Selling items they don't have in stock

I ordered an item from this organization which mentioned July 10 as delivery - I've just spoken to these people and they have told me they don't have even the item in stock in Victoria so are advertising appliances they don't have and I now don't know when this item will be available or delivered in Victoria - they offered me the same item to be POSTED though I requested my old item of exactly the same product be collected for recycle so how is an Aust Post delivery going to achieve that - now I wait and watch for a "couple" of weeks until the item is in stock in Victoria. Very misleading and poor customer service should have gone retail.

Great to shop & deal with

We have now got several large household white-goods from Appliances Online. Have purchased via the website & on the phone when using their price matching offer. Really excellent to deal with. The delivery service is first rate keeping you up-to-date with the delivery status and arrival date/time. Plus taking away the old one is just great. In one case I had to make a warranty claim - again it was no hassle, excellent to deal with and they sorted the problem out for me. Highly recommended to deal with. We will do so again.

Buyer beware

We have purchased many products from AOL over the years, but the first time we come to a problem with a defective BBQ (non-working parts & overheating) the company avoids us and buck-passes to the wholesaler (who is also useless). Since the day of arrival we have asked for a refund and have gotten nowhere & is is now much clearer that so-called 'Australian Consumer protection' is largely useless. For example, read the recent ABC article "ACCC calls for stronger protection laws as more fires are being sparked by lithium-ion batteries" and more so on the lack of consumer protection and avoidance by both retaile and wholesaler. This is exaclty our experience with AOL. Buyer beware. There is no support here.

Incompetent installers, bad communications

I tried to buy an induction cooktop with installation. They said they could do installation, and sent around a tradie to quote. When I ordered the cooktop with installation, they just sent a delivery driver. Then finally when they sent around an installer, they said they couldn't do it for the quoted cost. What is the point of paying someone to come around for a quote only to have them say they can't do it for that price? I had to stay home all day 3 times, and I still don't have a new cooktop. I won't be shopping with them again.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Delivery was well more than 1hr late. They delivered the wrong fridge, saying that the manufacturer did not update their website. I am waiting for feedback since four hours now. No one is informed about anything when you send them emails. What a NIGHTMARE.

Inital great service that goes down hill quickly...

I had an inital great service when ordering my product over the phone from a very helpfull Annicellita. But it went down hill from there. I took an unpaid day off work to wait for the delivery, It didnt show up, despite ordering the product two days ago. No call was made to advise they would not be making their advised time frame, If they at least called to advise me they were not going to make the delivery, I could of gone to work for the remainer of the day. Ive missed a days pay by takeing a day off today and now have to take a second day off again unpaid so im now going to be out two days pay on top of the expence of a new fridge. They were not even able to offer me a guarteded window for delivery tomorrow even though it is a service you can pay for. They did off me a 150 gift voucher for the inconvience of the non delivery, but thats not much use as I dont have the need to purchase any new applances in the near furture.

Outstanding service

Outstanding service. Highly recommend this company. I ordered a clothes dryer the night before and it was delivered the next day just before Easter. The helpful delivery guys set it up for me and took away all the boxing and wrapping. Couldn't be happier.

Reliable company

Ordered a rangehood. It was delivered as scheduled for next day delivery. Probably not the cheapest online, but they do price match with most competitors and are very reliable. Will definitely use again.

Poor quality floor rug

Purchased Rug Culture Studio rug with a 12 month warranty. Now after less than 12 months it is showing signs of wear and tear with tangling and knotting so I contacted AOL. Was told this is expected with this type of rug due to traffic with no offer of compensation. The traffic in our household is made up of two retirees who are very careful. Why sell an inferior product? By this rationale, I need to buy a new rug every 12months. Is that fair use, I don’t think so but AOL does…
