Thorough and convenient

I just received an email from Brightside stating they are not recogizing the Employee Assistance Program which supposed to have 5 sessions a year. They are inviting me to pay instead (directly or copay) or cancel my account. I have lost all my remining sessions and still have to pay a copayment! I have their email as a proof.

I spoke to a counselor for 90 minutes. She was uneducated. She made me feel worse than I'd felt in months. She didn't listen to a thing I said. She belittled and made light of my life choices. She proceeded to prescribe me a medication where I had 7 of the 10 things in the "These people should not take this medication list". The medication was also brand new and made no sense for my symptoms. Upon researching it, it became clear this woman was most likely getting kickbacks for prescribing this specific medication.

The combo of the lessons and a kind and thoughtful therapist have been just what I needed. Also, I was able to get my first appointment with a psychiatrist within 48 hours, in person in my area was going to take over a month. I would highly recommend Brightside!

Feeling heard

Worst experience ever! Had my first appointment all the things she was try to give me I have already tried and didn't work. I asked for part of my money back they said they couldn't. I asked them to cancel my account. Heard nothing until they charged me this month. I again asked for a refund and for them to cancel my account. They said they can't refund me. I haven't used there services and have all the emails asking them to cancel and refund me.

My provider is literally a message away and gets back to me quickly no matter what day of the week it is.

My clinician has been fantastic. I really appreciate the practical (we do what works) approach to therapy. I’ve also had no issues with the Brightside website. The app, however, has not been very reliable usually forcing me to close and restart it after hanging during a step such as check-in. I have the app installed on three different devices so I’m sure it’s not device specific.

This software is a lifesaver, literally. I needed medication immediately and I was able to make an appointment with one of the providers and get it within days. The provider is friendly, to the point and knowledgeable with medication. When I reach out with concerns or questions, my provider responds within 24 hours. I cannot say anything about the therapy aspect, I have not used it. I have been using this service for all of my medication needs for almost a year and I don’t know what I would do without it.

Not affordable

The therapist was great! Rebecca showed empathy and concern. She allowed me to work at my pace and talked through the issues with me. Which is exactly what I needed. I appreciate her diligence and patience. She is relatable, and offers great ideas.

Dr Frost is awesome. That is all.

The therapy experience, which included computer based lessons, was great at helping me understand my emotions.

Easy to make an appointment great provider and when my check in changed quite a bit the provider requested an appointment with me right away

Both my therapist and my doctor are helpful and professional.
