The so called boiler service technician came and "serviced " the boiler that never had any issues, is 4 years old only, after he "serviced " , it started making bad noise while heating, i am actually afraid to heat the house, when contacted bord gais i was told it will be 250 e charge to fix what they broke , stay away from servicing your boiler through bord gais.
I like that I can monitor my usage on my smart meter plan. During the year I switched online to get a better deal. Now when I log into my account I have 2 Electricity and 2 gas accounts showing. One old and one new. I wanted to have them combined, but I was told that this can't be done - that's disappointing!!
BGE serviced my gas boiler - the on-line booking & payment process was straightforward. The confirmed appointment was subsequently changed by them to a later date (5 weeks later) which was annoying but at least it was only a service not a repair. The engineer arrived on-time, was informative, helpful and friendly - he raised the rating to 4 stars!

I joined the service plan and booked a service. A date and time frame for the service was selected and the service engineer called. Really easy and the engineer was really professional. Would definitely recommend it.
The customer service experience was incredibly frustrating. They promote rewards in the "My Rewards" section with promo codes that don't work, and instead of fixing the issue, they expect customers to contact Ticketmaster themselves to sort it out. It’s unreasonable to make customers jump through hoops for a reward that’s supposed to be a perk. The customer service agent was unhelpful and dismissive, insisting, "the codes are correct on our end," without offering any real solution. This level of service is truly disappointing and reflects poorly on the company.
Bord Gais needs to improve staff training… I signed up to them and the same day I rang and said I was staying with my current supplier and so cancel any move to them for electricity and gas. The staff member did half the job and I have been billed by them for a service I didn’t know I was getting from them… for gas. They blamed everyone except themselves… and from what I hear I am not the only one this has happened to. They are ridiculous and there is no way I would recommend them to anyone and I won’t be quiet about it either.
I've been with Bordgaisenergy I think around 4/5 years, contract due to run out Oct 24. My current discount is 25%. Their offer to renew my contract is 24% discount. I've never been behind on my bills TG. When a customer shows loyalty, there's no true reward. Very Very Disappointed in this company, better discounts with others. I'm now exploring.
I left a review about Bord Gáis a few weeks ago. They replied on your web site that they were disappointed to hear the bad stuff. They suggested I should contact their office to see what they could to help- empty promises and absolutely no word. Contact was made with me but the only thing they asked was had I a problem with my address. I have to say I laughed to myself. Bord Gáis match prices but never match their words

I had an appointment booked for between 12 and 5 last Tuesday. I rang customer service twice when it was getting late to be told that they had no way of contacting the engineer and couldn't confirm if he was coming or not. What a ridiculous system. He didn't arrive at all. He didn't phone with any excuse. Total bad manners and disgraceful customer service. I had taken a precious days holiday from work for this appointment. The customer care team have a very 'don't care' attitude. I won't ever use Bord Gais again for servicing. I will also warn my friends not to go near them. I still didn't get any explanation as to why he didn't arrive and why he didn't have the manners to phone me to explain.

Appalling company who repeatedly break the law by practicing aggressive doorstop selling techniques at people's homes. When asked not to return they return again and again, month after month, year after year (which is not legal). They intimidate the elderly, vulnerable and women living alone, salesmen will not take no for an answer, some refusing to show their ID when asked, instead demanding to speak to the homeowner (in the minds of Bord Gais employees women don't own houses and should be quizzed about who is currently in their home...?!). I would recommend never giving in to these predatory techniques as it only encourages them. Nobody should purchase from this company who have utter disdain for people in their community. (Don't bother replying telling me to email and report this, I have done repeatedly, which also leaves me in fear of retribution from your predatory staff who know where I live)
I set up the account, entered every detail, have the bills invoiced to me. And they won't discuss the account with me as they made an error setting it up and listed me as not on the account somehow. They refuse to help other than getting the account holder to contact them. Despite the fact it is my email and my phone number listed on the account. I genuinely cannot believe just how unfriendly and unhelpful they are.
