I switched my gas and electricity from Bórd Gais to Yuno Energy but subsequently received an email from Bórd Gais offering me a 33% discount on gas and electricity if I returned, so I did. Since then, I've had ongoing issues: the discount wasn't applied despite many calls, and my latest bill still doesn't reflect it. My most recent call today ended abruptly after a long wait where the customer service agent promised to speak to "her Manager". Overall, a frustrating experience. I would advise anyone considering Bórd Gais to be cautious. UPDATE: I was contacted by Josephine, a very nice customer service manager, who assured me that my issue would be resolved, and it was. Samantha contacted me and explained that there was an IT issue and they would be putting in measures to prevent recurrence of the issue.

The Bord Gais 365 Boiler service plan is excellent. Its easy to book on line, pay online & the service on the ground is timely & very professional. It's also very good value for peace of mind with the accompanying 365 all year round service & repair plan. A totally no brainer support as this is an annual outlay. I reccomend this service unreservedly.

The staff on the phone and in writing seem to be friendly and professional- however, I’m fairly IT literate and their website isn’t great. It transpired that my gas had been out of contract for a period of about six months resulting in no discount and enormous bill- as I have always had gas and electricity together with same contractor and changed them at the same time, it was illogical-when I queried/complained they claimed first they couldn’t locate relevant call and then that I had signed up on website for electricity only. This is not what I believe happened, but what can I do! Huge bill, direct debit means no funds in account, so have had to turn off gas despite it being nippy. I would advise to steer clear, find an alternative provider - but if you must - record everything.

Awful service!!! been promised someone would call me back and when they never do I ring again and multiple times been giving the run around for one person to another. This is my 5th time ringing so I will be taking my business elsewhere now!!
