Waves Car Wash has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm.
My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle!
I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!
Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash.
The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with.
They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless.
Will wash it myself over the weekend.
GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.
I arrived on the coldest day of the year to find Paul, at the Crediton branch, was having problems with the pumps due to them freezing, which was causing problems with the amount of cars he had to clean. Nevertheless, when he found out I had travelled 30 minutes to get there he managed to fit me in with good humour and a smile. Thankyou Paul - many would have turned me away!!
I asked about prices and was surprised to find that my Golf was a volume 3? I did question it but he said that was correct. As I only had £30 cash on me I very clearly asked for Bronze Gold which was £23 to clean just for the outside and pointed to it on the board, I told the man I only had £30 and he said that was fine and said come back in 30 minutes. I returned and was told the price was £35 as they had done it inside and out which I clearly did not ask for. The man became quite rude and said that was what I had asked for. It was his word against mine as there is no proof as to what you ask for i.e receipt… I was a bit cross but had to pay the money, he then said they take cards. To be fair they did a nice job but I felt conned as this was clearly not what I had asked for.
Do not go to this place robbing barstards, I took my car there went into Tescos they said bronze £8 pound I said yes came back out my car wasn’t even cleaned properly!! He then told me it was £15 pounds because I have a big car I have a fiat OMG it’s because I was a woman I gave him the £15 pounds but will never return !!!
I often use Waves at Tesco Bangor, Gwynedd, the guys there always do a great job, my car is immaculate afterwards and it is always finished in the time quoted. I can't praise them enough! See you again soon!
Took my new car for first wash.. not washed properly paid for wax don’t believe for one minute it was done.. very rushed job.. not wiped down properly … did it myself when I got home.. … I gave man my cash £25 😱… extortionate…. Then he questioned as to whether I had paid him.. I had to assure him that I had given him cash and he gave me the look of doubt😡 … then said he wasn’t feeling well ..even not sure what key was mine🙄…. I have lost faith in this car wash even though it all used to be a lovely experience… won’t be going back.
Wow - I have never been to a car wash service where the manager has been so rude. I pulled up to enquire about the service options to be told 'Read the signs, we are different'. I read the signs and asked for an internal clean. I asked the manager a few questions which he was extremely dismissive of (these were to find out if he would recommend a set clean!). Getting aggravated at me asking questions, I was then told to go and find another car wash. Don't worry I will! Highly recommend people stay away!
Very aggressive and rude manager at the Wembley Extra Tesco. As a disabled person who walked with a stick I was very scared of this aggressive person who bullied me into paying for a service that’s wa
I paid for a full Monty as described on the display. My car was left in the morning to be pick back up at 3pm. I get a text at 14.26 advising me that the car will be ready by 3pm. I took a car back to pick the car up only to be surprised 😳 when I get there the wheels weren’t even clean which was evident I used my finger and draw a line in the dirt that was on the wheels. The car was in the rain but from the photos you can see that the car was not valeted as promised. What what is frightened me most was the manager was very verbally aggressive towards me. I could not understand why was Issa angry with me when the evidence was there in front of his face he literally a cloth to clean between the wheel quickly. We are of actually photographing graph in doing it. This was a full valeting to be done. The most frightening thing again was that he held on to my car key. When I asked for my key, he was trying to wipe the wheel with a cloth to make sure I didn’t leave with it or prevented me from taking a photograph to show the true evidence, he said I need to pay the money first before he handed me the key. The other issue I like to raise is that I’ve never done a valeting before where the mats in the car was given to me in a plastic bag soaking wet. I was told when I ask question why are they wet? I thought it would be dry I was told I need to take them and dry them myself , this was a shock to me because before I taken the car to the car wash I was told that all this was going to be done clearly this wasn’t done. I’ve also raises my complaint with Tesco customer services due to the fact that literally I was bullied into paying for a service that didn’t took place . The manager was very aggressive and also the Tesco club points was not added to the card although I handed my Clubcard to the manager at Wembley Extra Waves bar wash. I am still in shock of the behaviour of these guys at the car wash. I find them to be quite rude as well even to a elderly lady who also complained to them that her windows weren’t cleaned. I heard one of the guys saying that her glasses needs changing and laughing at this elderly lady. I have been trying to contact Waves company but wasn’t getting through to anyone. Before I forget I told by the manager that he is going to put my registration number on every Tesco car wash and bond banned me from attending any of car wash I told him you can’t do that because if there is an issue I do have a right to raise a complaint without being banned from going to the car wash and to be honest I would not be going back to anyone in the car park or advise anyone either go there as this person is very rude the one at Wembley extra car wash very rude manager. Please note I would had given a 0 Rating if this was an option
Mold Tesco waves avoid. I have my car washed there now and again. Every time I go they say a different price. Today I went and said inside and out. He said £35.00. I said I pay £10 for wash and you now want £25.00 to hoover it out. He then said £25 and I said I’m not paying £15 to hoover it out. My car is never very dirty so wasn’t asking for a big job. I said no don’t bother and he said how much do you usually pay but I said I don’t want you to do it now. You were quite happy to rip me off so I will go elsewhere. I also work at Tesco and have heard loads of complaints from customers how they have been ripped off and they are rude. Very disappointed and I won’t go again.
