In passato avevo già scelto questa assicurazione perché offre delle opzioni che nessun altro ha, come la possibilità comunicare via app dall' estero o di poterla attivare anche a viaggio gia iniziato. Nell' ultima occasione ho avuto un' esperienza particolarmente positiva col servizio clienti e Paulina, impeccabile, molto cortese, disponibile e attento al cliente. Ottimo servizio clienti.
Durante il mio ultimo viaggio in Thailandia, ho avuto un paio di problemi di salute. Ho usufruito di cure presso due ospedali privati e l’assicurazione Heymondo mi ha dato assistenza in tutto. Posso solo che consigliarla in base alla mia esperienza.
For all those people who contract two insurances while traveling never when you contract two policies separately in this case you will be left without being covered and the company does nothing to help and to extend the first policy together with the second while traveling and being the same client I see myself needing to modify the written reference since in the last file I had they have left me uninsured due to the extension of the policy since I had two policies and they refused to extend both policies, that is, the first policy with the second while traveling in fact I was three days without coverage and without medical assistance because my case was already pre-existing for the first policy! A real negligence and lack of professionalism on the part of the company! Obviously I have asked for the refund and cancellation of the second policy and I am still waiting for an answer despite all the medical negligence I had!

Terrible Customer Support & Unreliable Emergency Assistance I had a serious gut inflammation and received treatment after my first emergency visit. However, my symptoms got significantly worse, and I urgently needed medical attention again. When I contacted Heymondo’s emergency assistance, I was shocked by their response. A rude representative informed me that I was not allowed to go to the emergency room unless a doctor pre-approved it within 48-72 hours. This makes absolutely no sense in a medical emergency. To make matters worse, instead of assisting me, he dismissed my concerns in an impolite manner and told me to call a local health center—which is completely against the purpose of having travel insurance. At this point, I still have no response from Heymondo, and their lack of urgency and professionalism is unacceptable. If you’re looking for reliable travel insurance that actually helps in emergencies, stay away from Heymondo. UPDATE ON 4.02.2025: After leaving a review here, I received a response from the Heymondo team (you can check it below). The response is both misleading and contradictory. Heymondo claims that my second emergency visit was approved once the necessary documentation was received, yet I was never informed of this approval at the time. I received no confirmation, instructions, or assistance—only after my public complaint on February 1, 2025, did the support team email me today (February 4, 2025), stating that the report was received on February 2 and my visit was approved. Let me emphasize this clearly: I requested assistance for an urgent medical situation on February 1, 2025. The insurance did not approve my visit, did not provide any assistance, and left me without support in an emergency. Now, on February 4, 2025, I receive a response stating that my visit was approved. When exactly was this approval given? Why was I not informed immediately when I urgently needed medical care? I still don't have those answers Furthermore, their response now states: “In any urgent situation, you always have the option to go directly to the nearest emergency facility even without prior approval and later call our assistance department to manage the payment.” However, when I contacted their 24/7 emergency support, I was explicitly told that I could not do anything until prior approval was granted. Instead of assisting me, their representative rudely dismissed my concerns and advised me to seek a public healthcare facility on my own—completely ignoring the fact that I had purchased your insurance specifically for emergency support. This delay and lack of communication demonstrate a serious failure in providing emergency support, which is the core reason travelers purchase insurance. Heymondo's response does not address the fact that their assistance team failed to provide timely and accurate help and any answer regarding approval when I needed it most.
I would like to book for multiple annual travel insurance and the system does allow me to go through ; however the small in-print there indicating that max age is 49 I found it discriminatory and would like to know what other options are provided for customer over 49 for multiple annual travel insurance

We had a problem in Thailanda with a bacteria, we contacted HeyMondo send us to the closest hospital they are working and everythong went very smooth: good hospital, excellent taking care of. We would for sure gonna use HeyMondo in the future

Es la cuarta vez que compro sus seguros y afortunadamente hasta ahora no he tenido que usarlos. Pero está cuarta vez he tenido que usarlo dos veces en el mismo viaje y fatal. La primera vez, después de dos horas de haberlos llamados, me indican un hospital a más de una hora de dónde estaba. Pregunto para un hospital más cerca y tardan más de dos horas en contestarme. Cuando me contestan confirmando que había un hospital más cerca, ya había alcanzado el primero más lejos. Primer punto. Segundo punto: una vez en el hospital no me dan instrucciones de ningún tipo, tuve que llamarles varias veces para entender adónde ir. Ahora venimos a la segunda vez que he tenido que llamarles para otra emergencia. Primero me sugieren que me llame un doctor de ellos y me dicen que me llegará un correo con un link para la llamada. Espero 3 horas, durante las cuales les llamo. No me ha llegado ningún correo ni alguna llamada pero después de 3 horas me escriben un correo diciendo que me han llamado pero no he contestado! Entonces vuelvo a llamar para decir que porfavor abran una incidencia y que tengo que ver un médico presencialmente. Lo hacen y pero ya era tarde y cuando acudo al centro médico el doctor se había ido. Tuve que volver al centro médico está mañana y me han llevado al hospital. Les avisé enseguida (hace 5 horas) y me dijeron que no me preocupase que informariían al corresponsal local. Llevo ya 3 horas en el hospital esperando a que envíen la garantía de pago. Ya me han visitado, he llamado a HeyMondo como 7 veces, he enviado un montón de correos y al teléfono sólo me contestan que están en ello. Sólo tienen que enviar un correo al hospital y tardan horas dejándome aquí bloqueada en un hospital? Han pasado 23 horas desde que les avisé de mi emergencia, un día entero perdido. Nunca jamás volveré a comprar su seguro, ni lo recomiendo.
No customer service at all. I bought a policy with them for a trip, and then I tried to contact them to ask some questions and make sure I had purchased the correct coverage. Well, the only way to contact them is by email. I sent an email, and it took ages for them to get back to me. Imagine what could happen if you're abroad and really need their help? I’m now canceling my policy because this one is not right coverage for me, I can change it but I’ve decided to go with a different company that actually has proper customer service.

Sfortunatamente ho avuto necessità di utilizzare l'assicurazione in Messico con la quale ho usufruito dei servizi di una clinica privata per un giorno intero! Devo davvero ringraziare la tempestività nelle risposte e nel trovare l'ospedale più vicino. Consiglio questa assicurazione senza dubbi.
