I booked a car from AERCAR pathos. There was no problem booking online I had payed a deposit and already arranged the insurance (full package) When I got there there was new insurance information I did not know about. I’d already chosen full insurance package online but they gave me 3 options, one being pay €50 to be covered, second option was pay €800 and receive it back when dropping the car back and I forgot the third option but I had already agreed insurance on the online contract, I went with the €800 payment option which will be returned as long as you follow the instructions provided at the desk if there are any problems. I was advised I should take pictures of the car for prof of any damages which they all do. The car was covered in dents, cracks and this included a part lose rear bumper. Due to the fact I had paid €800 I took 2 full walk round videos of all the damages and panels of the car. I also decided to only use the car for the two long road trips to my destination and back, as well as two small shopping trips as I was now uncomfortable using the car that was damaged so bad on the chance of losing €800 . When I returned to have the car inspected straight away they said they noticed a crack on the back bumper had I taken any pictures. I showed them the video of the lose clip on the back bumper which was unlined and of the crack they claimed was new which was clearly faded and showed it was old and discoloured. I was then told okay you can have your €800 back but if I had no video evidence I would of been €800 out of pocket so if advise to steer clear as it seems pretty obvious this is a way they make extra income as the car was a bucket. They sent a message for reviews and I think I was a bit to nice with my ratings now I’ve read all the other comments on here. The shuttle bus drivers were great to talk to and very helpful though. A very unpleasant experience.
I was provided with an old Ford Focus estate that was in poor condition with 65,000 km on the clock. When getting the car there were warning lights on the dash and I was told “thats ok” and to ignore them when I questioned this. Overall the collection was quick and easy and that was the last of the good things with AerCar. The air conditioning was worse than anything I have experienced, dropped the internal temperature a few degrees but only when on absolutely full power. Made the driving during the day quite miserable and uncomfortable and you could not talk to anyone in the car over the noise of the fan and air conditioning. I had a blow out at night, which destroyed a tire that needed replacing and I was then charged for as I was told “you destroyed the tire”. Complete sidewall blowout and delamination of the tread from the carcass…..Never mind the fact that the spare tire was also flat, the wheel spanner was not the correct size and there was no jack in the car. Making a relatively straight forward wheel replacement a 90 minute exercise sitting in the dark on the side of the road waiting for a rescue vehicle to get to me. I was then responsible for getting the tire replaced. Great way to waste several hours of my holiday. Credit to the rescue team and Lagrome Trading for getting to me relatively quickly considering the area I was stranded in and then tire replacement in the morning. They were exceptional but only because they had nothing apart from an AerCar account to do the work. Poor maintenance of the vehicle provided and the lack of working tire sensors in the car further confirm this for me, they may have prevented the blowout as a fault would potentially have been raised before the blowout. When changing the tire it was clear this wheel had not been removed for some time, the corrosion between the wheel and the hub required an excessive amount of force to separate the two from each other, a 2ton rachet strap and rubber mallet the only thing to do this on the side of the road against the Armco barrier. The jack and tire spanner would have been useless on their own without the fully kitted rescue vehicle. I would love to see the service records as from the wheel change experience I don’t believe had gone through any maintenance or MOT equivalent anytime. Poor quality vehicle, lacking basics required ie Jack/tire spanner/inflated spare wheel, questionable road worthiness. I will not be using Aercar again and will go further to recommend to anyone not to use them.
We use their cars many times. Fair and decent. good value for your money.

Not clear where to pick up minibus at Paphos airport. On arrival at desk, only one desk open, meaning a delay after 45 minutes before access to car. Ordered a compact car, but given a Vauxhall Grand land. Numerous faults with car, indicator falling off car, binding brakes, clutch constantly alarm going uphill. Contacted Aercar, not interested in problem, were expected to return car, meaning a round trip of 2.5 hours, with no guarantee that a replacement car would be available. Took our full insurance, including tyres cover. Had a puncture on a main road. Tyre was bald. When we returned the car, long discussion including being accused of driving off road, which we did not do. Stuck toy guns, and refused to pay for tyre, as it was covered by the policy. Trued to intimidate, by 5 inspecting the tyre. Would never use them or recommend them to anyone else.

