Waves Car Wash has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm.
My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle!
I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!
Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash.
The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with.
They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless.
Will wash it myself over the weekend.
GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.
So…book in my car and arrive on time to get a poor attitude from the start saying we’re busy and to come back later than when I should have. I come back and the car is still being worked on where I am then informed I owe an extra £5 for the car being dirty? That’s the whole point I took it in. I tried to query this but was made to feel very uncomfortable so paid it and then drove off. The car as a whole was ok but the tyres and trims hadn’t been properly washed…still dirty and hadn’t had the black gloss applied. For £30 I’d expect better quality and better customer service. I will not be using this company again.
Took my car for an exterior clean while I was shopping in Tesco. The prices were a little confusing and not clearly sign posted other than inside the employees cabin. I ended up paying for the bronze plus.
Where they did clean they did a great job however I notice major areas had been missed such as the wheel trims, the door sills, front and back bumpers at their lowest point and smears has been left on the windshield. Overall very average but the price of £17 I would have expected these areas to have been cleaned.
The site I visited advertised a 9am opening. I arrived at 8:50 so in plenty of time to ahead of any queue. I asked how long and was told that they couldn't start washing cars until 9:30 because they needed half an hour to set up. Is this false advertising? Then when trying to get in touch with the parent company, none of the links on the website worked so tried ringing. No one answered, just a recorded message saying how it was the franchisee's fault. So they are hiding behind their franchisees and exploiting their operatives. A sham shell company. The worst thing is that they are camped in Tesco's around the country so have captive markets.
I took my small hatchback for a basic £7 wash and was charged £15! No explanation, just ripped me off. I won't be using Waves ever again. Totally unprofessional and discourteous. Have complained to head office and requested a refund several days ago. Still waiting.
I've been walking past my local branch based in the carpark of Tescos in stevenage since it opened stopped to get information about what shampoo they use due to special coating on my vehicle the guy didn't speak English.
A previous review stated when they got their vehicle back the seats were wet on the day I stopped in the guy using pressure washer had the doors open and was cleaning the door edges and frames after seeing that definitely won't be taking my vehicle there.
I have noticed Waves cannot even be bothered to respond they must get so many negative reviews take to long
Tesco Hereford car wash. What can I say. Car came out filthy and the brushes ripped the spoiler off the rear of my Toyota CHR breaking all retaining clips. Spoke to Tesco who said they have no responsibility even though they sold me the product. Was supposed to be the ultimate wash. Shocking. Will never use again.
The effort to clean the outside was sloppy. I still see dirt that hasn’t even been hit with the pressure washer.
Worse though, my car has been left with scratches all over.
I have been using Waves Car Wash at Tescos, Fareham for over 4 years. The same managers (Liam and Alan) have been there throughout. Under their supervision their teams deliver a superb service. I have never been disappointed with their work and they really make my 13 year old car look showroom. It is particularly convenient as they operate in the Tesco underground car park so if the dog is in the car we can shop even when it is sunny. It helps that both Liam and Alan are very friendly and pleasant. Could not recommend more highly
I see a lot of bad reviews here but used the service at Tesco Lichfield Staffs and was excellent. £30 valet - Car beautifully washed and waxed, inside hoovered and cleaned and tyres blacked. Guys friendly. Wheels spotless so would certainly recommend this particular operation.
I turned up at 845am for my 9am appointment (in Tesco Watford car park) that I had booked a few days in advance (and got confirmation) only to find the car wash closed. I waited until 910am hoping that maybe someone would turn up but no one did. When I tried to call them I could not get through.
I went home and emailed them and got a reply basically apologising and telling me they had staffing issues. I know these things happen but what has happened to customer service these days?!!?
Had someone had the courtesy to call me, I would have accepted their apology and need not have given them an appauling review. No mention of any kind of goodwill gesture at all.
This was my first experience with them and needless to say, the last.
