Very pleased with the help we received from Knights Plc when purchasing our new home, Debbie Commons was very much on the ball along with Abbie Broadbent who helped with ensuring all relevant paperwork was completed within the right time scale. We had been kept informed of all relevant information of what was happening along with the concern of exchanging on the same day as completion and what could happen if things went wrong, fortunately we exchanged 2 days before completion, we found the Knights Plc team very professional and would recommend them.
Currently several months into the process of selling a house (granted has not been the most straight-forward sale and queries from buyers have been staggered), but communication has been non-existent. Constantly have to chase every issue, and even then, things are not actioned when promised. Tried to make allowances for the pandemic and all the knock-ons that has had, but exhausted with chasing things, the lack of effect this has and and the nonchalance.
Very poor telephone manner and very unprofessional. Person who is answering calls, just not interested in customer complaint. When asked to be put through to her manager/supervisor, they apparently didn’t have one. When asked to whom I make contact to make a complaint her reply was I don’t know. Very rude and unprofessional, would not recommend anyone to use knights if they want customer satisfaction.
I have recently used the Nottingham branch for conveyancing and the Team headed up by Wendy (with Helen and Sian), could not have been more helpful. They were always available and reassuring at the crisis points during our house sale and purchase with shrewd advice given. Thanks to all and at a reasonable fee. Five star service!
very bad communication and unprofessional. paid for searches in November and was just informed by the council that they haven't received any search request yet after 2 months.
Steer clear of Knights Nottingham Office. Extremely slow response and incompetent, on top of that, they also gave incorrect legal advice. I am considering suing them for prefessional negligence.
We recently used Knights solicitors to oversee the purchase of our first home, and although they did their job and the house purchase went smoothly, they were incredibly slow to reply to emails, and often ignored them altogether. On a piece of important documentation my home address was incorrect and we requested that they change it. After two weeks of waiting and emailing multiple times, they sent us the exact same (unchanged) document asking for our signatures. They were also often very quick to email us asking for payment for services to be carried out (searches, etc.), but we had to chase them up after weeks of silence to find out what the outcome of these services were. Overall they carried out the work of a solicitor and transferred the mortgage funds to the seller in a timely manner, but kept us very uninformed throughout the entire process.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Absolutely awful. Incompetent and failed to do the job correctly the first time! They make you resend the same document over and over again! . Poor customer service. Even failed to give correct information in the first place!
Negligently failed to advise us on the impact of buying a leasehold flat with only 86 years left on the lease. Negligently failed to transfer the leasehold to us. Tried to rectify both but then negligently filed an invalid lease extension application. Then withdrew from acting for us three weeks before we were due to complete.
Steer clear of this firm. Used them for a house purchase and due to incompetence at their end, we ended up being homeless for the night. Communication shocking, at times I really believed that I had been ripped off by a firm pretending to be solicitors. Made a complaint but they haven’t even bothered contacting me to resolve it. Loads of extras added on to their charges. Really nice at first but once they have your instruction they change. I would give zero stars if it was at all possible.
at first they nice as any law firm .. but once you hire them .. all gone .. your bills will go up and never stay within what agreed .. no reply and delay ongoing and more you chase them more your bill will be add on and if you complain why taking such long time .. then more delays etc.. process of 1-2 week they starch it as months just to add more to your bill and already cost me alot on my mortgage delays .. just really bad ..
Worse Solicitor ever you can use for property!! I have been waiting for exchange and completion since July. No communication from the solicitor, no reply or responses to email or calls. Very slow work. I had to chase and chase again and again to get an update. I was put forward to speak to the supervisor after being fed up with my solicitor Ms N.W, and turned out to be he is worse than the associate solicitor on my case. Absolutely poor communication skills. All they want is their hands in your pocket. To open a file for you they will show their eagerness, once you have opened a file and are obliged to pay their fees, then they disappear and you have to chase them. Shame I was fooled by my mortgage broker to use them, otherwise I would have gone with my precious solicitor who was more professional and reliable to work with. Will definitely under no circumstances use this firm again and would absolutely not recommend anyone to use the solicitors for at least property.
The Nottingham branch assisted us with the sale of our property and were very helpful, efficient and reliable in dealing with everything. Johanna, Nick and their colleagues were all very prompt in responding to our enquiries
Incredibly bad service and poor communication. There were no update of my remortgage/completion and there were always delays. I had to chase regularly for updates. The worst part of the process was dealing with Leeds BS's chosen solicitors (Integrar (part of knights Professional Services) formally known QCAS) who were very very very unprofessional. I had to continuously chase the solicitor regularly for updates and confirmation. They also did not follow procedures set by Leeds BS which meant my mortgage started earlier than expected and a payment was processed whilst my existing mortgage was still in place. They also only provide me an important document 36 hours before my completion which meant I had to delay the completion due to the short time to review. I would never use this unprofessional company again!
We sold our house in Sheffield and used the Leeds office and had a very excellent, prompt and helpful service from Louise Nunns and Paula Mayfield. Very happy with their work. Thank you!
If you are thinking of using Knights for your property purchase do not do it! I am in the process of buying a leasehold flat with no chain and I am currently on week 17 with no sign of completion or exchange of contracts in sight. My emails and phone calls are ignored on a regular basis and I'm only given an update if I get my estate agent involved. Please do not waste your time and money.

I highly recommend John Lord and Asim Din who dealt with a very concerning matter for me in a way that resolved it positively without having to spend years in litigation. Without the help of these two fantastic solicitors I feel that things would not have turned out well at all and I am very happy with the service.
Thanks for all the help I received from the Nottingham team - especially Georgia. The lock down gave us all a few challenges but I was kept up to date with everything. Was advised in plenty of time when to recheck mortgage offer as it was out of date by the time things got moving again. Cannot recommend highly enough. Definately will use again if/when I need to.