We rented a car from Aercar for a week and opted for their most comprehensive insurance coverage. Unfortunately, on the third day, my boyfriend accidentally scratched the car on the side by driving into a curb. Considering the minor nature of the scratch and that there was no involvement of other vehicles or police, we didn't think to call their emergency helpline at the time. When returning the car, we honestly reported the damage to the staff, who hadn't noticed it during their inspection. However, once aware of it, they claimed our insurance was void because we hadn't called them immediately after the accident, as stated in the contract. We argued that the contract lacked a clear definition of what constituted an "accident" and that other rental companies had covered similar damage without issue. It seemed to us that, while technically covered, they were trying to avoid paying for the damage. Since we were pressed for time to catch a flight, we ended up reluctantly paying them 200 euros. So, if you're thinking of renting from them, make sure you understand all clauses in their rental contract, especially those about insurance coverage. Or better yet, choose a larger, more reputable rental company to avoid potential disputes over coverage.

Easy booking, via booking.com and free shuttle service provided from the airport to their depot (approx 5-10min drive). Paperwork was quick and easy and staff were friendly at 23:00 when I rent the car. We hired a nissan note, automatic, which was clean and fuel efficient. The car was reliable, and we face no problem.

I had the best car rental experience ever. The customer service was exceptionally professional, and what stood out was the immediate return of the deposit after returning the car—an uncommon and much-appreciated bonus. Highly recommended!

Thieves!!! Be careful The car rent process went smoothly . The car was nice and clean. But unfortunately we had not a great experience with this company. We had a Dji Osmo Action camera with us, but because we were going to the public beach, we didn't want to take it with us, so we decided to leave the camera under the driver seat. And unfortunately we forgot about that( as we rented the car only for 2 days ). After we realised that we left the camera in the car we contacted the office, and the administrator set that she will try to search for it and also she set that this car wasn't rented to anyone else after us. We received a call probably after an hour, saying that there is nothing in the car. But we were 100% sure, that the camera is there, so she set that she will speak to the team, who was cleaning the car after our use. But again there was no luck. She even set that the manager will look at the cameras to see if there anyone from staff took the camera while cleaning the car( whish is probably impossible to see). I understand this is our mistake that we forgot the camera there. But I think is the company's responsibility to inform the customer about the lost property( specially when the things are expensive). We received only advice to check our luggages. But we knew that the camera was taken by someone from their staff.. So , people be careful with this company!! And check your personal belongings when returning the car.

Refused to give me a vehicle I paid for after over hearing a conversation with another passenger talking about kyrenia in Northern Cyprus. The male staff member went in the office obnoxious, rude and told me the booking had been cancelled as I was taking it to Northern Cyprus. There was no discussion it was just that's what I've done. Do not book. Awaiting refund apparently not their problem as I booked through an agency.

Battery went flat and had to book taxis which defeated the object of hiring a car! The woman at the Larnaca branch was ill mannered, obnoxious and very rude! No apology for terrible service either. Air conditioning in car did not work. Emergency number was unobtainable. Would not recommend.

Extremely poor and thieves. Customer service charged extortionate amount for something that was not my fault. I was charged €50 for side indicator lamp plastic cover missing. Highly likely it fell off at some stage wether on my journey or before I rented. Clearly this is manufacturer fault and not of the user. The bulb is working and functioning! I tried to reason with them but the staff member didn't care and threatened not to drop us to the airport if full amount not paid. €50 is not matching the actual cost of replacement including labour 🙄. AERCAR RENTALS are thieves. STAY CLEAR

Absolute criminals. I took a video of the car on rental day. On return they noticed a chip in the windscreen which was clearly visible on the video I took at the beginning of the rental but the manager insisted that this was done while in my care. I was charged 100 euro to go towards fixing the windscreen chip. Please don't rent a car with these people to avoid a bad experience
