Found Donald Russell to be a marvellous company to deal with. Very helpful when additional information was required. The food in whatever form that might take is superb.

Donald Russell’s chateaubriand is a beef experience to die for. Cooked either rare or medium rare and then served with a fine red wine and you’re in heaven.

The quality at Donald Russell is second to none. Their prices remain competitive so have enabled me to continue to enjoy most of the food I love, The delivery service is always on time although through no fault of Donald Russell some of the couriers are less than good. Overall Excellent all round experience and easy to communicate with. Thank you Donald Russell.

I love Donald Russell. We don’t go anywhere else for our meat. It’s such good quality you can get some really good deals and we have been shopping with them for a number of years now. They do the best pork Lorne sausages and their steaks are amazing. Delivery is always quick if I have ever had to deal with customers they have always been helpful. Can’t fault this company.

The items I have bought over the years have been of excellent quality. I love that products are packed individually it makes life easier and no wastage. I am very sad that they don’t have the kippers anymore they were the best ever. I hope that they will always have the calf’s liver and the wonderful sausage rolls. I don’t have a large deep freezer so I have to resist getting carried away when ordering when such enticing items are available.

Great website and photos of produce match what I ordered and subsequently received. The packaging was excellent but I do wonder if I need a separate cardboard package for each steak. I would be happy to have them all together as this increases packing, which may not always be recycled and also must add to cost. Also I spent £106 but only noticed after I had completed my order that if I had added a code I would have received some beef stew cuts free. Perhaps it would be good customer relations to just have added that and let me know I had qualified for it by the amount I had spent.

I have had a few orders from Donald Russell now and they have all been excellent. Beautiful meat, easy to cook and delicious to eat, brilliant customer service and choice of delivery dates.

In general usually satisfied with Donald Russell products. Always take steaks from there and some prepared dishes, the own brand curries are good but not too sure about the Kumar range, meats tend to be dry. Where there is a problem is with their delivery partners! They let Donald Russell down by failing them. I have had cause to telephone DR on several occasions for not just late delivery on the selected day but no delivery at all. One was so late, by more than one day, I had to dispose of the contents as they had all defrosted. I don't want apologies nor a chateaubriand credit to my account. I want, as originally experienced, is the same quality but delivered on schedule. I have suggested, recommended and just about pleaded with DR to take their delivery partner to task or even change them.

As usual everything is good quality. Bought the chateaubriand and have never had this before. Looks a good cut of meat and although there are different ways to cook this cut I am fancying trying it in the slow cooker with shallots and gravy, maybe some veg, time will tell. Also bought mince which never disappoints, finished off with a selection of cheesecakes which also are usually very nice.

A long time customer of Donald Russell (DR) and I really like their food. But I will never place an order with them again. DR use DHL as their courier to deliver to our home in Berkshire. DHL often advise on a 2-3 hour delivery slot, though sometimes the box is just left at the door so you have to keep an eye out. But yesterday DHL gave me a 10 hour delivery slot starting at 10am and ending at 8pm. I watched on the app as the driver made his way through 150 deliveries (I was number 143). By the time delivery 91 was reached the app stopped working. I assume so did the driver. When I complained at 8.10pm that I no longer wanted a delivery of frozen food that has been inside a hot smelly DHL lorry all day (maybe longer), I received a message from DHL at 8.33pm saying they tried to deliver my order but they could not get access to my home. This is a complete lie, as my ring doorbell could verify. I did use bad language because this disgusting company pushed me to my limits with their lies and BS. DR couldn't care less - just spouting a load of scottish sorry nonsense. DHL certainly couldn't care less and I am sure their drivers all took a piece of my order home with them. Don't give money to either of these companies - they don't care and they don't deserve it. And their response is a Scottish Folk Tale - the resolution was a refund that will take 3 days to be back on my debit card, whilst I waited 5 days for an order never to be received. Go back to sleep.

Recently ordered sirloin steaks bacon and packs of sausage. Steaks and bacon ok but very disappointed with sausage the skins are very thick. A

We've had presents from Donald Russell and were delighted with a recent order we made ourselves. The steak is very good and they seem to changed their packaging to make it more environmentally friendly, which is welcome too. Great quality produce. Good value you in sales and if you use as a 'special treat' purchase.
