Always great quality plenty of choices well packed to keep frozen.

Used DR for some years and I must admit that I do find it a bit expensive for some items, particularly if you have to pay delivery. As we are only a couple we do not order a lot at one time so delivery can be a problem. However we will continue to order from DR But mainly have to go for special offers. Quality is always good.

I have always been delighted with their products. A good selection, easy website, simply payment, choose a date for delivery & "bam" shopping done. I like the pack sizes & labels: makes freezing so easy & the quality is good. I cannot comment on the pre-cooked meat products but the Christmas mince pies are 2nd to none, could eat these all year long!!!

Great food, very fresh and well packed

The meat is always of a very high standard: full of flavour. We also love the alpine fries and potato patties. The goods are always well packed so they arrive in excellent condition.

The chateaubriand was magnificent, as usual, and well worth the money. I always look for the duck confit on offer as it is delicious, and so easy to prepare.

What great quality products from this company it always arrives in first class condition, the variety of products will satisfy most people's wants we love the steak burgers really great quality and taste as is the currys full.of flavour we only buy these from Donald Russell for the great taste there are lots more on offer and good value.

Excellent quality meat

The products are excellent. The attention to order and dispatch detail is a big letdown. I ordered two Christmas gift packages well ahead of schedule: one for Wiltshire on October 4, one for Aberdeenshire on October 10. I specified the two appropriate delivery days in mid-December to account for the recipients' holidays. Early in December, a confirmation note from the courier told me that the Wiltshire package would be delivered on schedule the following day. The problem was that the following day was supposed to be the Aberdeenshire delivery day. The Wiltshire people would not be back from holiday for another week. I checked my order confirmation. My instructions had been clear and accurate. It was evident that someone in Russell's dispatch had mixed up the two delivery dates, perhaps because the two orders had similar order numbers. I called Russell to explain their mistake and to get it put right. The attitude of the woman I spoke to was dreadful; as if their dispatch mix-up was MY fault. "Well," she said, "we'll call it back but you know it's just going to go to waste now (sigh)." It was put right eventually and recipients were wowed by their gifts, but somebody needs schooling in how to apologise politely for a company blunder. Everyone makes mistakes, but not every company tries to blame the customer for it.

Good food and great service thanks

I’m a regular customer of Donald Russell, my favourite buys are the steak mince and lasagne, though I do purchase other items. One thing that stands out that I bought recently was “rump roast” it was delicious.

Bought 50 day aged steak. I thought it would be melt in the mouth. Unfortunately exceptionally tough. Cooked med rare And sous vide. Worst steak I’ve ever had . Have used DR for over 25 years.

Time and time again they deliver the best quality meats money can buy. Some can seem a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Chef’s prepared meals (curries and moussaka) are also excellent and priced no different to the local takeaway. Would recommend to anyone who likes to try different cuts of meat or anyone who appreciates good quality produce.

It's just their products, they are excellent. Good selection. Whether it be meat, poultry or fish. Vegetables as well are all excellent. You might pay a bit more than supermarket prices but at least you know you are getting what you pay for. I do have to wait and save for a delivery but I know I can expect good products.
