If I could give this health practice a negative star I would! I am extremely disappointed with this mental health practice. Despite their mission to improve clients' well-being, their billing practices have caused significant stress for my family. My daughter has been attempting to resolve billing issues for months - each time she makes a payment, she later finds threats of appointment cancellation for supposed missed payments or balances out of nowhere. The front desk staff at the Glen Allen location appears poorly trained, unable to answer basic questions about billing processes. This suggests serious organizational problems that undermine their stated commitment to patient care. The disconnect between this company's mission and their actual business practices is concerning. Their billing department's persistent errors have added unnecessary anxiety to patients already seeking mental health support. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this practice and believe their administrative issues should be addressed through proper channels.

This place is a moneygrab. I find it hard to believe that they even provide legitimate psychiatric services with how unprofessional my experience has been. I had a nice psychiatrist for a little bit, who actually seemed to care, but like others have said - they just disappear from LifeStance with no warning and LifeStance does not automatically reassign you. And because I no longer had a psychiatrist, I was not able to get my mood stabilizers refilled - they told me I couldn't get a refill until I met with a new psychiatrist. So they put me on these brain-altering pills that you cannot quit cold turkey without having serious consequences (BPD is ROUGH), and I went through the withdrawals of my own medication. Because they wouldn't keep my refills consistent after my psychiatrist disappeared with no warning. I wasn't allowed to get a refill until I requested a new psychiatrist, which just seems so irresponsible when dealing with such serious medications. They also say that LifeStance is in-network with my insurance for a $0 copay, yet I end up paying $75 for every appointment, which takes less than 10 minutes as they are just asking baseline questions as if completing a checklist. And they will have me come to these $75 appointments just to request a 30-day refill of my medicine, so they can keep me coming back every month and take my money. I never have any refills allowed on my pill bottles and they're never more than a 30-day supply. They force you to come back and fork over more money. I was paying these copays at the time of my appointments, and yet I would receive notices that I had overdue balances. My appointments were paid in full. Somehow I now owe them almost $300 inexplicably. I'm looking for a new psychiatrist elsewhere - avoid LifeStance at all costs, especially if you have BPD.

I had an issue with a prescription at the pharmacy that required the Dr to call in a new prescription. I was able to get ahold of someone at the office quickly and they contacted the Dr to call in a new prescription. I even got a follow up call by the lady at the desk to let me know that the matter had been settled. Their phone communication system has improved tremendously and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. My Dr Juan Balagur is excellent and I am satisfied with my experience with Life Stance.

I avoided therapy for years because I always was afraid of what I’d have to talk about. Dr. Brenna Shanahan eased my fear and made me comfortable and really focuses on my specific needs abs situations. I also love the flexibility of chatting on the phone or via zoom.

I wish I could give zero. So unprofessional, my provider actually argued with me during our visit. Do not go here. And cancelling appointments is IMPOSSIBLE. They just leave you on hold. I am writing this while I’ve currently been on hold for 30 plus minutes trying to cancel an appointment because I don’t want to go back after the provider was so rude and unprofessional.

My daughter had one therapy session online and I never heard back from the therapist, Keisha. I scheduled a second session with her and then never heard back again from the therapist. I complained to lifestand and requested another therapist but Keisha had to relinquish the case. I was told they would call me back in 72hrs after the relinquish to assign a new therapist and it has been a month. Never heard back from them. Would never recommend this place for therapy.

My virtual appointment was canceled after it started -- *without a refund*. I logged in at session time, was asked to pay, completed the payment, and minutes later, the provider wrote about canceling. I asked for a refund and she said they'd refund it. They never did. I contacted LifeStance Health about the cancelation and a refund. They never replied. No communication whatsoever and they charged my insurance and card. In my experience, it was a money trap and I had to dispute with my bank to receive my refund. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Scam billing. I have no copay on my insurance and Life stance is in network. They charged me a copay of $75 for my initial appointment. I disputed it with my credit card company thinking it was an error. I went to check in online to my second appointment and they tried to do it again, I called and canceled and they threatened me with a cancellation fee. Go elsewhere.

My counselor (Candas Elder) is all you would ever desire or need for guidance and support. She is reliable, trustworthy, caring, empathetic, knowledgable and professional. She has been critical to helping me manage my mental health concerns in an exceptional manner. My life would not be the same without her.

5 STARS treatment- I was helped by the front desk associate at Lifestance Health in Scottsdale, AZ., and her name was Drew. She was not only polite and comprehensive, answering every question I had completely, but she was very courteous and made sure I felt satisfied with all her answers! She also said she would return my call after checking my billing status, which she did the very next day, and was just as polite, and covered all the bases! This made me feel so secure with the billing department at Lifestance in Scottsdale. I see Brett Leifson, Psychiatric NP, the best I’ve ever talked to. Comprehensive, compassionate, and a updated knowledge base in how to help patient’s mental health needs. He has helped me so much in the last two years. I’m a different person! I value his down to earth, yet comprehensive treatment methods, and he always makes me feel a part of my own plan, allowing me to express myself in multiple ways. I would recommend Brett to anyone searching for a competent & honest mental health provider. I’m glad I found him in Scottsdale!

My experience with LifeStance has been great! Supportive, kind and thorough, my therapist Jacqueline has been insightful, helpful, friendly and pushes me to do uncomfortable, healthy things. I have struggled with check ins and forms and repeat surveys in past doctor offices but this system setup for reminders and ease of use is great. Thank you!

LifeStance health was a life saver for me. I had very terrible experience with my last provider, they got me in right away and personalized my experience to my exact needs.

Friendly welcoming staff at reception. I brought my new ESA puppy to my Apt. They were very accommodating to this. My Nurse Practioner Dawn, was just the best. Very understanding, listened to me and guided me through medication options for my mental health needs. Would highly recommend life stand to others.

The Receptionist, my Psychiatrist and Th erapist at the Folsom Lifestance location are amazing! I have had nothing but positive experiences, and each one of these young ladies has also gone above and beyond her call of duty, at various times since I've been going there for about one year now. I thank each of them for being there during my most difficult times of need. I plan to continue getting services at this location, working with them, as long as needed.

I was in need of something to make my depression and anxiety less. Dr. Stacy found me the perfect fit. He’s great to talk to and has A sense of humor, which is a must for me. So I’m extremely happy and yes, I would definitely refer him to my friends and family.

The actual doctors are fine, it's the company that is horrible. Impossible to ever get someone on the phone. I've left messages and no one cares to respond and when I have spoken to someone they all say the same thing, they are not able to help but will send a message to someone who can help. Of course no one ever gets in touch. Absolutely the worst most frustrating experience with a healthcare provider.

This practice is so easy to work with. Their operations are very efficient and anytime I've had a question or concern, they have been very responsive. My therapist is the best! Kind, compassionate, and genuine, she has helped me through some very difficult situations. I would recommend LifeStance to anyone.

My experience with Lifestance has been totally positive. I live outside Springfield and waited nearly a year for a therapist in my area to be available—and with mental health, that’s not okay. I found Lifestance on the internet and selected my therapist—who has been very helpful. I’m fully satisfied and would recommend.

Dr. Frye is a great doctor and excellent resource who will be missed.

I am happy with both Dr Horstman and Ed Rowinski. They are both encouraging me to change living situation. Ed is helping me to get on proper meds.Both listen to me and help me get well.
