This is the second time we have used enact and we can't fault them. Our remortgage was sorted 6 months early and everything went through on the date we requested which was great.

Used Enact to remortgage. Pretty smooth process, kept informed throughout. Got a response via the messaging option when needed and got through on the phone every time I called. Would use Enact again.

They dealt with the remortgage of our property on behalf of NatWest. Everything went smoothly and on the few occasions I had to call them the call was answered within a minute or two and dealt with very quickly. They use an online portal which is very detailed and shows you everything that has been completed and anything that needs completing. Just be aware you have to pay 3 payment transfer fee costs on top of any fees that NatWest charge you which totalled over £100 extra. This part was a bit of a joke to be honest on top of the £1500 fee that NatWest already charged us to complete the product. Enact do offer the facility to send you out a cheque for any mortgage balance due to you free of charge however this only removes one of the 3 fees.
Enact was assigned by my lender, for my remortgage, and I’ll admit I was initially a bit sceptical. However, the experience turned out to be refreshingly smooth. Every request I had was handled with care, explained clearly, and completed exactly as I asked. The team was supportive throughout, and their attention to detail stood out. Let’s say — they turned legal paperwork into less of a necessary evil and more of an essential ease.
I have asked them to send me a form out for 3 weeks and still not received it. This has now resulted in a complaint. They came free with my mortgage provider and now I’m realising why. I wish I had just gone with my usual solicitor. My financial adviser has also informed me he has had loads of complaints about the service from his clients. Guess you get what you pay for.

I thought ENACT did a great job of switching my mortgage. Admittedly, I was sweating it a little as the date approached and I did not hear from them. However, after a quick call they were able to put my mind ease. I guess no news is good news! Paperwork was straightforward, customer service was excellent and the whole process was... easy!
Very happy with the Enact Conveyancing service. The portal is clear and easy to use, progress tracker transparent and helpful and the execution overall really good. This is my second time and would be happy to use again.

Extremely slow progressing our buyers mortgage application. Have delayed the chain by months putting the move at risk and wasting everyone’s time. For some reason don’t want to use digital means to communicate
Enact want me to use their online portal, which is clumsy and poorly laid out and very impersonal. They ask you to upload documents, but the upload function doesn't work. Repeatedly sent me letters saying my re-mortgage wasn't going though - which aren't accurate All would be resolved if my case manager just emailed me, like any other professional service. Would have been one star - but their webchat feature is a silver lining.

Excellent support from Enact from the start of the mortgage application to the end.
Avoid at all costs. Whilst their online platform looks good, Enact themselves were slow, uninterested, unresponsive to any form of communication, repeatedly unaware of and misinformed regarding what documents might either be needed or pertinent (staff are evidently not appropriately trained) and, most disappointing of all, lying to both ourselves and our broker (they were pulling their hair out as well). This company takes a lack of professionalism and customer neglect to a new low; it’s quite staggering. It took almost 6 months for Enact to organise a very simple mortgage transaction which left us stuck on a variable rate and £1700 out of pocket (that’s not taking their fees into account). Having organised remortgages several times before, we have never experienced such utterly base standards. I would recommend dropping your broker if they suggest using Enact. We certainly will be next time - make sure you do your homework as we didn’t and paid the price.
Outstanding communication from the team and the process of our re-mortgage was quick! A couple of issues popped up during the process but it was due to the Land Registry but Enact pointed me in the right direction to get things sorted. Would 100% use Enact again in the future

Very happy with their service, I loved their on line case tracker as it showed every stage we were at.
19 weeks ago we viewed a property and put in an offer. The vendors told us they had a lifetime mortgage with Nationwide. We explained we needed to move by the end of February as we were moving out of a rental property. They found a property in early December and started the process of transferring their mortgage with Enact as the conveyancers. Less than a week before we were leaving our rental we were told the sale wasn't ready and it would take a few more days. We have now been effectively homeless for 5.5 weeks and it is all down to the sheer incompetence of Enact. They continually ask for further information and there is no likely end in sight. We are already £3,250 out of pocket with the stamp duty rise. A phone call to Enact today to try to find out what was taking so long and they couldn't even find a file on the property in question. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I cannot imagine how any reputable bank/building society would continue to use this appalling company!
Service was great. Each time I had to get in contact, my questions were dealt with by people who clearly understand their job. The online case tracker worked well and is was easy to upload documents. All in all, a good service.
