Very helpful with installing app
In September I received an email from EWT stating that my water softener required servicing and a filter change and that there was an engineer in the area over the next two weeks. I requested a service and, nearly 9 week's later I was booked in for the work today between 14.00-16.00. At around 15.00 I was informed that they were cancelling the appointment as the engineer was still at another job! I stayed in all afternoon waiting for this appointment. I pay a monthly direct debit service plan and I'm not getting the service or value for money!

I have EWT Gold Series 606 Water Softener installed for 2 years now, and I'm very happy with the result. I had a very good experience wit their Expert Engineers who came to install the product and service it after the first year. I've just contacted them again for yearly service, and I talked with Abbie from customer care, and she was very efficient by responding my questions and quickly came back to me to arrange a date for the service. I always recommend EWT Water Softener system when my friends ask for recommendations!

We had an issue with our water softener and when I called up the customer service I spoke to Victoria who was extremely helpful in trying to get my issue resolved. Alex the engineer who came to fix the water softener was very professional and knowledgeable and got to the root of the problem immediately. He did a brilliant job and our water softener is now up and running again.
Had a problem logging into App to book service. I spoke to Andrew and he couldn't have been more helpful. He got me set up and was very polite.

Installed the softener unit and drinking water filters in 2013. Done service every year, still should have the warranty of 10 years but hey! It does not work like that, just empty promises to catch you. Keep reading. On their website they have put all nice reviews. Never trusted those kinds of reviews, they are fake. Do not fall for it. If you actually read the review, all the nice ones are from those who just installed it, so they did not yet experienced the customer “service” and other issues. I advise to read the reviews of people who had it for several years to get a better understanding, negative reviews tell you the truth. When you will read in EWT replies to some negative reviews such as “We are sorry to hear about this experience. We cannot locate your account details” – they lie, this is just to cover their asses. They probably will do the same to my review as it is negative. Last year, during the service, I have been told to get a new one as the one I have they do not make any more and do not have spare parts much left.. (??!!), but they said it will last me for a year, perhaps. The unit is malfunction now and makes a lot of noise. The engineer who came last year, could not fix it (remember, I have been told to get a new one), but we have changed the time when the cycle starts, so i do not hear that trrrrr noise. New models cost Model 606 : £1016 & Model Dual: £ 1076. They offer me £100 discount... That is insulting. I have paid already for the unit which did not last its lifetime, I was with them for 9 years, and that what you get. I understand there is a need to replace units, it is technology, but give a better discount! £600 is minimum they should offer. To book a service is a nightmare - they do not give you an option to choose the date, they just send you a message when the engineer will come because he will be in the area (shocking, don't give a monkey about the fact that people actually have plans and do work!). When you call them and say it is unsuitable date, they say the message with new date will be sent shortly! Several times I was waiting for the engineer to come, and no one turned up, wasted the day waiting, they did not even bother sending a message that they will not come. But, hey, why should they? .. Terrible service. Why the hell you can't just change the way booking is working and communicate? So, the same trash over and over again, no improvements. Customer service sucks, very difficult to reach them, they ignore the emails and phone calls when they know that there is a problem. Never will be able to get a proper answer, and for some reason the call centre is in Ireland! Guess what! Every year they tried to double charge me for the service, and every year I have to fight with them. And seriously, after I have paid for the service, their admins from IRELAND, Dublin, are calling and sending messages demanding the money. So, every time I had to prove that I have paid already. Obviously, their systems do not work properly, but hey, they did not bother to fix the problem, and every year you have to go through the same shait again. The only thing you get from them is "Oh, we are very sorry about it". I don't care about your sorries. If you decided to have a business like that make sure your systems work prior going to the market. In addition to that, another plumber said that it was very poor installation. It was just put there in downstairs toilet, when there was a better place for it. Now, I want to uninstall it and that would cost me £165, the unit which is to be scrapped as they do not fix it anymore. One star from me is only because the water is good with softener and no limescale found in appliances, but the service is dodgy. And I have to put something, otherwise there would be no starts at all. Rubbish, don't go with them, you will regret. Won't be buying anything from EWT again.
