Used Enact to remortgage. Pretty smooth process, kept informed throughout. Got a response via the messaging option when needed and got through on the phone every time I called. Would use Enact again.
Enact acted for me recently for remortgaging and Transfer of Equity to my ex-partner. A couple of hiccups along the way at no fault of Enact. I am very pleased with the outcome and will definitely be using them in the future and would highly recommend. Kept updated at all times and very quick to respond to any questions asked. Thank you so much to Enact and their caseworkers.
Enact acted for me recently in remortgaging a property. They were very easy to deal with and kept me updated every step of the way via their online portal. The remortgage was completed exactly to the day I'd asked for. I would highly recommend using Enact for any conveyancing work, I won't hesitate to use them again.
I found the whole process simple, everything I needed to sigh was posted to me with return envelope. The online app kept me updated on the process of my application, and I got alerts when something had changed, This was easier than using a broker.
Enact were great solicitors for selling and buying. Firstly their price was in the middle of some quotes I got so thought I'd give them a go. The service was easy through the online portal and their were very few issues. Matthew Hosseiny was in charge of our case and he was responsive, thorough and pleasent to deal with. Would recommend for value for money if you are happy to do it all online.
Easy to use and questions answered
Just be aware that if you're remortgaging and the lender appoints Enact to do the legal work, even if these legal fees are being "covered" by the lender as part of the mortgage product, you will still likely incur about £100 worth of charges for things like ID checks and fee transfers. Factor that in when you're weighing up if switching lenders is worth it.
The online portal looks good at the first glance, however Enact would request documents in a message or via task to complete. Every time you open the portal it shows there are unread messages and uncompleted tasks, when there are none. There is someone assigned to the case but they ignore messages sent to them. We have sent them documents they requested and nothing for over a week. No progress. No update. Chased them, 2 weeks later a reply they are waiting for a reply from the lender. Seriously?
I have only praise for Enact when dealing with my mortgage transfer. The timescale was tight but they did everything they could to get everything arranged in time for my preferred date. It went smoothly and I am very happy with the service I received.
I've used Enact twice now and both times had minimal problems. Been good at communication and responding promptly. I would personally use again.
The whole process is quick and simple. Web site is user friendly and an email notification received where any update. I am satisfied with the service.

Great company that made moving house a lot easier. We had areas of the process that went slowly but that was due to the complexity of all 3 parties within the move. Enact moved very quickly in the final 2 weeks and managed to get us completed just before the stamp duty rise came into effect which was great
