Purchase, installation and setup was easy. Slight hurdle in automatically confirming my broadband details for setting up my own router but the help team sorted it asap

Changed from a different provider due to cost. Didn't expect the Internet to be this slow. Tried cancelling within the two week "cooling off" period. They said it was only from the date of order, rather than date of delivery. Not happy

Daniel, took me through the process. He was polite, professional and knowledgeable. Despite the process not being straightforward in my case he guided me throughout without a hitch. I'm looking forward to having Zen as my ISP

The very fact that I never have to…

The very fact that I never have to think about my service or the speeds tells me I have a five star consistent connection to the internet, I have been with Zen for a good few years now and it’s always been the same, five star, excellent speeds and great pricing.

Trouble free and the download speed is consistent

Trouble free and the download speed is consistent which is important as my last provider BT continually fluctuated resulting in having to reboot the router regularly.

Zen were efficient

Zen were efficient, tidy, helpful and polite! When installing fibre in the village, they were hardly noticed (in fact when installing at our end of the street, I didn't even notice). This is in contrast to the other lot with large lorries, full-size diggers, and one-way working, etc. When installing fibre to the house again very efficient -- came and went with very little disruption.

One of the few surviving reasons for me…

One of the few surviving reasons for me staying with Zen is the ISP-hosted email, which they stripped me of without warning when I upgraded my connection until I kicked up a fuss. On at least 3 occasions since, emails have ceased without warning because of a "mailbox full" issue. On this most recent occasion, my correspondents at least received the "courtesy" of a rejection notice, which is more than they've had on previous occasions and more than I've ever had. Nowhere on Zen's website have I been able to discover what size of mailbox is permitted; I despair of finding this out from Zen support because (a) it takes so long to get through and (b) the response to previous email issues has boiled down to the person advising me not to use it. I have removed 1.1 GB of historical emails from the server into local storage, but incoming emails are still being blocked: this suggests to me that the storage allowance is being quietly 'ratcheted down'. I'd be delighted to find myself mistaken in this belief, but in the meantime I have a concern about (a) potentially missing an important communication and (b) the inherent discourtesy of cutting off email without warning or notification. I have for years resisted the urge to come on here and slag Zen off, but it does appear to be the most effective (only effective?) way to get them to resolve matters in such a way that lessons are learned.

Truly Amazed.

I was a bit hesitant to place an order with Zen, due to bigger names offering similar deals and one always thinking might get second best service. How wrong I was. EE, BT and others were offering the same speed at similar prices, BUT I decided to give the underdog a chance, please try Zen out. Give them a chance. Zen a Company probably not as well known to me as the others. Today, I believe I have made the right choice. Zen has done everything right and has left me pleasantly surprised and extremely happy with the outcome. Equipment arrived on time. The latest generation Amazon eero Max 7 mesh wifi router arrived as promised, on time. Openreach switched on the service a few days earlier the promised, which was really surprising but also very generous of them. Everything was working perfectly fine. Really easy to setup. No issues whatsoever. Speed test results were and are perfect from day one, in fact better than advertised. My download speed is supersonic, 1.61 Gbps. My upload speeds are also fantastic, constantly increasing, currently I am getting 114 Mbps daily. Truthfully, give this Company a look. Zen may not be as well known as the competition BUT they leave all the competitors behind in the shadows. I have now been with Zen for over a month and honestly I am enjoying the journey. May it continue…..

Nearly perfect

When it comes to tech support - on those rare occasions something goes wrong - Zen folk are simply in a class of their own. Occasionally you get a 'doom loop' where what looks like an automated reply gets inserted into a live chat and tells you to do a whole load of things to fix a problem, when, er, yes, I've already done those....But a quick call - and speak to a human! - and one who can actually help! - gets you sorted. Why have I deducted a star? Because all of the problems I've had have been the fault of OpenReach, who are the absolute, utter pits, lying to me (and Zen) that they were in the 'process of fixing your fault' when they actually hadn't done anything (and it's OR management to blame, the people who come and fix things are great, but there's not enough of them) And Zen seems to have no control or influence over OR whatsoever, OR just do (or don't) their thing when they feel like it The other issue is that we're surrounded by areas which have FTTP via VM/nexfibre, Gigaclear and OR but none of these fibre provideers have plans to do our road, on the edge of a small town. Zen apparently can't influence their partners OR, Trooli, CityFibre etc to 'fibre our road' even though the take up would be virtually 100% and they're building in the area. And Zen can't even tell me if any of their partners have any plans to connect us, ever.....(and yes, I have asked multiple times)

Zen has fantastic customer service

Zen was recommended by a friend and the WHICH? magazine and the customer service over the change from BT was fantastic. We were offline for a few hours last Friday evening, but I think this was an Openreach issue as the right hand light on their wall box had stopped flashing. I reported this to Zen the following day and they acknowledged my report.

I am very happy with my Broadband…

I am very happy with my Broadband service from Zen. Zen by name, Zen by nature! If I need customer service, it is helpful, swift and actually customer service, not this scripted nonsense or AI we see from their competitors. I recommend them everywhere I go, as they are not well known in Northern Ireland. I got my Mum signed up recently too after a horrendous ordeal with Virgin Media.
