Broadband is probably one of those things you don't have a view about unless something goes wrong, which I guess is why a few people feel entitled to rant on Trustpilot. In my experience, Wessex Internet delivers incredibly reliable and high-speed service to my rural home. Over the last two years I've had complex technical requests (firewall settings for remote access), account requests (changing my billing plan back-and-forth a few times) and records requests. Every time I've contacted them, the Wessex Internet people have been competent, educated, and empowered to make decisions. It's a company run by actual human beings, not by flow charts and executives. I wish there were more companies like this one.

Wessex Internet are great at communicating with you, until they have taken your money. I had Wessex Internet install a dish on the 22nd of January to use their 'wireless' service. Since then the service has been completely below standard. The service offers poor latency, and the 50Mbps they promise is a complete lie (for reference, I have run 3 speed tests over the past half an hour through different services that have given me no higher than 4.9Mbps download speed (literally less than a tenth of what I'm paying for). I have complained to Wessex Internet numerous times about the service, but all of my emails have been completely ignored. If you are considering this service; don't. Save your money and go elsewhere with a more reliable and trustworthy company.

I live in the country and with standard provider we were getting 2.5 to 5 mbps on a good day and it dropped out regularly. Had dish installed by Wessex and now we average 30 mbps with 50 on a good day!. Paying the same as I was to BT.

Ordered Wessex Internet after checking availablility in my area on their online map, ticked their box to confirm that I’d checked, carried on and set up direct debit and cancelled my other supplier only to be contacted by email to say that although I’m in the “green area” they can’t supply me with internet after all. Check very carefully before going with this company, the website is misleading, apparently they can only provide to certain areas within the green areas 😳
