    Truly APPALLING 'service'!!!!!

    UPDATE: I didn't think it was possible for DLG's 'service' to get any worse - how wrong was I ?!!! Since leaving my original review (and receiving a generic platitude in response) everything has plummeted downhill. Despite their protestations, they simply don't care about their customers - oh wait, they're not actually their customers, we are the poor unsuspecting victims who are customers of insurance companies. Whilst none of us want to have to buy insurance, sadly, doing so is a necessity - and when we need to make a claim, it's because we need help, no more stress! I would STRONGLY SUGGEST BEFORE TAKING OUT INSURANCE, CHECK WHO THE COMPANY USES for legal assistance (in my case it was Direct Line) and if it's DLG - CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY. The pain isn't worth saving a few quid for! DLG have been 'dealing' with my personal injury claim since July 2020. It's currently the end of February 2025 and it still hasn't been resolved! The first case handler they appointed couldn't spell and knew nothing about correct grammar. The second disappeared without explanation and I found myself with a third. All three have something in common: They fail to respond to emails in a timely manner. They repeatedly send letters with typos in them. They fail to read correspondence properly and their responses are therefore inaccurate. They repeatedly ask questions I've already supplied the answers to. The whole experience has been terminally frustrating and very stressful. I actually don't believe they are acting in my best interests but their bill to the court is going to be approximately double my eventual payout! DLG is the legal arm of Direct Line Group and as a result of this appalling experience, I have taken my business away from Direct Line, after being a loyal customer for some 30 years. I made a formal complaint and got a paltry offer of compensation - I suppose what one might expect when a company investigates itself - so I will be taking my case to the Ombudsman.

    Deon Basson dealt with my claim it did quite a while as these cases can drag on but I would like to thank him for all of his hard work and desire to get the settlement fighter that was best suitable for me. I appreciate his advice and expertise on the matter and I would say he is an absolute credit to your company.

    DLG legal

    DLG Avoid do not use this company for over a year now ,I’ve been trying to do my claim for my car crash and loss of earnings with the other party claiming full responsibility for the accident I was passed to 3 to 4 different people and every time the paperwork disappeared on my last attempt I was asked to hand the paperwork to them again which I did and they lost it. And I have not received a penny of my claim and made it feel like I was a criminal. With this, I have all the evidence to back up my claim. And did not receive a penny.

    Maninder is an asset!

    The only reason I am leaving this review is purely based on service from Maninder. She is honestly an asset to DLG. She took over my case and kept in communication with me at all times. Anytime I reached out she got back to me. She was professional and compassionate. As a regional manager in retail I understand how important customer service is and I was super impressed with Maninder. I am not one to leave reviews unless they are deserved.     Great experience with Claire Hornshaw

    DLG managed my insurance claim after a car accident, as soon as I was referred to them I had a phone call with my solicitor Claire Hornshaw. Claire was fantastic from start to finish, she answered any questions I had, kept me updated on the progress of the claim and arranged medical appointments as needed. I would highly recommend.

    Excellent service from Lucy Flynn in my car accident follow-up

    Following a car accident DLG managed my insurance claim. The whole legal process seemed to take forever, and was passed through the hands of several different claims handlers in DLG until the solicitor Lucy Flynn took over my case. As soon as Lucy took over my case, things started happening. She kept me updated on progress, organised medical specialists appointments as required and made things happen. I am very grateful to Lucy Flynn for her help and her stringent management of my case, which she resolved in a timely manner.

    DLG recently helped me with a personal injury claim and what can i say from start to finish they have been nothing but professional. Claire Hornshaw was dealing with my claim she kept me updated regularly without me having to chase her.     Personal service

    I had a good experience with DLG going through the process of establishing liabilit fo a car accident that wasn't my fault. My handler, Jo Booth was fantastic.     My Claims Handler, Siobhan, has been very supportive all the way through a difficult claim. The other side have been shocking and she has always done her best to help me.
