I received a call regarding my contract with Bord Gais recently and the issue was dealt with in a very timely manner. It was great to have this issue resolved in a couple of minutes and in a very professional way.
Not sure if anyone else has had the dreadful pleasure of dealing with Sonny in customer service. A customer should not have to ask over 15 times for a complaint ticket to be raised so we can discuss in more detail our issues with our account. Over 15 attempts later in the one conversation I received a complaint number. I requested a full SAR also. Three times i asked but he just hung up on me!!
Everything is so clear on on-line account, prices are also very competitive and also great rewards every week.
I tried to contact them as my contract expired. I could not get anyone to answer. Next bill went from 32 cents per Kw to 51,5cents. Rip off NEVER AGAIN.
I have never had any issues with Bord Gáis the info is easy to see and it is possible to review plans and know when I am out of contract

I have contacted bord gais on numerous occasions since last July to get a 2 monthly bill. I was told they couldn't get readings from my smart meter, so I had a new one installed, of which they were informed. 7 months later I am still not receiving bills. The staff were extremely rude and hung up on me. I am still on contract but am seriously thinking of taking the loss to move. Perhaps I should withhold payment the way they withhold bills.
I have been a customer for a few years and while nowadays there is no 'loyalty' as there was apparently before, I have found Bord Gais a very good company to deal with, their online presence is user-friendly and their CS staff are excellent.
I am a long time customer and I have NEVER BEEN OFFERED ANY LOYALTY OFFERS IN DISCOUNT RATE FOR MY BORD GAIS ACCOUNT, 31 Ringmahon Avenue, Mahon, Blackrock, Cork T12 NX5E. ELECTRIC IRELAND HAVE AWARDED ME A GREAT DEAL FOR BEING WITH THEM FOR A LONG TIME, WHY CAN’T BORD GAIS OFFER LOYALTY CUSTOMER THE SAME???? With the Cost of Living Crisis it would be great and help me out as I am on a INVALIDITY PENSION AND TIMES ARE REALLY HARD FOR ME.

Awful service from Bard Gais re the installation of solar panels. Miss truths told during the initial sales call, miscommunication, drawn out process (many emails back and forth) surveys calling then plans change when the installers called (the installation itself was about the only thing that was done correctly) Complements to the installers who were Wizer based in Cork. I should just have dealt with them directly. The only reason I was sticking to Bord Gais was the guarantee in the future. Anyway, work was completed back in November still waiting on my grant from SEAI. There was so much back and forth as documents were not completed correctly by Bord Gais the first time or the second time. You also have to arrange your own BER assessor and pay for it. My advice is way too much hassle dealing with them.
