Worst customer service I have ever received. After making my complaint on your liquor store taking alcohol off the shelves. Due to a conflict that does not have anything to do with us overseas, The employee said my complaint will not be noted or passed on. So goodbye Dan Murphys for the poor customer service. I was noting my unhappiness that u would involve yourself in this conflict that u clearly know not alot about. And was still going to support you as a customer. Due to the employer not letting me be heard as a customer, because all veiws are important all customers are important you have just lost our business.

Dan Murphy's Midland- unless I am absolutely misguided , there is in WA at the moment a requirement to prove vaccination status prior to entry as per the WA Covid compliance ( Both venues and patrons have a shared responsibility when it comes to proof of vaccination, with venues required to ensure that each patron must produce evidence of their vaccination status and take reasonable steps to ensure patrons do not enter the premises without producing evidence of their vaccination ) with the emphasis on Do Not Enter. Dan Murphy manager on the day Jo advised that's it management policy to allow for customers to enter wander around make their choice and then show their vaccination status on the way out. So I guess that Dan Murphy now makes the guidelines as to COVID compliance, and not the Government I really don't get that if we have to comply at every other venue that sells alcohol before entry why possibly they think they have the ability to side step that.... one rule for us one rule for them?

Terrible app. Ordered beer to be delivered within two hours but waited.Not delivered looked at app showed 2-4 days.Changed to 2 hr delivery but did same and now too late for delivery

I ordered a $15 delivery for an expensive amount of wine 2 days ago. It did not arrive and the online tracking showed that it was packed. We stayed at home for the 2 hour period. There was no email or SMS to advise that it was not arriving I tried to ring today but it is not possible to speak with a person. My partner tried earlier and used the bot and was told it was due to COVID that it couldn't be delivered. We are in WA! When I communicated with the bot I was told that the Sherpa should have sent me an SMS. That did not happen. This is the worst service I have ever experienced

Ordered a $85 Xmas gift for family in Victoria on 21/12. Email confirmation said it would take 2-4days. Fast fwd 7/1 and second delivery attempt courier DOES NOT CALL MOBILE nor ring the doorbell DESPITE family being home! What is going on with this incompetence? Just call the mobile number if you can't find the property!

At the Greenhills, NSW store I witnessed an English accented Manager, laughing and giggling with a red-headed female employee,(who's pants needed to be pulled up), for the best part of 20 minutes. I was surprised no-one suggested they 'get a room'.

I ordered 3 cases of beer 7 days ago and they have just been delivered to my door. I live in Sarina qld. I read the reviews after I ordered the beer and was expecting a long wait as the site said delivery time was between 14 to 23 days. THANK YOU Dan Murphy's. I will order again when you have my beer on special again.

Dan Murphys customer service appears to have fallen off a cliff. Until mid 2020 I had no dramas at all. Since then it's been non-stop problems. This is particularly the case with deliveries. Based on the awful reviews left by others here, my recent delivery experiences now appear to be typical for Dan Murphys customers. I always choose the $15 2-hour delivery promise and on each occasion, they've failed to deliver within the time frame. On one occasion, the delivery was delayed until next day with no refund or apology. On another, the delivery guy said no one was at home when we were (we suspect he was under pressure on his run and made no effort to check). I finally managed to contact someone and I informed them we were going out, so I asked for the delivery guy to come back and leave the alcohol on our front porch. This was refused because someone over 18 had to receive the items on the basis the alcohol were 'security items', which is ridiculous given that (i) wine and beer are not security items and (ii) leaving alcohol on the front porch of a house under the clear, written direction of the adult owner is 100% legal. On another occasion, after their contractor Jimmy Brings failed to deliver and then promising to ensure delivery the next day and even booking in a time with me, I received a text saying they could no longer deliver and I had to go and pick the delivery up! My local store is 2kms away and they couldn't even bother delivering after their failure. Again, zero apologies ever given. These incidents gave all happened post Nov 2020. I keep getting texts from DM whining about how tough their delivery schedule is, which just proves to me that DM knows full well that their delivery guarantees aren't genuine. Therefore it seems DM remains more than happy to take $15 from customers even though they know there is a risk they can't deliver on their 2 hour delivery promise. That's a pretty blatant breach of trust, if not the law. Worse, Dan Murphys make it very hard to complain. They have a ridiculous 'bot' which places you in a long queue. You can't contact a store by phone or email. It seems set up to frustrate customers so much that they give up. The clear message from DM is 'we don't give a damn'. I've spent $thousands on DM over just the last 3 years and am a DM 'member'. It's beyond my comprehension why DM would want to lose customers like me in this way. Like I said at the start, something seems to have gone wrong from mid 2020. I note the positive reviews here seem to be before then. Appalling. Maybe DM doesn't care because they're so big. Fine but they've lost us and we are switching to another booze retailer for the foreseeable future.

