Brightside Health has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Therapist Joyce is amazing
I had a very pleasent experience and will be booking again!
Compassionate and honest. It’s what I need to hear and I get to say what I need to say. Thank you Brightside caregivers.

Quick and easy communication! Following up was also good!
Contacted BrightSide when I was at my absolute lowest point in my life. I lost my dr. Had to withdraw from meds I was on for 30+ yrs and within 4 months I’m happy to say, I’m only taking 1 medication now and I haven’t felt this great EVER!!! Don’t get me wrong, there were trials and tribulations, it all worked out in the end and in a very short period of time. Kelli Soto deserves more accolades than I could ever give her!!! God sent her to me,!she is my guardian angel 👼
This site gas been a great help to me, it's easy and fast. It's user friendly and my doctor responds to me very quickly to any questions I have. In the beginning he went way above and beyond to make sure we were using the right pharmacy for medications prescribed. I will continue to use Brightside and have no complaints or concerns.
My MD and therapist have both been so personable and helpful. Very difficult to find outside of this type of platform.
Doc recorded a missed meeting even though I showed up, rescheduling is a pain in the ass. Not being able to prescribe stimulants (even though there’s a federal exemption until the end of the year) is annoying and the whole reason I sought help in the first place.
The process is easy and one of the most affordable options in the marketplace.
My doctor is knowledgeable, empathetic, and helpful. Plus, it's easy to get an appointment!
My therapist sent me into a tail spin by judging me... not sure if she was joking, but after saying it 4 times in a row... I believed her... she said my daughter doesn't like/love me.
I signed up to get a medical diagnosis for adult ADHD, that was the only reason I was looking for the service. I searched and found Brightside Health and selected that as my reason. I was charged for the month, which I was happy to pay. I was told at the end of my first session that they do no diagnose adult ADHD and that many people say they have ADHD to get the medicine. I felt rather mislead or misunderstood because I learned at the end of my appointment that they didn't seem to be able to evaluate me. I submitted a customer service complaint and explained the situation. The response I receieved several days later was in no way related to my concern or to what happened. They said they were sorry it took so long to get back to me and gave me information about whether Brightside would be a good fit for me. Very poor experience......
Brightside Health has never let me down when it comes to my mental health or questions about billing they are definitely for me !!! 👍 I recommend them 10 out of 10
On time no wait . Listens to my concerns
I'm also a mental health therapist. I say stay as far away as possible!!! My therapist never called me by my name. Really, don't you care who I am? I spoke about why I wanted counseling. Never once did she validate my concerns. I felt like I was talking to a blank wall. When I said I wasn't motivated to do ongoing training in my profession, her only suggestion was that I do more training in trauma therapy. She did this even though I told her I have extensive training in that area. It was the worst therapist I've ever met with. In fact I'm filling a complaint with the licensing board. Stay away!!! Oh, I have to add one of the major reasons I signed up for the service was to get medication for anxiety, panic disorder, and PTSD. i also have extreme insomnia. I stated all of this when I completed the forms requesting therapy and psychological services. The NP told me she could not give me non-narcotic medications to treat any of this. Trying to get a "controlled substance" for diagnosable and chronic mental health issues in this day and age of "we can't prescribe that" is a total nightmare. If a qualified shrink can't prescribe that, I have to know who can? I thought that was a major purpose for seeing a shrink for a verifiable diagnosis. I don't know where to go from here. I can't imagine I'm the only one who is searching for answers.
Ryan Leslie is always on time. Discusses my needs and any difficulties I am having, and adjusts medication according to my current Mental Heath status. Also, he is very empathetic and seems very informative. I would recommend Brightside to others. Ty for your great service!
Great service!
I filled out an online questionnaire listing my symptoms, current medications (which includes xanax) and that I had recently moved to FL from another state and have not been able to get into see a new doctor since my move, therefore cannot get a refill on xanax. They said Yes! We can help you, let's schedule an appt. So I did and paid $159 out of pocket only for a nurse to get on the meeting to tell me they don't prescribe controlled substances. She told me to contact support and ask for a refund since we did not complete the visit. Customer Service gave the canned "it's our policy...." and then proceeded to tell me they would not refund me the $159. I understand policies very well as I work with them in my job everyday; however, I ALSO look at the human aspect of the situation and make exceptions to the rules. What a waste of time and money! I only made the appointment after they sounded my inbox with 10 emails begging me to give them a try!
Easy to set up appointments with the app and and the providers were both very helpful .
I love my psychiatrist, Autumn is empathic, kind and willing to listen. It took several months to find a good medication and dosing as expected. I’m far better than when I started with bright side. The downside, bright side doesn’t ask, they demand follow ups with not only medication prescribing but counseling by therapists without prescription writing ability. They are very threatening and overbearing in their sales approach. They remind me of used car salesmen. The limitations they place on the maintenance prescriptions and the online threats have me discouraged to continued service. I already have my maintenance prescriptions issued yearly by my general practitioner. Not held hostage by bright side to 30 days.
Great experience
Happy with psychiatric nurse. Counseling was ok. Help desk difficult to get when needed.
