It is a big decision to make to change from BT but Wessex Internet made this very easy . The plans they offer plus taking over the land line financially was good plus to get reliable internet throughout the house made the whole change so worthwhile. There was no disruption outside as the new cable came in overhead as per the BT line. It has now been installed 5 months and there have been no problems, this includes the land line. We went for the 250mb plan, which is more then sufficient for us. Using an extender in the lounge we now have a reliable signal in even the furthest room from the router. A very good product and Company.

Installation & broadband was excellent. The ducting contractors & fibre layers, worked in appaling weather conditions, were efficient & pleasant to deal with. Installation into home, was excellent. Only porting over my existing landline, gave some hiccups, not enough clarity of information, about what/when it should take place or customer role in dealing with it. Eventually, today, it works. Thanks to Stephanie, who dealt with my many moans (is she the only person answering the phone?). Porting over now complete & working fine.

In contrast, when things go wrong or there are complaints, there is often no one to speak to, and claims of having customers at the forefront are not accurate. However, after contacting Wessex Internet via email to express my concerns about disruption caused by laying fibre cables near our house, I received an immediate response from Katie Gondelle, the Customer Resolutions Manager. She assured me that I would be contacted within 24 hours and was very supportive of my concerns. This was followed by a phone call from Katie, during which she listened to my concerns and assured me that someone senior would visit our house to discuss the matter. Katie was exceptional, exceeding expectations and embodying the qualities of a customer service manager. She actively listened and took everything on board. The following day, I received a visit from their Senior Project Manager, and all issues were resolved professionally and personally. I will undoubtedly sign up for Wessex Internet. Well done, Katie; you are a credit and a significant asset to your company. Thank you.

Garden team 3 were so pleasant, helpful and professional. Everything was discussed and they took great care in guiding the cable away from my precious plants. So little disruption,you'd hardly know they'd been here. And they gave cuddles to my attention seeking spaniel. All round great 5 ⭐experience.

A really good experience all round so far, from planning to bringing the fibre up our lane, digging up our paving and finally installing the router. A small billing mistake was quickly corrected once I pointed it out. Such a pleasure to be able to quickly get through on the phone to a real person working locally. I had been with BT for about 15 years but they showed no sign of installing fibre to my house so I went to the meetings that Wessex Internet (WI) held in our village and read the literature and the reviews. I decided to go for their "Full Fibre 250" package, as much for the upload speed (120 Mbps, which is 6 times faster than my BT) as the 250 Mbps download. I spoke with the teams doing the installation in our village in April and they all seemed very friendly and keen to do a good job. When they started digging in our road, I spoke with an installation manager about how they might bring the fibre into my house; we have a long gravel drive. He noted all my requests and, when the local instal team arrived in late April, they had all the details and laid the fibre exactly where I wanted it. A few days later, the connection team arrived and brought the fibre into my house, exactly where I wanted it. They then set up the router where I wanted it and tested it, achieving the contracted speeds. A week or so later, I noticed a slow upload and download so called Customer Services. They did a test which diagnosed an intermittent high "packet loss", so they sent an engineer out on 12 May to investigate. He diagnosed a slightly misaligned fibre splice in the box on the wall outside my house and made a new splice, which seemed to cure the problem. A couple of weeks later, I noticed that the 5GHz band had dropped out and my Nest Home Thermostat would not connect up to it when the 5GHz band came back on; I switched to the 2.4GHz and called Customer service. They said that they had had a few similar cases and pushed a firmware update to my router, which seems to have cured the problem. I was not surprised to have a few 'teething issues' but I was impressed with the way WI reacted. I am impressed with the package, especially faster uploads and the ability to watch UHD streamed TV for the first time!