I bought $309 bottle of alcohol as a gift and she received $58 bottle of vodka. No reply or no contact details that we can talk.

Dan Murphy's website gave me no option but to have my order delivered. An email sent the same day said that the order had been dispatched. Four days later there was no news on the delivery. Went through the same experience as everyone else; bot, waited in queue of 90 people to have 'chat' live, promised that delivery was slated for next day. No delivery! And therefore no Christmas presents to give relatives. 7 days afterwards I've received an email advising me that delivery will be tomorrow. I live less than 1 km away from a DM store so in future if I can't get it in-store then I won't be buying it from Dan Murphy's. Don't offer a delivery service if you can't deliver.

The website often freezes up. I invest good time and create a list of beer and wine, only to find the app freezes. So, I go online, and their website is stuck at the log-in. This happened so often over the past two years, that I believe Dan Murphy's does not care to fix the problem. If this were a bank, it would go out of business.

No delivery - too bad, too sad. Ordered and paid for delivery within 2 hours. No show. Bot useless and live chat had 48 people ahead of me. Call the store, voicemail directs me to the bit or live chat. Received a text to say the network was busy and they may not be able to deliver but I could collect

I had similar issues identified by other reviewers. 2 hour delivery requested. It has taken over 72 hours to be delivered. This was after over 3 or 4 online chats & call to courier. Many hours of waiting/frustration. Again on chat as surprise surprise some of the bottles I ordered have been swapped out for the same variety of grape wine but not the brand I ordered. The bottles they have included are cheaper than the ones I ordered. In good news I am now only 34 in the queue. Bad service, bad experience. They don’t deserve my money & won’t be getting it after this.

4 (FOUR) times I tried to order online, I click the product, $500 worth of champagne, I click DELIVERY, I click gift, and I type recipient and sender details as well as MESSAGE on the card, ALL in vain, as each time I get to DELIVERY METHOD and PAYMENT, but they remain unusable, can't click, can't fill in details, nothing. The assistant online, some bot I am sure, couldn't tell arthur from martha and keep saying do this do that, to no avail, asking me other irrelevant questions, what is MY address? Irrelevant in this scenario. NEVER AGAIN. THEN IT too just 2 mins to process the same order with First Choice Liquor, easy and simple and even cost $1 less overall. Dan Murphy, what a great irish Joke.

Ordered 7 gifts for Xmas for our customers. Only 2 have arrived, nobody notified me re: failure of 5 deliveries, no phone number, only live chat, nobody offered a refund. Complete mess of a company, I am still awaiting response to my support ticket, live chat team is totally useless, just complete scam.

Friday Dec 3 2021, l have successfully used the online ordering and pickup service from the Mosman store a number of tines before. I was hosting a small gathering and looked at my bar and decided to top up with a small but expensive order from the Mosman store. As I needed to prepare some nibbles and snacks l used the delivery within 2 hours facility, paying the extra $15. I received the order accepted and packed within 5 mins. 2 hours later and with no order delivered or any other communication from the store, l attempted to contact the store myself, only finding out that l could not, except using the bot chat facility. After finally getting on and typical response time of 2 mins between messages l was told the store is now closed and we are not delivering your order today, as they did not have a driver and lcould pick it up Saturday. I asked if the other store nearby and still open could make the delivery and told no, and that l can pick it up tomorrow. After trying to complain l was told that is all they would do or cancel my order or book another delivery time the next day. I explained l wanted it tonight and that if l had received a call that they could not deliver l could have gone to pick it up, and explained that l would not be home Saturday for a delivery. No real apology, in all nearly 45 mins on their ineffective chat designed so that the customer loses patience due to the amount of time taken and they hope you go away. I was told a manager would call me today, yet l sit here 18 hours later no call. Although l did receive a txt from them half apologising for not delivering yesterday, and come pick it up, only 17 hours after l ordered. I then tried to email a complaint to them only to find out l could not find an email address and had to go through the whole bot process again. I guess it says alot about how much Dan Murphy's care about their customers, when the only way to complain is via a platform such as this. It will be interesting to see if they even do read these posts about their non existant service. Never again.

Fawkner store terrible bad attitude from staff would not know customer service if it punched them between the eyes won't go back there

I ordered a case of six 1L bottles, I only received 5. And when I contacted live chat they told me the rest were on their way. Over 2 weeks later I emailed them and they told me I needed to send a photo of the box that was delivered before they could "help me further". Given the fact that I don't keep old boxes lying around my house, I was literally robbed out of $330. I've bought thousands of dollars worth of alcohol through Dan Murphy's over the years, but this will be my last order. EDIT: After reading my reviews they finally refunded me for the whole order including the bottle I received, which is nice of them and very appreciated. But won't be buying through them anymore as resolving delivery issues is too time consuming when they happen, which is admittedly rare, but not rare enough if you buy from them regularly. And the process can take days to weeks which I can't be bothered with. I'll just stick to my local bottleshop from now on
