Get all my meat from Donald Russell and wouldn't go back to buying it from a high street butcher. The quality of the meat from Donald Russell is outstanding.

I've placed many orders with Donald Russell over the years and have never had any complaints. The meat is excellent quality and, though not cheap, is fair value in my opinion, especially if you take advantage of their regular offers. I can't comment on their prepared items like pies etc because I prefer to make these myself, but the meat is very good. I've only once had to contact customer services, because I needed to change a delivery date, and they were extremely pleasant and helpful.

This company is superb. I have been ordering from them for 20 years. The quality and ingredients are excellent. The meat and fish are normally met with comments from my family along the lines of “best I’ve ever had” or “better than a restaurant”. The ingredients are chef-standard and even the ready meals are far superior to supermarket equivalents. The customer service is quick, polite and efficient. I have had one complaint in 20 years (over a late order) which was very rapidly and efficiently resolved.

When there are deals I try to buy as much as I can. The quality is always amazing and quick delivery.

Still munching through the various items bought and haven't been disappointed yet. Will definitely order again, loved the sausage rolls but in fairness the Tiramasu wasn't bad either.

Had several orders from Donald Russell now, everyone has been top quality. Makes meal planning so much easier. Try the Lamb Wellington, it’s delicious!

Have ordered a range of products over the years and quite simply every item has been excellent. The quality is second to none and there is never even a mouthful left on the plate.

Just received my first order of pies and ready meals. Big mistake as I usually use rendalls Online in Scotland I thought I'd try somewhere else for a change and they photograph their ready meals very well. Disgusting the steak and ale pie was all gravy and very sweet no chunks of meat whatsoever Just little chopped up pieces. The shepherd's pie was like a tesco meal. Runny mash and again the mince was sweet with some kind of herbs and lacking in meat content. I'm gutted I wasted 150 pounds on a month's worth of food I'm not going to enjoy. Either people have strange taste buds to leave such great reviews or they are used to cr@@p. Terrible never again the website is a fraud.

This was my first order, never again telephoned customer service as soon as I opened the box and realised something was wrong. I have never seen such small Barnsley chops and was not a chop but a steak. Pork very fatty and the bacon looked like it was all the small end pieces that are left after slicing. Spoke to customer service they are the worst I have ever dealt with. Yes I have received a full refund but they do not deserve anyone's custom.

I have bought meat from D R for over twenty years but recently the quality is not what it once was. The motivation for this post was the amount of bone and gristle in some sausages. Less from DR and more from Dukes Hill and Farmison in future for me. I note your reply. Many years ago, after leaving an adverse comment on FeeFo about the then new lorne slice product, I received a call from a DR 'chef' who robustly told me that I had got things wrong so I will not be telephoning you.
