and then she proceeded to hang up on me. I’m am more than happy to take responsibility when it’s my fault for having to cancel but you should get waved the cancellation fee for disasters and at least Covid!
I’ve been on hold with the billing department for literally 59 minutes now. Meanwhile the recording keeps telling me my time is valuable. This is miserable management as well as unprofessional. You apparently have no regard for your clients.
I like my doctor but all of a sudden I've ive been getting billed an additional $115 charge and no one can tell me why. They just tell me what it means. I've seen my doctor for years and suddenly there's an additional charge. I've talked to my doctor, billing, and the front desk and just keep getting the go around. You mean to tell me I'm paying $330 for a 15 minute medication refill visit after years of paying $215 and no can tell me why. Cool. I gotta start looking for another doctor now
Lifestance has the worst customer service. There are constantly billing mistakes and when you call to clear them up, you get young, uneducated, poorly trained people. This company is a money grab. There are great therapists but do yourself a favor and go somewhere local because this place isn’t worth the headache. Edit: I’m also pretty sure they’ve been spamming good reviews. Again ANYWHERE ELSE IS BETTER
The option of phone or virtual visits is very convenient. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been very pleasant and helpful.
I went to a local office in MA. Though the therapist was friendly, the recommendations were not helpful. Maybe she was inexperienced as she was very young. In my 60's years, I have never thought of suicide. If you want to commit suicide, this may be your place!!! At work, I was put into a position I was not trained for outside my job description. I filled in a few times a month doing a job I had never done. I was having severe panic attacks, minor chest pains, etc, which I had never had in my previous 40 years. The therapist told me I needed to tap my wrist and breathe at some count, and with a few years of therapy, I may be able to do that job. Long story short, I went to another doctor, who wrote me a note that I couldn't do that job and told me to take some time off. I am all better now. A week later, I was back at work doing my old job and did not have to cover for someone else. Her having me think of doing that miserable job covering for someone twice per month who was out sick with no hope for me but tapping and breathing and therapy for two years was overwhelming. Plus, what they charge for bad advice is a ripoff.
They are impossible to contact. I have tried to update my insurance information for two months but neither their portal nor their phone number ever gets answered. An update from week of Sep 11, 2024 They did promptly rectify this situation after my earlier review, so I changed the rating from 1 to 3
Dean is an outstanding therapist! Anyone who gets him is blessed! He has a true gift when it comes to working with adolescents or young adults. He is funny too. My son absolutely loves him. He makes my son feel extremely comfortable to talk to him. He has really helped my son already!
Please BEWARE of this place. They will loot you... Horrible experience. They charged me $605 for one 15 minutes session and Customer service people are very rude
I was given medication for depression that helped. I was given a pill to take when needed for anxiety. They were too strong and no other considerations to my recurring anxiety attacks were given. The same can be said for the counselor.. no serious consideration of anxiety.. other than breathing or music. In reality my anxiety has gotten so bad that in public I act out.. eg. Screaming at folks in public! No help! Secondly, as someone who has been in many counseling situations, I found the 2 counselors I tried good for beginners, but not for in-depth issues. Also, they have quite a repertoire of ways of counseling but, didn’t use them with me. Third, when I started, the dial-in for a tele-session was okay. It has now been changed and for each session you enter the same lengthy data (15 minutes more) over and over. Why isn’t this stored?? So.. if you have basic issues, give them a try; if your issues are more complicated, go elsewhere.
Doctors are okay, customer service is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. On hold for 45 minutes just to update my credit card. Bounced around the robot on the phone for literally an hour just to speak to an office about an appointment. No price transparency at all for psych evaluations, I’ve had to ask 4 people and no one will give me an answer on how much it will cost. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME
This is a horrible, unethical company that should be shut down. I am glad to see they are getting sued by numerous groups, as they have many illegal practices. For one, they refuse to bill my insurance, and continue to bill an old insurance plan that is not active. This is for visits from 2023. I have called customer service at least 12 times to resolve this, every time I am met with promises by their incompetent billing team that this will be "resolved". However, it never is, and a few months later I receive the SAME bill, with no insurance claims filed. This horrid company is committing these unethical/possibly illegal billing practices in order to get patients to pay out of pocket, as they will get more money from us than if they billed insurance. There also seems be no rhyme or reason to the amount you are billed. I had a 10 minute appointment and was charged $250, my next appointment was 15 minutes and I was charged $150. After researching this, it appears that the "providers" are paid on COMMISSION, so the more they bill you for a session, the more they make. How this is not considered a complete conflict of interests is something I will never understand. They have effectively turned mental health "professionals" into SALESPEOPLE. It ALSO looks like Lifestance is paying for fake reviews, as all of the 5 star reviews are very recent and from people with odd/fake names and this is their only review for their profile for all of them. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. Go anywhere but Lifestance Health if you value your sanity at all.
