Thank you to Jamie and Brandon, for doing such a good job with the garden stage of our install. They were really friendly and accomodating. You can tell they want to do the best job for the customer.
Very quick and efficient installation of the wires in the garden. team 4 were polite and helpful. Will be glad when it’s all up and running! Many thanks
Team 3, cheerful despite it being the last job on a humid day! All completed and tidy. Thanks Wessex 😀

We have been with Wessex for 4 years and both service and performance have been outstanding. Whilst there has been the occasional outage ( couple of times a year), it's never for that long and their customer team has always followed up to make sure service has been restored. Whilst there are some issues they can improve on, compared to BT, they are in a different league.

Swapped from BT because BT service was so awful, and for the first year or so we have been happy with Wessex. However the service has now deteriorated to the point where it is not fit for purpose. We are paying over the odds for download speeds that never materialise, latency is slow, the connection cuts out regularly throughout the day, and the hub is so weak that the signal barely reaches from one end of the house to the other. Customer service is shoddy. Emails are ignored or dealt with in a very offhand manner, and nothing is ever followed up. They know we have very few options in the countryside and they cannot be bothered to help us. Update 14th April - upgraded to 3 stars. We have been in touch with Wessex since my original review, so not sure why the reply below says that we have not. We were given £10 off one months fee as recompense for months of appalling service. However, the service has greatly improved since the mast was upgraded, the disconnection problems have mostly stopped and the service is much steadier.

Shocking company! Reading reviews I honestly think it’s a postcode lottery with them! They have been my internet provider for over a year and a half and constant issues. You report it and it takes ages for them to come back to you then nothing happens! One time they only responded when I put their speed tests on review sites. Constantly tell me they are working on the local mast (don’t know why it takes over a year to fix) and if it improves it only lasts a week before it’s rubbish again! Drops out at least 5-10 times a day and when working from home on video calls etc this is useless. I rely on streaming TV and it can’t even do this! They have still got my postcode area advertised on their website and charge for 50mb broadband even though they have admitted on the phone to me those speeds are not achievable in my village! Surely that’s fraud??? Normally if I get over 10mb constantly that’s a surprise. Complete waste of a company that takes advantage of little competition in our area!

I have just signed up with Wessex Internet and the service I have received so far has been exceptional. Tish in particular has made every effort to help us with the installation at our new house, and then another follow up call today to check on us. It is hard to see that I will swap provider again.

Getting speeds now generally 100mbps with fibre - had service over a year now. It’s making friends in local towns jealous! I’m in countryside south of Basingstoke. Only big problem I had locally was a few months ago, the service was fairly quickly restored after escalating - but coverage over bank holidays could be a problem. Lack of call blocking facility (and other common telephony features) needs some online guidance.

I don’t even want to give it a 1 star it deserves a 0, It’s awful, they are all lies, I wouldn’t even bother asking them anything a waste of time slow download speed drop connections bad signal around home bad company as an internet provider

AVOID AT ALL COSTS The communication of this company is almost as bad as the internet connection itself. Having called, and spoken to a member of their staff, I was told and engineer would be in contact ASAP as our internet was not working. 1 week passes. Nothing. An email chaser. Eventually getting a part response to the question, yet not very helpful. The saga continues with slow response times to get answers to question, and still, internet that does not work correctly. The internet itself is intermittent at best, with varying speeds that are not adequate for modern smart homes.

Used Wessex for 3 years, whilst Initially we got a good signal it now drops out randomly and is unreliable for work calls over Skype/Teams/Zoom etc. 5/6 times a day my laptop reports poor network quality and I have to abandon work calls. On demand TV/Films unavailable or bad pixel quality for whole evenings/afternoons. Various reasons given by customer service do not give me confidence that they can fix the issue and for £700+ per annum and a high installation charge you’re probably better off using a mobile network to hotspot your internet service. This approach - on an unlimited data bundle you can still watch TV/Films on demand for less than a third of the cost of Wessex. I’m now paying less than a third of what I was for a comparable 20mbps speed- I’ve never had any ‘super fast’ speeds of 30-50 mbps. Be careful before overpaying for 5G service which is worse than 4G or standard broadband.
