We have been on cruises 4 times and have one booked for next June, we absolutely love it. The food is to die for, the selection of wine to go with the evening is always very good. The staff are always very friendly and do an amazing job

As ever the staff are great. Food was really good. Some of the tours are a little disappointing, history overload without going into places and looking around them. Love that slow walkers are separate.

Small walking groups, including a slow walking one was a good feature. Counterbalancing the smaller cabins(smaller than the other Emerald boats I have been on) of the Rhone cruise boat. Also the removal of the extra quality wine option at dinner was a disappointment. Their was a lack of Rhone wines (even cheap ones offered with the meal in the included price. Two of the guides (Tournon and Viviers) were exceptional, Lyons, Beaune and Avignon guides were very good, The Arles guide was a trainee. The extension in Nice was OK but the hotel was a long way away from the interesting touristy parts of Nice.

As a professional Management Consultant I offered a number of positive suggestions to Emerald on our recent European River Cruise as under: Safety Drill needs to be more efficient & directive. No instructions/notices of alarm buttons in corridors! No instructions or indications of pool power jet usage Shower sign in pool area 'Before using the pool and after bathroom/toilet use - please shower for hygiene reasons' Pool steps need grips as well as on handles especially when used by elderly people Life belt/ring, Long pole by pool. Emergency button almost unnoticeable by coffee machine-no sign indicating it! Only employ non smoking staff/smoking above pool - Unhealthy environment for passengers Nearly all TV only German Request/inform “Passengers who experience cold/cough/flu/covid like symptoms are requested to wear a mask to ensure non transmission to other passengers” I regret that my suggestions were met with rather a Company complacent response and my positive intent not really appreciated.

Did the Duro in Portugal and then the Seine in France…horrific flight times…two flights to every location…no time between flights luggage lost for entire…and the UK customer care manager …not interested

The crew, from top to bottom were superb, and the itinerary was both scenic and interesting.

We have travelled with emerald cruises several times and never been disappointed. So well organised on board and excellent crew to help with anything. Great food too.

From office staff to onboard crew, as well as the freelance tour guides, no-one could have been more pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and have recommended Emerald to all friends and family. Can’t wait to travel with Emerald again!

Boat very clean and smart, staff very friendly and efficient. Rooms good. Food excellent. Whilst the included tours were excellent, there were times when you did not feel keen to make an early start!

Lovely scenery along the Douro, interesting activities, friendly staff, wonderful food and friendly co travellers. We also enjoyed the trip to Salamanca.

Unfortunately, due to heavy rain a lot of time was spent on the ship going backwards and forwards between locks due to dangerous water levels and some of the excursions were cancelled. Conflicting information was given by the reps as they seemed to be struggling with what was going on. Score would be 5* had it not been for this. However, the crew saved the day. They were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Cleanliness on board could not be faulted. Even though 4* rating given, we will have no hesitation in booking another trip with Emerald and look forward to it being very soon.

This was our 4th river cruise. All of the others were excellent and this one fell well short in my opinion. Some of the crew were fantastic but others, particularly in the bar, were sometimes poor. The entertainment manager seemed excellent but unfortunately the entertainment was generally poor especially the last night which was awful and non existent. The food was good but too fancy. There was also one particular evening where the restaurant service was awful and very slow. When we enquired we were advised that there had been a problem (albeit with no further explanation) but perhaps they could have advised this earlier without our prompting.

Had the most wonderful time with Emerald

A very pleasant experience and very relaxing.

The cruise incorporating Holland and Belgium was great the highlight being Keukenhof Gardens. The other one was the opportunity to visit the cube houses in Rotterdam. The ship, crew, food etc was up to your usual high standard that we have been accustomed to on our many cruises with you.

5 star quality from a really friendly and professional team on the Douro cruise from Porto. Ready to try another one 😃

A great cruise. Accommodation, staff and food were excellent. The thermal rooms were nice (at a cost) but facilities were lacking- no direct access to toilets or changing rooms I am surprised that you allow smoking on board. Even though it's only permitted outside this is still unpleasant for guests and staff and poses a fire risk

A great week's cruise from Dubrovnik to Venice. The facilities on the ship were great - comfortable rooms, excellent meals and engaging activities. The main highlight was the staff, who were excellent; friendly and professional throughout. We booked a new trip whilst still onboard.

Really good cruise food did let it down as not varied enough serving pork for both the lunch and dinner at night No snacks in the evening Yes great cruise but would not of paid full price
