Everything excellent on the Douro river cruise. Great: Service, Scenery, Excursions, Food, Wine & Port! Fantastic staff - nothing too much trouble. Our 4th river cruise with Emerald says it all.

Emerald Cruise ships are lovely. The facilities are great and the trips are always worthwhile.

Effective services on the ships but the administration offices can be a nightmare trying to sort things out at times

Fom start to finish you are simply looked after and cared for. Once your bags come off the plane and you meet your Emerald contact, the next time you see your bags they are in your cabin on the ship.Everyone On board nothing is a problem. Everyone knows you by next morning almost to what your drink is at the bar. No time to be bored - always something happening to join in (or not, as it suits you). Superb company. We've done four cruises with them now and we're running out of rivers!!

Amazing crew who were so kind and attentive. Excellent food, wine and service. Lovely boat and cabin.

We love cruising with Emerald. Better than others we have sailed with. We have done 10+ now and enjoyed them all. Emerald look after us really well. All the included excursions are great.

Managing alternative tours and activities when river levels curtailed cruising

It is almost impossible to find any faults

Not sufficient tenders, left standing at the dock. Excursions not great in fact they were like carnival or Norwegian. Food not great. Overall very average for the price

Enjoyable from beginning to end. We enjoyed the cruise on the Danube last year so much that we are just back from another, this time on the Rhine and Mosel. Difficult to pick out any particular items, but I'd compliment the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, and the overall attention to detail.

No arrangements were made on the last day of our cruise despite being promise d that arrangements would be made for us to spend time on the island rather than hours at the airport Spoilt the holiday and nobody cared. We will not cruise again MP

Rhone Cruise 19th August 2023 We cruised down The Rhone from Lyon. Cabin was good and the staff very efficient and friendly. Lack of information pre cruise re the number of bridges across the river which meant the top deck couldn’t be accessed for much of the cruise. Very disappointing food which should have featured mainly French cuisine. The fish without exception was frozen from the Southern Hemisphere and very poor quality. The chef explained it was company policy to purchase frozen fish from there. Why would a cruise line lower its standards to save money like this. For that reason I won’t be cruising with you again.

Cruise was great, as expected, with good company and excursions, as far as it went. Unfortunately we caught Covid and were hospitalized for six days, missing the last three days of the cruise, and had to be brought home by our son, but cruise staff packed all our stuff and had it sent to the hospital for us.

All crew and staff did their utmost to make our holiday an enjoyable experience. I have food intolerances and felt I was extremely well looked after. Gentle walker groups a great innovation

Everything worked

Our previous Emerald Cruises I have given them 5 stars but the Danube trip I found a bit frenetic and less relaxing. However as ever the food was delicious, the accommodation was clean and comfortable and the staff warm and friendly. Special mention to our Entertainment Officer Noel who was so talented and such an asset to Emerald cruises.

We completed post (Lyon to Marseille promoted) cruise questionnaire summarising or positive experiences, though overall dissatisfaction with our experience. Please refer to it and our follow ups with both Emerald and Hays.

The arrangements were excellent and a local guides were knowlegable and efficient. The food and accomdation on the vessel were excellent.

Excellent service from all staff onboard especially in the dining room. Cabins are very comfortable and the housekeeping is first class. Food is varied and always well prepared. Dining and Bar areas are always clean. All the excursions are well orginised. I have been on 12 Emerald Cruises all on European rivers, everyone of these has been well orginised from flights to transfers to an overall feeling of being cared for.
