The best water company in my experience. Well run and sympathetic with customers when things go wrong at their property - as it did at mine when I was away! I got the problem fixed asap on my return but was expecting to get stung for the water used but Wessex Water didn’t hit me with a massive charge. They sent my case to a special board who decided I’d done my best to stop the wasted water and therefore didn’t deserve to get punished. I got a small nominal charge and that was it! That made me realise they’re a good company. That’s backed up by the total lack of any bad stories in the news about them. My advice - move to an area served by Wessex Water!

Repair of Domestic Sewer Blockage

I was very pleased with the overall service to resolve an unexpected issue. Having logged the issue out of hours using the online tool I was impressed with the immediate response meaning the next morning the issue had been resolved. Compliments to the process allowing me to relay information and all those who contributed to issue resolution.

Outstanding service

The customer service advisor who took our call was very helpful and Rudy was with us in a couple of hours. He was polite, diligent and kept us informed throughout the process, carrying out the job very thoroughly.

We have a recurring issue due to a…

We have a recurring issue due to a problem further down the pipes which results in sewerage backing up into our garden. Having been on a six monthly planned maintenance scheme it’s been a while since we last had an issue. Due to the volume of rain recently we found ourselves with an overflowing drain once again. We had a visit from 2 friendly young men yesterday to check the drain, followed up by Rob & Tom today who cleared up the mess (removing existing soiled weed membrane) & replacing it. They found the drain to be backing up once more on inspection & arranged for another engineer to call this afternoon to clear it. It’s an annoying & frustrating ongoing issue which we hoped would have been resolved properly by now. However we can’t fault the amazing engineers who have to come out & maintain, clear up & deal with the problem. We can’t thank the team enough for their prompt & efficient work & who are always friendly & good humoured when they visit our property.

When they listened there was action / All talk and no action

Update: I have changed this from 1 star to 5 stars. Credit where credit is due Wessex Water rang me and when they fully understood the circumstances offered to repair the leak. Actually getting Wessex Water to fulfil on their promises is a nightmare. I was told they would repair and given an incident number and a link to follow to see how the repair is progressing. After a month of no updates I though I had better ring customer services. Now I am being told it is not their problem and I have to deal with it myself. I have explained the reasons why this isn't possible, I would have thought under the circumstances a company of this stature would show a little more compassion. Citizens advice have told me to contact the Consumer Council for Water maybe this will help.

Very helpful

Very helpful call center and person that came to resolve the sewage drain issue. Came quickly and got problem resolved. Find it annoying that more cant be done sooner regarding people flushing wipes.

Outstanding Service

I called Wessex water as to be honest we have been struggling to pay it.. I was told that I qualify for a certain scheme and they set this up for me which has helped immensely, the lady I spoke to called Paige from bristol was helpful, understanding, friendly and empathetic, I came off the call feeling much happier and confident in being able to move forward with this. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the future