They are terrible. The pharmacy couldn’t fill the prescription and I literally called twice a week for three weeks and still nobody responded to write a correct script!! It was a horrible experience. They are undependable in a time of need. In my experience, the provider was nice enough, but the back office and support staff was not diligent in communicating my situation to the prescriber. Or, maybe they’re all just like that and they all don’t care.
Love my therapist. She has helped me immensely
The person who scheduled me knew I needed medication management and scheduled me with someone who couldn't do that. A HUGE WASTE OF TIME - I would not recommend them I wasted an hour when my son really need medication -
Lifestance literally saved my life. I've had 2 therapists through this company and they are both wonderful. All of these negative reviews are disheartening. I'm sorry people are having a bad experience but, mine has been wonderful. Although I don't get much "homework" to work on outside of therapy they have changed the way I view the world.
Y’all are a joke. My “ therapist was Chanta V Verdon and she was horrible. She would never listen to me. Never acknowledge my feelings. She would always look elsewhere instead of the screen since we were virtual she would always play with her hair, right in her journal something down that definitely wasn’t what I was saying she would always hear half of my points, she never gave me homework to do, she would always talk about how much she goes on vacation and how she can get a better job than this one because they don’t pay enough. When I would say something important, she stopped me and always said that I would be a good therapist because I love to listen to other peoples problems. She has also multiple occasions talked about her own trauma talk about her own boy problem and she asked for my advice with all that and she’s apparently a therapist?? this company does not care about their clients whatsoever. Y’all are scams. Y’all are pathetic. Your company is pathetic. I had an appointment on July 23 at 3 o’clock and y’all voicemail me the day before saying that chanta could not see me anymore because of my insurance problems and I should be paying y’all, and y’all have texted me emailed me asking for my deposit on that therapy appointment which I did not go to which I did not even cancel. She canceled on me so I don’t feel the need to even pay her at all and the calls and emails y’all send me it’s clear to me that y’all only care about money because I have emailed you multiple times and you have not emailed me back at all, this is the most underwhelming unprofessional environment that I’ve ever been to. Chanta is honestly the worse therapist I have ever went to, the worst I mean like come on who does their hair in a middle of an appointment who interrupts their clients talking about how much they go on vacation, who talks to their clients saying i could get a better job than this one to their clients my appointment always became her sessions. I had to help with all her issues I gave her feedback and you know what not once did she give me any feedback and I’ve been a patient since last year. like I said you guys also have emailed me and called me today talking about I have a balance I need to pay and like I said I don’t feel the need to pay y’all. I don’t want to pay y’all because you guys have been nothing but trash to me I should not be having to pay for a session I did not go to or canceled so yeah I don’t feel the need to pay y’all. I don’t want to pay y’all and I’m not going to pay y’all because y’all wasted my time on multiple occasions on multiple occasions and honestly, I have more things to say about chanta that I’m not going to because this is a public platform that everyone can see. This company only care about money you don’t care about your clients whatsoever and that’s evident with all the comments and negative comments that I have read and I agree with everyone saying that you guys are unprofessional because you are you. Y’all need do background checks if you haven’t on your therapist to see if they are actually capable of talking to people with trauma and trying to make them be a better person and give those people feedback on what they can do to change. I’m just very disappointed in this company so anyways like I said, I’m not going to pay you. You guys can sue me, email me voicemail me all you want, but I’m not giving you my money because you’re wasting my time so I’m gonna waste yours.
