Stay away from this slow acting company. On 1st of July I’ve setup an account online to shift from previous tenant pre-paid electricity supply. And few days later we’ve been cut off the electricity. I’ve called the support on 5th of July we did the whole new setup account, next day I’ve decided to check if everything is fine and lady on the phone didn’t find our account again.. on 9th within 10min I’ve setup account with Yuno and happy days, they immediately take us on board. But on the 23 of July this beautiful BG company decided to setup our account.. 23 days after the initial request.. good luck guys with your speed and customer support specialists. Stay away from them
Very helpful engineer
I was with bord gais as it was the cheapest rate going at the time. I had solar panels installed and my metre started to go backwards. Each time I tried to submit a reading, bord gais would ignore it and send out an estimated bill. I was told I had to submit it to the ESB and it would be updated. They kept ignoring my actual reading, even with the ESB sending them in on my behalf. When my contract was up I was leaving bord gais, contacted the ESB, kept every corresponding messages. After 6 weeks of ringing, emailing and arguing with a different person everything I was told I would get close to €500 back. It took them another month to issue me my money and I demanded a paper receipt. I received my paper receipt today, nearly a year after I closed my account. They have no respect for their customers and send out over estimated bills.
very knowledgeable plumber with good advice, spent a lot of time cleaning the boiler, very happy with the work and communication, will use again.

Ease of use ,i just signed up set up my direct debit and completely forget about it , price per unit could be better though so i hope it falls soon , also i switched from Electric ireland who give free electricity all sunday . Board gas only do it for a fraction of the day , considering what it costs Board Gas to supply electricity on a sunday i believe the free hours should be extended

I WOULD GIVE MINUS 1 IF POSSIBLE This has to be one of the worst company's with the worst customer service I’ve come across in my life! We purchased our home in April and set up our account's for prepay gas and electricity. There was gas arrears of over €500 from previous tenants. After months them arrears were finally cleared. Bord gais continue to take a percentage of my top ups towards debt but have no answer as to how/why I have an email thread and numerous phone calls dating back to April. I’ve provided all information they asked for. I’ve confirmed my account details on several occasions and they continue to send me around in circles. I had to chase them for months for my account to even be fully set up on their side and now I’m wasting more time being given the runaround rather than answering my emails and resolving the issue. They promised me multiple call backs and no calls were received. The customer service representatives have no answers to the questions we ask and answer with "maybe this is why" or "this could be the reason". Every email is answered by a different representative, no continuity. We have been asked to provide our last "bill amount" and "last payment method" even though we have prepay meters. AVOID AT ALL COST
Ease of use and convenient
The main problem is that the contracted prices are not standing as they meant to be,but increased on many occasions for both - electricity and gas supply! All these is very frustrating, especially if for long term and loyal customer like myself. Quite a good service afterall.
Not a customer but former employee, terrible treatment of staff after having to leave. Withholding documents from me causing me huge stress levels when already unwell.
The company service is confusing, manual, and stressful. I have to provide the number of the meters to the company every two months in order for my statement to be correct, and it feels like I'm paying for a service and providing it. I don't see any benefit to the Bord Gais Energy loyalty program. The "discount" on the theatre does not benefit people who are clients; I examined the price of the play without and with Bord Gais, and it is the same.

Not understanding why there is so much a difference on smart pricing. And also why the level payments are still high for the summer.
If you have a choice go somewhere else even if its bit more expensive. They do not work with you Rang them twice, waisted my time listening answer machine and then when switch to the agent they dropping the line
