Easy, Reliable, Helpful

Easy to see a therapist and convenient to get a virtual visit and get a therapist that is willing to work with your schedule and see you as much or as little as you need. Very helpful and trusting.

Gets the job done

My psychiatrist’s office was, I believe, bought by Lifestance in what I’m assuming is the corporatization of mental health care nationally. I’m a younger adult. My experience with my initial clinic was so-so. My experience with Lifestance has been slightly more positive. While there was a bit of confusion and frustration in the first few months, it was primarily because my psychiatrist abruptly left the practice and I wasn’t as experienced with the process yet. However, my main concern was not interrupting my medications and Lifestance was very helpful in getting my prescriptions filled while I was between providers/appointments. I’m on my 2nd psychiatrist since the Lifestance takeover and I’ve been satisfied with both. The portal is easy to use for messaging your provider or asking for refills but definitely keep your own insurance records to double check their billing department. About a year ago I was asked to pay a bill I had already paid, just not through their portal. It was figured out after a few phone calls.

Highly Recommend

I researched the long list of psychologists before I chose Ms. J. Davis. She is experienced in treating clients with eating disorders as well as many other mental health issues. She is easy to talk to, very helpful, and keeps me accountable. I highly recommend her! I have talked with two different office staff members on separate occasions who were pleasant, helpful, and respectful.

Unbelievably frustrating experience…

Unbelievably frustrating experience working with this company. My daughter's therapist worked for a different organization that was bought by Lifestance. It's been nothing but a headache since they took over. Billing is ATROCIOUS! For the first 6 months, I never received a bill. I finally proactively called and they told me I had a $400 balance and I could pay through the portal. I had never been told about the portal since they took over. We never received any introduction to them whatsoever. I also asked why I hadn't received a call about the balance and I was told they were short-staffed. Every time I call I have to leave my call back number and wait hours or even days for a billing person to call me back. The portal itself is useless. Very limited functionality. You can't cancel appointments. You can't see statements. The most recent frustration was my daughter turning 18 and me losing access to the portal for privacy reasons. I had to make three separate calls to regain access and each time the rep told me something different. It's still not resolved.

Barely Legitimate Scammers - Stay Away!

This company is barely legitimate and engages in shady if not outright illegal practices. They send mysterious bills from a "No reply" email, their billing department doesn't answer the phone (average wait time is 45 minutes). Their BBB rating is in the gutter and they have two major class-action lawsuits going against them from employees. They prey on the mentally ill while evading legal standards. Stay away from these sharks at all cost!

Poor scheduling and the staff do no…

Poor scheduling and the staff do no have a clue as they simply stated we accidently double booked and it seem the I was not the only one in the office told that. Please be careful as they do not care if your child took time off from school

Dr Nathan Gardner is my doctor

Dr Nathan Gardner is my doctor. I have only praise and gratitude for him and LifeStance Health. We work together to understand and improve the quality of life for myself. Looking for some hope?

If you are reading reviews for LifeStance in the hope that you will see some sort of sign that they can help, please keep reading. I recently suffered a very rough patch of depression/anxiety and panic disorder. I will be honest. It took some time to set up initial intake appointments and there was some time between visits. But Tina Hendricks worked with me on the science/brain/genetics/meds side and Rebecca Reising worked with me on the emotion/feelings/coping management side. Together, they helped me to get a much better place. Thank you, Tina and Rebecca, for being a big reason I am able to enjoy my life again.

Is it really that hard to get the cost for the additional fees?

I’m sure many people have had a better experience, getting past scheduling to see a specialist. Unfortunately, I couldn’t even get past scheduling, and it was such an unpleasant and unprofessional interaction. I’m still trying to understand why she had to be so unkind. All I wanted to do was schedule a virtual visit. When I asked about the fees, I was told it would be $150 for a missed appointment, but it was like pulling teeth to get information about other fees. I even asked to speak with someone from billing, but it didn’t help. The representative talked over me, was rude, and ended the call abruptly, all just because I was asking about fees. Fast forward, I decided to call back to cancel the appointment, only to be told that the date and time had been "blocked" but never actually set. It was honestly so disheartening.

Reasonable and Necessary Care

I have been coming to Lifestance Health for many years. It took me many years to find a counselor who understood me and who had my best interests at heart. I have fully appreciated working with Jeanne ever since. Additionally, Lifestance has been a very flexible service. The assistance they provided when I lost my job, was invaluable - because that’s when I needed my counselor the most. Additionally, all the processes that they implemented, during Covid, from taking our temperatures and providing us masks upon arrival to making Telehealth and Video or Virtual Health appointment options available, were not only necessary but also reasonable. Thank you
