Scam scam scam scam scam! Don't walk, run away from these people. They are guilty of deceptive business practices and they are being investigated by the Florida State attorney general and the FTC. The dot is about to shut them down along with violation of Florida's deceptive and unfair business practice act. They messed with the wrong person. I'll make it my life's mission to shut these people down.

Our interstate relocation was a breeze thanks to Coastal Moving Services. The staff showed up on schedule, packed everything safely, and showed great consideration for our house and possessions. Throughout the procedure, there was excellent communication, and the delivery was made on time. Not a single thing was broken. We will absolutely hire them again for future moves because it was truly a five-star experience.

SCAM!!!!!! I was deceived and didn't realize that I had to buy everything and handle everything on my own. They are merely loading your boxes onto a truck and delivering it to you. They intended to charge me $300 for two full-size box springs. About a week after I made the deposit and more than a month before my moving date, I chose to cancel my request because it was going to cost significantly more than what I was initially quoted, and it just wasn't worth it. I inquired about a refund of some kind, but they completely ignored me. They say whatever you want to hear, provide you with an attractive quote, and then once they have your deposit, they pile on a bunch of fees and continue to ignore you.

Please, for the love of all that is holy, do not contact--let alone hire--these unethical yahoos. The salespirate I spoke with had me give him a rundown of my house's inventory. I did so, noting exact specifications of several large items. For example, I gave measurements for two large, l-shaped corner desks and a large bookcase. When the quote came through, I saw that two 'desks medium' and one 'bookcase medium' had been recorded. The price was reasonable so I booked it. Fast-forward to pick-up time: the $4300 estimate had ballooned to $6500, and it was over $8000 at delivery. The reason, according to CMS was that the move volume was not accurately estimated -- for example, 'bookcase medium' means that the bookcase can't exceed 5' x 5', so it should not have been recorded as 'medium'. Did I have any way of knowing what 'medium' means in their system? No. Did they express any surprise or concern upon being made aware that the salespirate had made this same 'mistake' repeatedly? No. Did they even apologize? No. The knocked a few hundred dollars off the price, which will cover about 15% of the cost of the items they broke in transit. This company is so bad, that even the moving company they subbed the work out to -- yeah, CMS is just a broker; they just book the job, suck up the 20% upcharge, then totally wash their hands of you -- said that they were horrible. They are so bad that when I accidentally called a similarly named company trying to get some of these issues addressed, the guy told me, 'Yeah, that's Coastal Moving Service you're looking for. We get these calls several times I week. All I can say is, I'm sorry and good luck. That company must be the pits.' Yes, other moving guy, Coastal Moving Service is the pits. The pits of hell. Unless you fancy mental torture, being bilked out of your money, and having a bunch of stuff broken, avoid these guys like the plague.

Do not use!!!!! After a very detailed walk thru of my house they quoted and contracted me for an $11,000 long distance move. When the movers they booked showed up, they said it’ll be $25k!!! They said this company is such a scam and do this all the time. Customer serviced offered me nothing. I sent the movers home and have filed a fraudulent complaint with my bank to get my deposit back.

Update: Coastal and I resolved this issue. Initial Review: Coastal Moving Services completely misled me. After a full video walk-through where I clearly showed beds with box springs and headboards, my sales rep Victor assured me everything was included. But they only listed “bedframes” and later hit me with a $1,500 upcharge. I had to rent a separate U-Haul myself just to avoid even more surprise fees. Victor also guaranteed a Saturday delivery date in writing. One hour before pickup, I was told it wouldn’t arrive for three more days. When I brought this up, their customer service rep Briana was shockingly condescending. The tone she took with me was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced — completely dismissive, unprofessional, and bordering on hostile. I’ve never been treated that way by any company. It was insane. She pointed to the fine print and claimed nothing was ever guaranteed — ignoring the written proof I had from their own rep. Whether it’s breach of contract or gross misrepresentation, one thing is clear: they blamed me for their lies. Do not trust this company. They’re not just disorganized — they’re disrespectful and deceptive.

Costal moving services - Warning - Warning, this company is nothing more than a BROKER; they will steal you blind! These people tried to call and negotiate with me today and pretending like they didn't know what they did wrong. Some guy named rick or whatever TOOK $944.00 deposit from me, and I specially asked 2 times, "will you be moving our belongings. The answer was YES, on moving day some fat guy shows up from another company stole $2,831.75 and when they finally returned our belongings 6 MONTHS later; a bunch of stuff was stole and/or broken. These moving companies have no morals and try to rob you any way they can. Make sure you are VERY specific in your requirements. Ask for someone in person to your house or a zoom to review your belongings. Specifically note that they will move you and not broker you out and have it in writing!!!!! I was assigned Texas bone and joint by my family doctor about 4 months ago. My appointment entailed, "I thought" to review my x-ray's/ MRIs with an Ortho doctor. Once there the DOCTOR for lack of a better word says the issue isn't with your wrists - it's your neck. Fine, radiology took x-rays of my neck also. All I see is his fat ass walking away and I'm left there standing.

This company gave us a quote for our items after a brief and quite basic description of our belongings. We are moving from Seattle to Colorado. The movers showed at 6pm after we were given a ridiculous 9am-3pm window. They didn’t actually start moving our belongings until 7pm as the armoire we had listed and which was on the quote was “too big”. We went from 350 to 450 cf (apparently) and were charged an astounding $1.7K for 100cf. This company is a joke. I blame my partner for not doing the research prior to booking these jokers. Take your business elsewhere. These guys will only give you a headache and nickle & dime you—and we haven’t even gotten to the transportation portion yet. Who knows what other BS they’ll throw at us.
